Robyn had attended just a couple of Hogwarts events, such as the Halloween Ball which was slightly disastrous via cursed dolls and the Valentine's Day event which was definitely less disastrous. The librarian wanted to host her own event of sorts, much calmer, much less susceptible to cursed dolls and hag involvement, or even student drama. Though she wouldn't discount the last one from sneaking its way in. There were many books that were in some need of TLC, tender love and care. Books that hadn't been touched in ages and were worn from their previous use, or books that were checked out on a daily basis that were starting to show it. A simple Papyrus Reparo could fix most of them but Robyn decided instead to hold a session teaching students how to repair books by hand. It was something she learned over her years as librarian since it was important to know in case magic suddenly disappeared.

It came as a surprise to her that so many people signed up that a wait list was required. It actually made her quite nervous. She was setting out to impress the students, and she could only hope it worked out. She knew this wasn't the most thrilling thing to be doing on a Saturday but she hoped it would still pay off for them. Jo, one of the house elves that worked in the library, would direct students to a large area made up of several tables pushed together to fit 21 people. There were piles of books at various points of the table, as well as several stations of supplies. There was thread for rebinding books, glue, plastic sticks for smoothing out creases, specialty book repair tape as well as regular tape, really anything the students would need to fix any problem it was on the table for them. It was stuff that Robyn had from her own personal collection since this was an activity she enjoyed doing in her free time to relax.

As students would arrive she would look up and greet them with a smile and direct them to take a seat. Artemis, her owl, was jumping along the table looking for some scratches and attention from the arriving students. For now they were just meant to pick a book, start familiarizing themselves with the repairs it might need, say hi to friends, and eventually the errand would begin with Robyn going through how to fix each issue and wandering around if students needed help.

There was a sense of accomplishment that was to be obtained upon successfully accomplishing the (often) tedious task of repairs. Something about making an object shiny and new again- the muggle way- could always deliver the feeling of success that was so sought-after. Or maybe, that only applied to Xailah. The eccentric was big on restoration- mostly on tiny things, with gears and winding parts- though the general practice of taking things apart, and putting them back together new, was something she enjoyed overall. To deconstruct, was to discover- to see the vulnerabilities and delicate inner workings that could not be observed on an objects surface. Rebuilding simply made the object yours- made it more meaningful.

Naturally, an errand centered around repairing books intrigued her. Why, she had never repaired a book before. Burned, cut, ripped, folded, painted over (to make a nice present for someone), used as book-tower construction material- sure. But repair? That would be a first. And an exciting first at that. Xailah had first discovered her love for repairing, as a very small girl. Being the eldest child of the family, she often encountered broken thingamabobs; most of which, were the products of her younger sibling. She took the items, and gave them fixes. Nothing too extreme, just quick things that would hold long enough, until an individual who could make magical repairs came along. It kept her occupied during the slow hours of the day- still did in the present. Though, now it was more of a destresser. A hobby on the side of her... other hobbies. Seeing that Xailah was far more out of the loop as of late, than she would have liked to admit; book fixing was an errand much needed.

The gentle rasp of the heavy door leading to the library, would mark Xailahs arrival. A small box containing her tools for repair, could be found in one gloved hand. The bibliotheca was a place that the lioness had come to frequent more often. Not for the books, but for the bittersweet memory it contained. She met one of her closest, and dearest friends here. Xailah enjoyed the occasional dose of sentimentality, that the space provided. The librarian would quickly be spotted upon entrance. The lady's ensemble made her a target that could be easily identified. She always appeared to dress like a harbinger of autumn. Or some poor soul that was forever trapped in the 70's- which wasn't inherently a bad thing, the 70's were simply a very... interesting era. Autumnal Mascot, or 70's Baby- either worked as an appropriate descriptor for the womans present Freddy Krueger getup. Looking for little interaction, Xailah would give the Librarian a stern nod, before making her way to the table with the books that were in need of fixing.

