It was finally the summer break, with the Hogwarts Express being overwhelmed by the sheer number of students waiting to get home. As soon as the shiny metal train pulled up, students started to chatter with excitement; the roll of luggage wheels and the tapping of footsteps against the concrete floor started to overwhelm the sound of excited chatter as students started to load themselves onto their respective carriages.

On this day, Dinara was one of these excited students. She hadn't left the school on the earliest train back as she had stayed back to clean up the Hufflepuff dorms a little -- part of the newfound responsibilities that she took upon herself. With some effort, she hoisted her little trunk onto the train, opting to find an empty cabin to herself. It wasn't everyday that Dinara liked to be alone, but she liked to have cabins to herself on trains for the freedom to do all the silly things she liked in order to pass time. A personal cabin was indeed a luxury that most wouldn't have the chance to enjoy.

However, the issue that came with an empty cabin was that Dinara's little dwarf arms could barely reach the height of the upper compartment to stash her trunk. A flash of deja vu briefly overcame her as she remembered her first train ride into Hogwarts, where something all-too-similar had happened and a kind Ravenclaw boy (that she never ever saw around ever again) had helped her out with her little predicament.

Still, Dinara supposed, she didn't really have to worry too much about being considerate and keeping her trunk properly now that she had a whole cabin to herself. All this space just for one tiny Hufflepuff -- Absolutely perfect.

Dinara was really living the high life, quite literally sitting in the lap of luxury as she stared at the windows. Fogging it up with her breath, Dinara started to doodle on the windows as much as possible. Funny, she seemed to be more interested in felines nowadays. For some reason, cats and the like seemed to be popping up more and more in her life. Perhaps it was her subconscious thinking of a certain cat-like person, though Dinara wouldn't entertain that stream of thought if it even dared to enter the realm of her conscious thoughts.

Ever since their little encounter in the Abandoned Toilets, Dinara had specifically gone out of her way to avoid the male. Even in potentially shared classes between the two houses, Dinara made use of her short stature to hide amongst the crowd of Hufflepuffs, blending in quite well and very much out of sight from the awkwardly tall boy. She'd even ducked into a broom closet once while spotting him from the far end of a corridor, waiting for the crowd of students to pass before she re-emerged once more.

At least now, on her way back to home sweet home, she could forgo all worries and any thoughts of the difficult matter until the school term reopens once more. To be quite frank, none of the issues even stemmed from the boy himself. It was simply Dinara being unwilling and afraid to face these new, foreign thoughts and feelings that she had been suppressing.

And she did succeed in her attempts to hide from her. Remy prided himself on being a fairly observant person, even if he wasn't necessarily the smartest one of them all. There was not much use for his observantness though, as he lacked the ability to reflect before acting. There was no use in just eyeing one's surroundings if you could not draw better conclusions afterward.

His lack of properly using his skill persisted as he walked through the corridors of the train. They were not as full as in the first time that he had boarded this train. He remembered the day well. He had been attempting to socialize with a Gryffindor girl who, in the end, had rejected his advances for friendship. He did see her a couple of times after their little interaction, she had attempted to ignore him each and every time. He wouldn't blame her, he could come off as a bit too excited to meet someone new. In that sense, he was more puppy-like. Always so easily excitable.

Alas, when he found an 'empty' compartment for himself, he was overjoyed. Usually, he'd be devastated. Who would he blabber to now? But today, he would appreciate himself some place to think properly. He was going to see his family again after a long time. No amount of letters would ever fill in the dent that only seeing one another in person. How should he act? What should he talk about? Unlike around his friends, he needed to be very careful about what he said, where and when. Consequences followed if he didn't dance around subjects properly.

Yes, it was around this time that he realized that maybe he wasn't as observant as he was. Maybe it was just about how lithe he was, giving him an advantage. He had learned how to tiptoe throughout his whole life. Dinara Lucey was so terribly small, pressed into that window that his peripheral vision had betrayed him. Remy threw his things up with ease. Being taller than the little gnome before him had its advantages attached to it too. He had often amused himself with the idea of some distant ancestor being a giant. The boy threw himself to the seat, throwing his head back too as he let out a groan indicating how elated he was to be in here right now.

