Herbology is not an option
@Simon Kincaid
Gabriella was annoyed, to say the least. For a start, she had Herbology homework, which she hated, and nobody would give her any peace in the common room. She just hoped she'd be left in peace to do her Herbology in the library, as she needed to concentrate if she wanted to get good grades in that.
She edged into the library, clutching her school satchel by her side. Not many students sat in the library already, which was a good sign. Maybe she could just finish her Herbology quickly and head back to the common room to talk with her fellow Ravenclaws. Her fellow Ravenclaws... she sighed. It was January, but still she didn't have any classmates she could call 'friends'. Of course, there had been promising starts - there had been Henry, there had been Joyce, there had been Elliot - but none of those relationships had really lasted very long. That reminds me, she thought to herself, I need to owl Henry if I can't find him later.
Now, however, she wasn't focused on making friends. That was a secondary problem which she needed to fix later. The current problem was her Herbology. Although, if I could fix both problems at the same time, I wouldn't complain, she said to herself.
Despite having come down to the library to escape people, she was now rather excited at the prospect of possibly making a friend, and her mindset could change very quickly, so she made sure to sit at a big table right near the door so that anyone who came into the library might be able to see her. Herbology wouldn't be an option if someone came through that door, she told herself. It might be another of her procrastination methods, but at least she'd be fixing problem number two, as well.