She was looking for something specific. Something really broken; a book that could act as reflection of the things in her life that she thought were incapable of repair. Her eyes scanned each battered cover, with a hazy glow. She was gentle with picking, careful not to further destroy any of the books. She moved through the stacks, like smoke through a keyhole; sorting through each pile until she found her patient. She would then take a far seat. The book recovered, was a sad sight. Its cover was dark in color, scuffed, and bore no legible title. Its pages were worn, and detached from their spine. An absolute mess. The tome must have been one that was well-loved, maybe well-hated, and overall a victim of neglect. Yes. Xailah could fix it.

Since it was still break, Suzuki decided not to wear her uniform. She didn't want to trip on her robes again and knock over everything.
A boyish looking girl in a grey t-shirt, a pair of camouflage fatigues, and black combat boots stepped in the library.

Just like the rest of Hogwarts, the place was gigantic. Gigantic shelves stood next to gigantic columns, and gigantic windows let light in the room. Never had Suzuki ever seen so many books all in one place. Compared to this gigantic library, the small Muggle bookstores were a joke. Suzuki's eyes landed on a small table with stacks of books positioned on it. A reddish colored owl was walking, no, bouncing around on the table.

Suzuki had never actually been to the library before, but she did know it existed. It had taken her about a half hour to actually find and make her way to the library, thanks to the giganticness of Hogwarts.

It didn't help that the staircases down from the Gryffindor Common Rooms kept changing around. Suzuki had probably spent twenty minutes just trying to figure out which staircase led to where before they moved again.

She stuck her hand in the pockets of her fatigues, and headed towards the table. Up close now, she could see the condition of the books. They were tattered, worn, and ripped up. Suzuki wondered how old they were, and what they'd been through. Her eyes landed on a ripped up leather-bound book with a small golden symbol of- was that an orrery? It had a few scratch marks on the cover that Suzuki hoped was from a pet- perhaps a cat. The spine was a little split, which annoyed her.
Suzuki was a strong believer in respecting books. That included not bending their spines to the breaking point.

She picked up the old book, and paged through it. The pages were worn, and the rustle they made when turned was quite satisfying. It was about astronomy. Suzuki liked astronomy; it was a very interesting topic.

She would definitely read this book after she fixed it.

It was weird how errands seemed to be her constant safety belt to sanity in Hogwarts. Opeila's life had seemed to be going up and down hills for almost two years now, but she couldn't remember many errands she had missed out on. The last ones had been the bush people one- Opeila simply hadn't felt like dressing up like a tree- and the one that asked to present ones home. The Slytherin had gotten clear instructions to keep some things behind closed doors as well as keep a low profile. That errand would have been against what her grandmother had asked of her and even though the old woman was dead- or maybe simply because that was the case- Opeila had to do what she wanted. Or... at least what she still could. What she had told Jack crossed this line by far already.

This errand was an interesting one. Opeila did enjoy spending time in the library and fixing some of those old books... It felt like she was helping to preserve history and knowledge. For a while it had been possible to take Loras with her without any catastrophes happening, but then her cat had suddenly gone back to his old chaos-making behavior. Well, he was going to be two years old in a few days... Wasn't that teenager time for cats? If so, it likely made sense that he was going through different ways of behavior right now, assuming that cats went through phases like humans did. At least he didn't run off that often anymore.

Opeila was one of the first people to arrive it seemed. Only two other students were already there, one clearly older and vaguely familiar, the other around Opeila's age. Maybe younger. Immediately feeling a little awkward, Opeila entered the library and took a seat at the table. There were many chairs around, so it seemed that a rather big group had signed up. The young Slytherin had not looked at the signup list again after she put down her name, so she wouldn't know.

Greeting the other two kids as well as the librarian with a quiet "Hi", she pulled one of the damaged books over and looked at it, mainly to not just sit there without anything to do. It was weird how Opeila could handle masses of strangers- it was easy to blend in, maybe it was that- as well as being with few strangers, who were either kid or adult, but as soon as it mixed, she started to get slightly uncomfortable.

Books have always been the one thing that no matter what was going on Henry can always find comfort and reassurance in. The words printed on the pages were evidence that there were certain things that one could rely on to deliver the truth and won't experience anymore constant let downs or disappointments.

Recently however the thirteen year old haven't experience the same comfort in books like he had in past years when he would read letting hours of the day pass him by. Ever since his birthday a few days ago and finding out his twin was gone apparently with their maternal family; The Knights, Henry felt more determined to find out who exactly they were and where they are.