That was until he looked up, actually look properly up a bit further than his own nose, he realized that he was not alone in here at all. It was the last person he had wanted to be stuck with for several hours. Not that he had harbored some ill feelings towards her after their little theatre performance in the abandoned toilets. Quite the opposite instead. He had discovered that he had no idea how to act around her and the sheer embarrassment often kept him tossing and turning at night. This was proven by the way that Remy scurried in his place for a split second before sinking down in the seat again, staring at her.

"Oh. Fancy meeting you here, doll," he decided to pretend that he wasn't panicked and the nonchalance of his voice surprised even Remy himself. He had forced multiple nicknames on her, ranging from slightly provoking 'Missy' and 'Doll' to the more meaner ones. Granted, he had used 'Missy' and 'Doll' on many occasions but spiced it up with his irksome tone to show his annoyance towards her. Now? Those feelings were left back in the castle, he was as flustered as ever in her presence.

"Can I, err, sit here?" he eventually managed to ask, scratching the side of his neck as his eyes bounced from every corner in this compartment, avoiding her eyes like the plague.

Dinara was very much lost in her own doodles, enjoying the process quite immensely. The sliding sound of the cabin door caused her let out a huge sigh, and the rather peeved student was just about to turn around to yell at whoever dared to encroach upon the Queen's personal space... That is, until she caught an ever too familiar silhouette from the reflection of the glass window.

If she had been of age to curse, there would have been no doubt that Dinara would have let out a string of silent expletives. Thankfully, the girl resorted to letting out a small, barely audible 'hooh' as she struggled to devise means to cope with the boy's utter presence. Should she attempt to sneak past him, grab her luggage, and run out of the carriage? Pretend that she didn't notice him? Assume the persona of someone else and pretend that Dinara Lucey wasn't her?

The genius answer that the girl came up with, possibly on intellect levels just as high as if not higher than that of her rat catching plan was to combine all of the aforementioned plans. She really did wonder where she got all these crazy smart ideas from, sometimes. Einstein was likely a great ancestor or something, or so Dinara would like to believe.

As soon as Remy had attempted to make contact with Dinara, she whipped her head around, almost too unnaturally quickly.

"Yes, well... I don't suppose we've met?" She looked at him, trying to pull a face of delicate femininity. Of course, that failed absolutely miserably, with her simply looking like she was trying too hard to stretch her features out. Her voice was raised to a pitch several times higher than her usual one, and she attempted to speak with all the haughtiness of a posh, rich girl who carried around her poodles in tiny, gem-stone encrusted handbags.

"You are indeed welcome to sit here. I will be, taking my leave." she cocked her head awkwardly, trying to mimic some form of a mean girl from a movie that she'd watched. Struggling to grab her trunk, she dragged it along the floor, attempting to make a quick exit from the carriage. "Too-dah-loo! Hope you find the, uh, doll you're looking for!"

Remy had never been this confused in his life. He had to blink a few times and rub his eyes with his fists to make sure that he wasn't hallucinating or hearing things that were not there. This was surely Dinara Lucey sitting in front of him. She could act as clueless and feminine as she wanted, it almost even tricked the dull-minded Remy Alto. However, some things people could not just hide.

Her...act made him stare at her like a bag of dumb rocks. He wasn't sure if to laugh, cry, or be worried about her sanity. After a good couple seconds of just throwing daggers at the girl, he gave her a loud chuckle that evolved into a fit of giggles. "Just how hard did you hit your head while trying to get out of the abandoned toilets?" he was close to wiping tears of joy away as he couldn't stop laughing. Well, until he did, suddenly so. Now he understood why she had been away for so long. She must have been avoiding him like he had tried to avoid her after their awkward little encounter. Honestly, Remy didn't think that it was that bad. Frankly, he had done many embarrassing things and none of them came even close to that scandal. He didn't want to avoid her any longer.

She didn't relent and kept up the ridiculously poor act, resorting to trying to run away from him. Was he that bad of a companion? When she attempted to drag her trunk away from the carriage with herself, Remy hastily sprung up into action without thinking much about the consequences whatsoever. He walked a few steps over to the girl and positioned himself before the door, blocking her exit with his body. "Hey, Dinara! That's so unfair! I'm not going to spend the whole time back alone, am I?" he huffed loudly and shook his head, face clearly dismayed. He wanted this awkwardness of theirs to evaporate into the air. He wanted to be able to play around her and be his goofy self whilst getting the same back.

She hadn't expected Remy to be able to see through her stellar disguise, and it sure was reflected quite blatantly on her face. Nevermind that he even had the nerve to laugh at her, what was she to do about her failed attempt to escape?

