☆@Amara Dragamior☆Permission for some light godmodding givenEarl had just finished his very first astronomy class, and it was safe to say...he wasn't doing too well. The terms had all flown right over his head, notes he'd taken being more focused on aesthetics than anything else. Meaning he had a parchment full of beautifully drawn headings, with nothing else written on it. Now, he was walking into the library, looking rather pale, the small white drawstring bag thrown over one shoulder.
It was the first time he'd stepped in the library, and the grand room had a way of making him feel very, very. very small. For maybe the first time since he'd stepped foot in the castle, Earl wasn't smiling. And boy, did it make a difference. Because when Earl didn't smile, you started to notice other things about him. The gray and black clothing, and porcelain white skin. Frame so fragile he seemed like he'd break if you as much as breathed on him too hard. Pale fingers gripping the strap of his bag just a little too hard.
Pulling up a chair at one of the small wooden tables which dotted the library, Earl set his bag down on his lap and dug through it, pulling out his astronomy text book and pencil case, both of which should not, under any circumstances, have fit in the petite space. 'I'm going to fail.' he thought silently, a cold sweat passing him over. 'I'm gonna fail, and dad is gonna be mad at me...'
Three hours passed. Three hours worth of taking notes until his hand was cramping, purple and blue ink spotting his fingers, detailed drawings of orreries and stars slowly starting to appear on the parchment. His eyes were growing tired, attention wandering every other minute, looking around at the other people in the library for any sort of excuse to get away from his work. And finally, such an excuse appeared.
Flowing golden hair and eyes as clear as mountain lakes, skin the color of milk. She was gorgeous. She'd also walked in with her nose in a book, nearly running into a desk. Now that, Earl could appreciate. A small smile came on his face, banishing the creases in his brow. It was such a relief to put the pen down and fold up the parchment paper. He stretched, and the pink puff stretching was a magnificent thing indeed, involving his whole body arching elegantly, a cat like groan escaping him as several things cracked. Yep. Never studying that hard again, no sir.
"Amara!" he whispered, knocking lightly on his desk to get her attention, beaming in the girl's direction. All at once, the tiredness seemed to vanish. When Earl was upset, he looked ordinary, boring even. But once a smile graced his lips, all the seemed to fall away, the joy making him more beautiful than should have been humanly possible. He was just as small and gray, the pink hair being the only thing which differentiated him from an old black and white photograph. Rather than looking at that, you noticed his eyes, the graceful arch of his back and deliberately cuffed jeans, you saw the styled hair, and freckles which covered the bridge of his nose and cheeks. Now, the whole room seemed to brighten up, joy infectious.Word Count: 560

Amara just had History of Magic and was left with many questions about the content. With her History of Magic textbook in hand, bag resting on her shoulder, and hair flowing down her back, Amara Dragamior looked unapproachable. That is, to most, since some obnoxious first year decided to bother her once she sat down. This pink-haired boy, clearly a Hufflepuff, somehow seemed to know her name. "You know me how?" she asks, not even bothering to look at him.
Flipping a section of hair over her shoulder, Amara gets back to the book, trying to ignore the first year staring over her shoulder and fidgeting. Trying to ignore the pink hair that is in her face. After a few moments, she slams the book shut, a loud noise that echos throughout the library and turns back to the first year. The blonde girl usually is not this mean but today, she is. This morning, she finally worked up the courage to write the letter the Hanzo to break up with him and is still feeling the side-effects, even though she has not sent it yet.
"What do you want?" The Dragamior heir asks in a curt tone, wanting to rid herself of this nuisance so she can lose herself in her work again.

☆ @Amara Dragamior ☆Earl's smile faltered, and a brief flash of hurt crossed his face, making him want to sink down in his chair and shut up. Oh. Okay. What did I do wrong??? Fingers went up to the raggedy gray scarf around his throat, knotting and unknotting the strands which trailed all the way down to his ribs. "I just wanted to say I love you makeup," he said, looking as if he'd been slapped. The noise of her book slamming caused a flinch so violently the small drawstring bag slipped from between his delicate fingers. It fell to the floor with a loud thump, despite looking as if it weighed nothing, the sound of something breaking cutting the silence which had taken over the library. Several people were staring at them now. "Sorry, sorry," he squeaked ducking his head guiltily when the librarian turned to look at them, finger already to her lips in the most aggressive 'Shush' Earl had ever seen.
Bending over to pick up his bag, he carefully opened it, checking to make sure his bottle of ink hadn't broken and stained all the text books. Nope. It was his hand mirror instead, shards of glass lining the bottom of the bag, somehow not having sliced through the material*. He fished as many of them out as he could, getting down on his knees to do so and cutting his hands several times in the process. Well. It was better his skin than his bag. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you," he told Amara with a pale smile, closing the bag and throwing it over his shoulder. Slipping on the fingerless gloves he'd fished from the pocket of his jeans to stop the bleeding from his palms, Earl opened the inside of his coat and pulled out a ziplock bag full of cookies, chocolate and hard candy. "Maybe this will make you feel better?" he asked, setting it on the table beside her, careful not to get any blood on it. "I mean, chocolate makes everything better. That's what I think anyway. Whatever it is that's bothering you, I hope it gets better." having finished his speech, Earl gave her one last smile before making to leave out of the library.Word Count: 332

In a good mood, Amara is a joy. But right now, all she wants is some peace and quiet. Of course, the same boy who decided to interrupt her also seems to be genuinely nice. She sees him jump, hears him apologize, and sets her book to the side, quietly this time. As he fishes something out of his bag Amara sees a small drop of red blood drip onto the floor.
"Thank you, I mean it is nothing special but thank you."
The pink-haired boy sets a bag of sweets onto the table and turns as if he is going to walk away. Damn it. Amara cannot seem to stay angry at this boy. "Hey, strawberry, come back over here. Let me help with your hand, that does not look good"
Amara tucks some of her golden hair behind one of her ears and plops a lemon hard candy into her mouth. She sucks on it, letting the initial bitterness she felt wash away with the bitterness of the candy and let it be replaced by the sweetness that this boy seems to radiate. Maybe some light would not be bad, maybe some lighthearted interactions would not kill her, maybe enjoying her school year is possible.

☆ @Amara Dragamior ☆AbilitiesNote: Matched your length!ReducioA huge grin fluttered onto Earl’s face upon being called ‘strawberry’. He’d been called many things before, but this wasn’t one of them. A mischievous look flashed over his eyes, and the next second his hair had changed to half silver, half cyan. “What does that make me now?” he laughed, having closed his hand to stop the bleeding. Normally this would have been the time to do a hair flip, but considering the ridiculous amount of blood he’d had to clean off his shirts lately, he didn’t want to get any more on himself. So he played it safe, keeping his arms by his sides and beaming up at Amara. She was terrifying, and the first look she’d thrown him could have shriveled up plants. Thankfully, he wasn’t a plant. “You’d get along with my brother,” he mused, biting his lip as he took her in. Whether that was a compliment or not would remain unknown, unless she actually met Draven.
After a second’s hesitation spent debating whether he SHOULD actually walk closer, considering how cruel she’d just been…he ended up by her side anyway, extending his hand meekly so that she may take a look. “I’m clumsy,” he admitted as the cyan and gray slowly faded from his hair, replaced with its ‘natural’ cotton candy pink. “I’m really sorry for upsetting you, like I promise that was not what I meant to do, like…I’ve just seen you around and heard people talk about you, and I just wanted to say hi…honest.”
