Love Note Leavers
Interacting with @Riannon Campbell
" Thank you very much ! I know I can do it, but it is soooo boring, I prefer to train for casting spells. " I then said more for myself than for Riannon " I should probably ask Lauren to help me, I will never stop focusing with her. " Towards Riannon, I added " Lauren and Alex are my sisters, they are twins. Lauren is in Ravenclaw, as me and Alex in Gryffindor. This letter is a prank for Alex because I looove to prank her. What about you, do you have any sibling? "
I took another paper because I didn't want to end this moment. By the time I will have finished to write all my letters, I will need to go back to my homeworks... Well actually, to start them and I didn't want to write them at all.
To whom could I write a letter ? Maybe Lauren ? She will never become jealous of Alex because I wrote a letter to her, but I thought it could be great to thankful her for all she has done to me.
Dear Lauren,
I wanted to thank you for everything you have ever done to me. I know I can be a pain sometimes because I am always moving everywhere, talking and I know that you prefer the quietness sometimes.
Without you, I am not able to stay calm because I am boring and as soon as that happened I have to find a way to break the boredom, which often means a lot of noise. I have always been impressed about your imagination. Your stories are incredible and I hope someday you will become a well-known writer because you deserve it.
By the way, have you heard from Alex's secret admirator lately ? How do I know that ? Well you know that I always know everything. I think we have to do a secret meeting together to speak about that someday.
I hope you are spending a nice day and if not, I hope this letter will be the light of your dark day. If not, let me know and I will yell at the envelope which has probably erase the magic of my words.
I love you so much,
Your little sis' Riley
I am not really used to say this kind of things because I am not often serious but I meant what I wrote. I decided to let my creativity put some glitters as I knew Lauren will not hold it against me. I have just been carefull to be sure that the text could still be reading.

Kaylie walked excitedly to the library. Kaylie was going to write a letter to her mother to thank her for the dress she had made her. Kaylie had decide to dress in common clothes a white shirt with a bright red heart in the middle tucked into a pleated red skirt and some white flats. When Kaylie walked into the library she saw Professor Hjørdis Jensen sitting there also writing a letter. Kaylie walked up to her with a bright smile and said " Hello there Professor Jensen!" Kaylie placed her parchment on the table and wrote her letter in plain black ink
Kaylie smiled and let out a small but quiet squeal as she finished the letter.𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘔𝘶𝘮,
I am so very excited to let you that I've been sorted into the house of Hufflepuff at Hogwarts. I really wish I could have written to you sooner, but I've been caught up in classes and homework. I really miss you and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to come to Hogwarts.
There is a lot to learn and so much fun and exciting classes. I'm also writing to tell you that My academic average is an E due to my charms assignment, but I'm hoping I can get it to an O with my History of Magic homework. I know you've been struggling with the loss a father, but I hope you realize that there is no reason to grieve because there is so much good in the world.
I love you mum. I hope to receive a letter from you soon. I miss you so so much.