The pages that the teen gone through didn't provide him with the information that he required and now the one thing that felt natural to the thirteen year old, that felt comforting in stressful times didn't have the same feelings. He felt himself fading since books no longer could bring him relaxation like before.

Multiple days and nights since April 13th was spent in the library with the second year reading every book that he could get his hands on or haven't read yet. However a part of him still wander by the restricted section, a part of him still wondered if the information he was caving was hidden away among some of the books that held magic that wasn't even taught at Hogwarts.

Only problem was now exactly the thirteen year old would get into the forbidden section.

After a rather friendly chat with the librarian, simply asking for permission was out of the question and the teen figured there was probably a least likely chance of a professor giving a second year permission to enter the restricted section. Which meant his options were seriously limited to breaking curfew one night and sneaking into the restricted section of the library which Henry may have been mischievous and broke a few rules, didn't exactly want to break any rules within the library itself but his options to get into the section was already limited at it is.

For majority of the 16th, Henry spent inside the library reading every book one aisle at a time. While he just finished a rather lengthy book on astronomy, the thirteen year old noticed a sign up sheet to repair certain books in the library.

Of course Henry signed up, besides from the obvious that the second year was a book lover and was always up for the opportunity to help restore the one thing that passed knowledge between generations. Henry also thought that what if this was his chance to either sneak away into the restricted section or convince the librarian to allow him in for a few minutes at least.

But if both options would come to a rather dead end then at least he was able to help do some good in a place that the second year spends majority of his time in and also he just needs a new plan to get himself into the restricted section.

Waking up early the morning of the seventeenth, the second year mover carefully. Changing into a second hand pair of jeans and a rather thing sweater before tapping his fingers against his leg as a way to call his orange feline; Loki to follow him out.

The teen would lightly step through the Snape dormitory with his feline, rather careful not to wake anyone before exiting the dormitory and soon common room. A part of him was glad that he didn't run into anyone.

Before the errand, the second hear figured he could wait outside on the grounds somewhere to think or perhaps hangout with friends? Probably think thorough...

Henry would find himself leaning against a tree looking out across the ripping of the great lake waiting for the time to tick down, decided how exactly he was going to ignite his two plans.

His anxiety was increasing and mind focusing on what could go wrong or the possible situations that ended in disaster. Over the past few months of specific rather disastrous or dangerous events occur at Hogwarts hadn't been good for Henry's anxiety actually it was only making it easier for the teen to imagine the worse which increases the chance of a panic attack.

So much for his promise for second year which was to relax more... perhaps third year will be a better time for it...

Anyway the teen spent the remaining time trying to clam himself down by breathing before the errand with Loki by his side.

When the time tick down however, the thirteen year old would make his way at not exactly a slow pace but not a brisk one either.

Thoughts and possible situations filter inside his mind

The thirteen year old step inside the library and a odd but familiar feeling washed over him, creating a reassure within the teen.

Henry let his eyes scan around the library as he took a few more steps going deeper into the library with Loki by his side.

A table set up for 21.. no 22 perhaps counting the librarian filled with books that haven been ruined either by students or the years that passed. Materials to fixed the books also filled the table with four or five others surrounding the table.

Xailah who Henry remembered seeing from the frog choir audition which is how he knew their name and was pretty sure that they were a fourth year.

Opeila who Henry only recognized since they were both on the slytherin dueling team, most of the people on the team the boy didn't really know.

And another student that looked younger than Henry, perhaps a first year but besides from that seem unfamiliar to Henry.

The thirteen year old walked along the table and put on a smile, showing no other emotion, as he gave a small wave to the librarian and spoke" hello, Professor Finely. How are you today?" Before taking a place alone the table and spotting the small owl that was place there.

Henry would hold his hand out to the creature to sniff, if the owl permitted him to then Henry would lightly pet the back of his head but if not then Henry would reach for a book on ancient ruins and begin refurbishing it.

His thoughts wondered over to his plan and what exactly could for wrong, the teen canned his neck to door for a moment before turning back to his book.

Didn't Cash mention about signing up for this today?

