Dust and Homework
Katrina crouched on the ground scanning the endless lines of books. She was looking for a book on dragons for an essay. She stood up with a mountain of books perched on her arms as she stumbled to the table.
Hours later, she was done with the paper. Ink was splashed all over her hands and her robe. Albeit, the essay was one of her best. After more time reading up on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them she felt ready to sleep. She shoved the books back into their place on the shelf and left to go back to her common room.
Standing in the back of the room she looked at everybody talking amongst each other. How did she fit in? She was the lonely person wanting friends. If only Liam-her brother- went to Hogwarts. Than she wouldn’t be so alone.
She climbed the spiral staircase and sat on the edge of her bed. Dinner was in an hour. She opened her books and started reading about the History of Magic. She got distracted and started wondering if she should get a pet- an owl or a cat?
She heard the rest of the Gryffindors leave the common room and checked her watch. Dinner was in five minuets! She left from her bed and raced down to the grand hall. She would leave more studying for later.