Dealla was nearly storming into the library, determination written all over her face. She hadn't even been planning to come here today, she had hoped to just finish her Potions homework in the common room and then spend the rest of the day outside, enjoying the fine weather, but after staring at her parchment for the better part of half an hour, she just knew she needed another source. This wasn't enough? Not complex enough, not enough thought in it, and especially in Potions, she needed to be excellent.
So she'd stuffed the start of her essay into her bag along with her favorite quill and ink, and gone to find that perfect source that would give her the inspiration to write that truly outstanding essay she wanted.
However, as she was browsing the Potions section of the library, something else caught her eye.
Write a letter day? Was that a thing? She'd never heard of it, but it sounded interesting enough for her to put the book back onto the shelf and wander over to the section of the library where students had gathered, sitting along the tables and scritching away at what were, apparently, letters.
Dee paused, watching the students for a second. She had never written a letter before. She had never had anyone to write a letter to, her entire life and everyone she'd known had been in Whitehaven, and her every day here at Hogwarts so far had been so full and exciting and distracting that she had never sat down to write a letter home to her parents, either. Not even really thought about it. She'd missed them, sure, but she had never done anything about it.
Suddenly, she felt a small thread of excitement unfurl in her stomach. Writing a letter seemed like the perfect idea, for some reason.
Her homework forgotten, she grabbed a clipboard and an obnoxious pink glitter pen that she just knew would make her dad laugh off a nearby table and plopped down into one of the unoccupied beanbags.
And then she paused. What did she even want to write? So much had happened here, but now that she wanted to write it down, her head was empty. It felt both like she had too much to tell, and nothing at all.
So, instead of penning a letter to her parents, she started scribbling down a note to one of the friends she had made here at the castle.
Dealla paused, reading through the letter again. It was a bit odd, she supposed, very familiar in some places and then somehow stilted in the next when she had felt like she needed to justify herself for even writing this. But it should be fine, Blake had handled her antics perfectly well so far.Hey there, Fungus Master!
I know our first research trip together didn't amount to much, but it's been a while, so I wanted to ask how you felt about going to look for that secret room this time? You know you also felt that draft! It's there for sure.
I had a lot of fun last time and I think you did, too, so!!! There should be no reason for us not to go, right? And I could really use you on this trip, you made an excellent companion last time.
Please let me know what you think.
- Dee
And then she realized she'd written the entire letter in that ridiculous pink glitter pen.
She squinted at it for a second, then shrugged. Whatever. The content was the important part.

Alright, who's next? Her thumb gently tapped against the feather of her quill. Eyes looking around as she tried to think of someone to write to. Maybe she should really write one to Quinn even though she saw him occasionally. With flustered red cheeks, she hesitantly started to scratch on the paper:
Shakey hands looked for an envelope beside her, carefully folding the letter, to then slide it in. It took her a while to actually seal the thing. Her blue eyes peering at the letter that were slightly readable through the pale paper. She felt scared. But why? It was but a letter. No! It wasn't just a letter. The words she wrote down were fragile, like glass, yet heavy like lead. The meaning attatched to it meant the world to her. She could only hope they reached him the way she had hoped them to. After what might've been 15 minutes, the dhampir could finally muster a smile on her face. Surely he'd appreciate the letter. Right? With certain determination, she put that letter on the pile next to her, ready to send it with an owl later.Dear Quinn,
Here I am. Writing you a letter. I know that we see each other pretty often but I thought a letter would be pretty fun to send you. Talking is fine and all that. But why not have something you can physically hold in your hands that reminds you of me, right? You can read these words over and over and they won't go away! You won't be able to forget what I tell you since letters don't run anywhere. Of course, in this magical world where we met by chance, it wouldn't surprise me if some magical spell could make letters dance...
Please don't do that. Writing this is pretty important to me. You have the time to decide what you want to put in words. That doesn't mean I'm less nervous... But atleast you can't make fun of my blushy face.
What I actually want to write... I'm grateful that you stomped into my life with those big feet of yours. Even though my neck hurts when I try to look at your face, even though I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with you in the halls, even though you don't always notice how much you actually mean to me,... Maybe someday you might!
For my sweet gingerbread giant,
-Nico