Not sure if the fellow slytherin who he consider a friend was going to arriving for the errand, Henry focused his thoughts back on his plan and figured if they both did fail or if he decided not to go through with either then there was always the option of meeting with Logan and creating proper plan with his best friend to get into the restricted section.

The thirteen year old was pretty focus at attempting to rebound the book on ancient ruins and wasn't really paying attention to his feline who would run from him and to Lucia Fox when she would enter, demanding attention from her but ignoring anyone else who attempted to touch him.

Anja had been looking forward to the class the librarian was giving on Wednesday for days. She had never really had the chance to talk to the librarian before, and hoped this would be it. Reading had been a passion of hers since she was very little — you didn’t have to be a Ravenclaw to enjoy a good book. Her favourite books were Muggle fantasy, but her parents didn’t even know she read any Muggle books. Her friend's parents often sent her them from Finland, and then she would devour them in a matter of days — if not hours. She would then send glowing (or, frankly, damning) reviews back to her friend, begging her to or absolutely forbidding her from reading it.

She absently stroked the soft fur of her cat, Rusalka, as she wondered what kind of book she’d pick to repair and the spells she’d be using. Glancing at the clock beside her bed, she jumped up. She wanted to be as early as possible so that she might get to talk to the librarian, but she knew that she would probably be too taken up with the books to have the time. She picked up her wand from her bedside table, adjusting her school robes as she stood. Rusalka jumped down from the bed, and wound herself around Anja’s ankles. Anja stooped down and lifted the four-month-old cat from the ground. She was still a kitten, really, but Anja refused to see her that way. They had started off a little rocky, but her respect for Rusalka had never waned.

“You’re going to have to stay behind,” she said, placing the cat back on the bed. Rusalka simply jumped off again, sitting in front of her with a look in her eyes that clearly said, well, I’m waiting. Anja sighed. “Alright then,” she said, “you can come with me. But behave yourself — I don’t want you scratching anyone or destroying books.” Finally, she turned on her heel and exited the dorm, Rusalka following close behind.

Anja took the quickest route up to the library. Rusalka trotted along slowly — too slowly, so Anja picked her up and hurried on to the library. Once she reached it, she put Rusalka down and slowed her pace so that the cat could walk alongside her. Anja’s school shoes clicked as she walked along the wood floor and arrived at the table. She uttered a quick greeting of “Good afternoon,” to the four students and the librarian standing around the table. She recognised one of them as Opeila, the second year from her dorm. To be honest, they hadn’t talked that much, but she was glad to see a familiar face on the errand. She took a seat beside her. Rusalka jumped up onto her lap, so she pushed her chair out a little. Not wanting to disturb the peaceful cat, she held her as she leaned forward to grasp one of the damaged books — a thick tome, happening to be on the subject of the wandlore. Anja had always been interested in wandlore, and though she knew she wouldn’t be able to study it for some while, she was interested in the book.

Rusalka shifted herself in Anja’s lap, so she opted to guide the cat onto her shoulder. If she sat up straight, Rusalka liked to climb onto her shoulder and stay there. After settling back down, she turned to Opeila, and said quietly, “Hi, Opeila. I didn’t know you’d signed up for this as well.”

When Lucia heard that there was an errand going on in the library, she immediately signed up. She loved being surrounded by books, and if this errand could give her a legitimate excuse for spending time in the library when she should be doing her herbology homework then she was completely ready to do so! Then she saw what the errand actually was. Book mending. Lucia... couldn't mend books. She'd always thought it looked cool, but back at home the Fox family house elf, Rosa, would always magically mend any books which needed to be cared for. Of course, Lucia knew the very basics about how to keep books nice (don't leave them open on the floor instead of using a bookmark, don't drop them in the bath, don't set them on fire) but nothing that would really help anyone during this errand. Well, she guessed she would just have to learn.

Lucia wasn't planning on letting River come, but she did anyway. Once the purple pygmy puff realised that her only friend (River was a bit of a loner) was about to leave, she refused to let Lucia do so until she took River with her. Eventually, the constant squeaks began to give Lucia a headache and she got scared that she'd step on her pet, who was rolling around on the floor in front of her, so she gave in and lifted River onto her shoulder, telling her to be good. Lucia just hoped she wouldn't accidentally ruin any of the books. Wait, were pets even allowed in the library? She'd never let River in there before... Oh Merlin, she really hoped she wouldn't be kicked out. Well, it was too late now.

