The year was finally coming to an end. Yes, that mean another holiday was in the works and the students of Hogwarts were free once more, but it also meant plenty of tests were to be thrown their way just before that. Did people really think the school was going to let them get away that quickly? If Falentra was to think long and hard on that, it wouldn't come as a shock. As much as she made it out to despise the place, she didn't. It was far better than her own home, but those pesky rules were just too hard for her to follow. This Slytherin preferred a more rebellious approach; to break those and create her own.
With the tests around the corner meant the library was suddenly a place of interest. Her dorm was the only alternative. But even that was an instant no-no. She never really fit in with the girls. It was always something about boys, makeup or fashion. Fashion she could understand more but even that, her style was unique and personal and not a topic she shared on too often. So the Library it was.
Upon entering, Falentra would be greeted with an earful of voices. Mainly whispers but the odd table had that class clown on it. The majority of seats were completely full and for those that weren't still made no difference to the Slytherin. She wanted her own space were she could think and not be nagged to death. Thankfully, the Library was quite a size. The further back you went, the less students there were. Falentra had come to learn that over the years of adventuring through the never-ending aisle cramped with books of sort. However, tonight there would be a surprise waiting at her usual spot.
A boy was seated towards a window with his face buried in a pile of papers. Who was he? Nobody ever sat here, ever. Had he been watching her before and decide to be brave and claim her seat this time round? Because if that was the case, he was about to get an nice surprise. Before approaching, she took a step back to process how to actually go about this. In the past she had always jumped to conclusions and let her anger take the lead but maybe the boy before her just had the same idea. To be left alone or at the very least be as far away from that proud bunch. She couldn't blame him if that was the case.
A calmer approach was probably best. Regardless, it didn't mean she was going to be so sweet. ''Hey,'' A quick acknowledgement was given as she made her way towards the table, her long legs carrying her petite frame to his side in a matter of seconds. A cold stare would find its way down to the boy. If he was to look up during the time of her studying him, he would find her brown hues scanning him up and down like a hawk, almost turning her nose up at his presence that she rudely interrupted.
''Who are you and you doin' 'ere? This is my area.'' It wasn't, but over time he would come to find that Falentras tone and choice in words were often not intentional and more of a guard she had up to prevent others from taking an interest in her or even worse, like her. The papers eventually caught her attention. With a swift movement, she had taken a handful of his papers into a grasp, scrunching up some of his work in the process. ''The fire-makin' spell, ey? How's that goin' for you?'' She tossed his work back onto the table, some scattering off to the ground from her lack of care. Going off his homework, he was a first year which meant his was little to no threat. Not with a wand anyway.
A few seconds would pass before she decided to sit herself down beside him, though a space was present to respect each of their personal space. Finally, a somewhat nice gesture to come from her. ''How you findin' your first year in this shithole?'' It was a genuine question but also another way to get a better understanding of who this kid was. He seemed to have more of a formal attire which wasn't common among the first years that she had ever encountered, and maybe..a well-to-do lad. A thought she would keep in mind for the future.