Serena pondered who to write to. It was kind of hard to know who might actually want a letter. Then again, why would you not want a letter? Letters were great. It was a nice way of connecting with someone without actually having to go and find them. You could write to absolutely you want to, even if they were far away or someone you normally could not speak to. It was sweet. She could write to all of her closest friends but she also saw them all the time. It seemed a little odd to write to them when they met daily.
Though perhaps that was why she ought to write to them. As she reflected on the year, she thought about who to actually write to.
Dear Jack,
It has been a while, how are you doing? Hopefully no one else has been mistakenly taking you for a certain Gryffindor boy? I imagine it would result in a lot of fights and uncomfortable situations if that were to happen, after all.
I am still sorry that that was pretty much the introduction to your Hogwarts life. Hopefully it has gotten somewhat better since. I heard that you made prefect? Congratulations!
I know it might seem strange at times. You may wonder 'do I deserve this?' or 'should I be prefect?', especially whenever something bad happens right in front of your eyes and you feel powerless to do anything. Let me warn you now, it's not you - it's the school. It does that to everyone and I guess it really just takes a strong person to not let it affect them. I hope you find the strength you need to be free of these feelings.
If I can of any help, please do let me know.
Yours Sincerely,
Serena J. Towers

Serena folded up the last letter she had written, after it dried. Tapping her quill onto the table - lightly, of course, for fear of damaging the tip - she pondered about who else she might write to. It hit her like a wave. A Slytherin that she had hung out with almost two years ago. She had not seen him in ages, to be honest. He sort of... dropped out of classes. But she thought she saw him the other day, out of the blue. Somehow, he was back in Hogwarts.
Dear Ezekiel Wasek,
I thought I saw you the other day, in the Great Hall. Of course, you were at the Slytherin table so I couldn't come chat but I realised that I have not seen you in ages. Not since we totally did not go off campus or do anything we were not meant to be doing. Eh, who cares, we already got the detention for it. Since we snuck out to Hogsmeade in first year!
Pretty much since first year, in fact. What happened?! I heard you're in first year again, which would explain why I haven't seen you in classes for a while but what the heck happened dude? Is everything okay? I am glad you're back at Hogwarts but yeah, I haven't seen you since that sweet shop trip.
Update, please.
Yours Sincerely,
Serena J. Towers

Once River saw that Cassandra had opened and seen the letter was from River, she smiled and pulled out another piece of parchment. She decided to get to writing another letter Cassandra also dove back into the parchment with a quill and some ink. Writing letters had been a lot more fun than she’d expected it to. The young ravenclaw had always liked writing, but for some reason she hadn’t had the greatest expectations for this letter-writing meeting. It had been calming, and a much needed break from the solitary reading and studying she’d been up to previously.
Also, she was very happy to finally give an attempt to come in contact with some old, and some perhaps new friends. Coming here with no set pans of who to write to had turned out to be a good thing as well. Now, her only issue was figuring out the next person to write to. Perhaps she’d try writing a letter to some more old friends that she hadn’t talked to in ages? There were still many names on her list of people she missed talking to. A great number of relationships had faded away over the years, and River thought maybe this was the situation she’d waited for to get back in touch with some of those people.
Gripping her quill, River lightly dipped it in some ink and began scratching away carefully on the blank parchment. Her hand moved swiftly and quickly across the paper as letters formed to words which then formed sentence after sentence.Dear Marie
It has been a while since we talked. And I understand why, I mean it’s not easy to keep in touch when you live so far away. Or perhaps the distance isn’t really the issue, but rather the needed method of staying in touch.
I hope you are doing well back in Hounslow. This summer I might have the opportunity to come over for a bit, and we can hang out in your dad's garage and order pizza again, like we used to do every weekend. I’m looking forward to hanging out with you and Emma.
Have you checked in on dad lately? Is he still huddled up inside or does he get out every now and then?, I’m sure he’d really appreciate it if you guys could stop by every now and then for some tea or something. If you have the time of course.
Well, summer isn’t far away, and I’m looking forward to seeing you again.
- River

Rose Moon had come into the library so that she could curl up with a book when she saw the letter station. She thought about sending a letter to her older siblings, but she didn't know if they would get embarrassed in front of their friends or if they would appreciate that. She wasn't really sure who to send a letter to. Then she got an idea. Her friend, Ivy might appreciate a letter. Plus, Rose was way better at telling people things by writing them down rather than saying them out loud. Rose went and sat down, starting to write.
Yes, that would do. She folded up the letter and put it in the place for the finished letters, walking away from the table with a smile. In the end, she did curl up with a book in the library.Ivy Bellamy,
Hey! I saw this "Love Note Leavers" thing and thought maybe I could write to you.
I wanted to write to you to say this: thank you for being my friend. We started off on the wrong foot (which was mostly my fault) but you were still very kind to me after the blowup and that potions class was really fun. I'm glad to have someone that I can call my friend here.
If you ever want to do something else together, I would be totally willing!
Thanks a bunch!