When she entered the library, Lucia was immediately set upon by a tabby cat. Wait, what? The cat pawed at her legs and mewed pitifully, much to the confusion of the Hufflepuff. "Um." Lucia looked around her but she couldn't see anyone who was looking for the cat. "Hey, uh, is this anyone's cat?" she asked quietly, but recieved no answer. River squeaked in her ear and Lucia suddenly had a flash of an idea. Was the cat trying to get to River? She remembered how Lindsey's cat had been scared of the pygmy puff and stepped backwards from the cat, but then she found herself up against a bookshelf. "Um- River, shut up-" Was she supposed to stroke it? She'd never been particularly good with animals.

She wished she had a pet.
Everyone else had one.
An owl, maybe.
Or a cat.

Picking up a few supplies, she began working at the old book, carefully fixing it's cracked spine and ripped up cover. The more she worked, the more bored she got. Still, she focused on fixing the book in front of her- she'd signed up for the errand as well. And she would earn some money, which was crucial in the process of earning enough money to buy a pet.
Still though, it was a long shot. She didn't even have a full galleon yet.
Maybe Mom could lend me some money... If she ever read the letters I sent by owl post to her...

Just then, Suzuki recognized a head. The hotshot. The pale one with the grey eyes. Beside her, a sassy looking cat sat. So even this one has a pet.
Suzuki didn't feel inclined to say hi; instead, she continued patching up the book in her hands, still bored. Gahh...

She didn't think the scratch marks on the cover of the book were from a pet. Tracing a finger along a scratch, she sighed and poked around, trying to find some tools that might help patch it up.

Apr. 17/Library
Aspen was so excited about this errand. The second she heard about it, she all but raced to the library to sign up. I mean, what is there not to love, an errand where you get to hang out in the library and help mend books all day, it is perfect.

Aspen made her way to the library mid-morning on April 17th with a skip in her step. She took extra care getting dressed this morning and just felt purely content for the first time in a while. As she entered, Aspen would wave at the house elves as she walks over to the table. She falters for a moment, trying to figure out where to sit, who to talk to, all that. She sees Henry, but their last meeting was not exactly one that makes people friends, so she decides to sit across from a raven-haired girl in Slytherin robes and a girl who looks a bit older than Aspen.

The two girls are exchanging pleasantries, so Aspen decides that maybe now is a good time to try to make a friend or two. As she slings her bag across the back of the chair and sits, she offers a little wave to the two girls, "Hey, I'm Aspen."

"Hey, I'm Aspen,"

Anja turned around, seeing a girl about her age with black hair and a smile on her face. she pulled Rusalka from her shoulder as she held her right hand out to shake. "Anja Murtaja," she said with a cordial smile, "nice to meet you." Aspen was dressed in very cheerful Muggle clothes — ripped jeans and a short top with a rainbow emblazoned across the chest. Anja raised her eyebrow imperceptibly at the girl and herself. She seemed to be the only one who was actually wearing their school robes, but she liked them. They felt like a safety net around her, the only thing that seemed remotely close to what she was used to.

Taking a closer look at the students, she realised one of them was that Gryffindor who had run into her in the Great Hall. She kept popping up everywhere, and it annoyed Anja that it was always a Gryffindor crashing into her. She fixed her gaze on the girl and gave her a small smirk. It faded a little as she stared back down at the cover of her book, turning away from Aspen. Rusalka leapt from her hands and onto the large cover of the tome, curling up on top. Her sharp amber eyes drooped a little as she began to fall asleep. Anja stroked her soft grey fur.

"Why are you always making my life harder?" she whispered to the sleeping cat, smiling a small smile. Looking back at Aspen, she said, "You can stroke her if you like. Just be careful, she might scratch you," Anja's mouth tilted up again at this, remembering how Rusalka had scratched her before she bought her. "Her name is Rusalka, by the way." It was the name of a Slavic demon, and it was perfect — she was an absolute demon when she wanted something. Happy to make small talk with Aspen, she asked, "Do you have a pet?"