It had been a long time since May had seen her dear friend, @Ivy Bellamy. The two of them were like sisters, knew each other at seven, and now, they are both at Hogwarts, in different houses.
May decided to write a letter to her friend, and it went like this,
Dear Ivy,
How long since we saw each other, right? I feel like it's been AGES, and, after all, we were very at home. I'm sorry to hear that we were chosen into different houses, and, I really hope that we can see each other sometime.
Most important of all, how are you? I hope you're ok.
Me? Well, there's been a few big and dangerous events in the past few weeks. The common room was set on fire, thank God nobody was hurt.
My mother and father still don't talk to me (I know, I've just sent them a letter!) so I'm here, still trying to contact my sister along the way.
Oh, right! Your sister! How is she? Have you been talking to her?
I hope you still do. I remember the day we met, when your sister was gone.
Well, happy #SendALetterDay!
-May
Ok, that was quite good.
When May finished, May went to the owlery and sent her letters to her friends and family.

Callie had entered the library with full intentions of getting to work on some transfiguration homework but had found herself quickly side-tracked by the writing section. After all the subject had proven to be extremely complicated and Callie often struggled to wrap her head around it, meaning that such distractions like these were something she indulged in when faced with transfiguration homework.
Upon arrival Callie gave a short and sweet wave to Nora before taking up residence on the nearest seat. It wasn’t long before Callie armed herself with a quill and stared blankly at the parchment before her. Sure, the promise of chocolate frogs was an exciting one but thinking of who to even write letters to in the first place was a challenge. However, Callie was quickly hit with a pang of guilt upon the realisation she’d entirely forgotten to write to her parents. Thus far her promises to remember to write back to her family to assure them she was still alive had fallen on deaf ears and Callie suddenly found a new determination to make good on that promise. So with an idea in mind Callie got to work in penning her letter home, sticking her tongue out slightly in concentration.

After finishing the letter, a wide grin of pride slipped onto her face, satisfied with her own work. She was about to get up and leave the library to press on with other matters but quickly stopped herself as the thought to write more letters crossed her mind. So the girl folded the letter carefully and placed it to the side and started considering her second victim.Hi Mum and Dad!
Please don’t be mad I haven’t written anything to you until now.... but everything has been so exciting! Although it is send a letter day today and apparently I get some chocolate frogs for writing this…so really it’s a win-win! You find out I’m very much alive despite forgetting to write home and I get chocolate.
Hogwarts is like something out of those super weird shows that dad watches but 10x bigger and a million times grander. I ended up getting sorted into Ravenclaw, which is the one full of nerdy smart people I was telling you about. Everyone here is so cool too! Even if some of my classes can be a bit confusing. I managed to get an O on a Herbology assignment though, so I must be doing something right. I haven’t broken my glasses completely yet either! Although I have had to tape them back together a few times…
As utterly amazing and fantastic as this place is, I still miss adventuring through the forests back home. How’s the squirrel doing? I hope you remembered to leave him some acorns like I asked you to. I hope the farm is doing well too, if I remember right the dairy expansion should be done now! I bet the cows are going to love that.
See you soon, I love you!
Callie (Your favourite child)

No matter what Adrian tells you it wasn’t me who left that fish under his pillow. He’s a liar, a cheat and a general stink. I’m innocent of all charges, promise. I put that itching powder in his wardrobe though, that’s entirely on me. My bad!