Perhaps it was time that Dinara actually face her fears. Looking up at him with a stoic expression, she shook her head solemnly, opting to put her trunk by her side in an attempt to emphasise the seriousness of the whole situation. "I'll have you know I didn't hit my head at all, Mr Remy. I was simply..." her eyes darted wildly, her tiny bean brain attempting to work out an excuse for her less than graceful exit from the Abandoned Toilets. "Uh, trying out a new method of maneuvering... Obstacle courses. Yeah, that's it.

She smiled cheekily, her eyes lighting up as she inwardly pat herself on her back for coming up with such a believable explanation for her odd behaviour. Dinara figured it was probably time she just got over herself, Remy shouldn't have to suffer the bulk of consequences simply because the poor girl was confused about something or another. Standing on her tip toes, she lightly pinched his nose before pointing at the luggage.

"Fine, I won't make you suffer the rattling train carriage by yourself. In return, help me get this," she gestured at the luggage."Up to the storage compartments." Reaching up, she pointed up to the large compartment that sat overhead. Dinara figured that as long as they were returning to the dynamic they had before, she'd try her best to act like how she'd usually act, too.

Shuffling rather awkwardly back to her seat, she fiddled uncertainly with her fingers, uncertain of what to talk about with the boy now. Somehow, conversation used to flow so much easier -- Dinara never knew that what the boy thought of her was so important to her. It was funny, really, considering that Dinara typically only really cared about the opinions of people that were of higher positions than her. She thrived on impressing people in positions of perceived authority, which was also why the girl tended to be a 'Teacher's Pet' -- Dinara absolutely loved getting into her teachers' good books.

At this moment, one would briefly wonder if Dinara perceived the boy as someone who was at all superior. It wouldn't likely be so, but she didn't dwell for too long on why she so desperately wanted him to think highly of her. It just felt somewhat weird for the typically loud girl to be so conscious about what comes out of her mouth.

Twiddling her thumbs, she stared at a seemingly empty spot on the ground. "So, uh, where are you headed to?" the words came out before she could even think, and she smacked her palm on her forehead so much so that it produced an audible sound. What kind of a stupid question was that? "I mean, as in, I know you're going home! Of course, who wouldn't?" Dinara chuckled nervously in an attempt to disperse what felt like a suffocating embarrassment that clouded the carriage. Well, for her at least. "I meant to ask what you're gunna be doing this summer."

A little sigh of relief was heaved after the disaster that was Dinara's attempt to strike up a conversation. Oddly enough, the trees that were visible outside the carriage now seemed alot more interested than staring into the boy's dark, piercing eyes and feeling odd. The girl determinedly kept her eyes glued on the trees -- at least the trees were calming!

Sliding the door to close it, Remy could not believe how surprised she looked. Did she seriously think that he would fall for something stupid like she had done? He might not have been the sharpest tool in the shed but he surely wasn't that dull. Did she think of him as that dull? He wasn't sure if he should be amused or insulted. Maybe he was looking too far into this. Crossing his arms over his chest, he puffed his cheeks, clearly unhappy that she had tried to run away from the very center of the world, Remy Alto.

"You should probably stop doing that. I liked it way better when you just maneuvered yourself through all obstacles normally. Not that my opinion matters," he quickly added in the end, still sounding quite concerned as he swallowed her odd lie. He was worried if anything, she had been acting strangely and he disliked it. The boy just wished that they could go back to the time where everything felt easier around her. Now there was an air of uneasiness around the both of them.

Thankfully, she seemed to snap out of it too and pinch his nose. For some reason, she always liked to do these little pain-inducing gestures towards him, be it a slap, pinch or a nudge. He didn't seem to mind though, just whined something up and smiled. He followed her finger to the storage compartment and then back to the girl, looking up and down. Right, she was...vertically challenged so to speak. Remy just grinned, although he did wonder why she wouldn't just use a spell for it, but decided not to speak any further as he put the trunk up with relative ease.
"Yes ma'am," he squealed in a jokingly manner, taking orders from the tiny girl. He was just glad that he didn't have to be alone for the next few hours.

He sat across her too, following her gaze once again. What was she looking at, the trees outside? He leaned forward to look at those trees too, chuckling as he asked for his destination whilst already knowing the answer that she would get from the mouth of this boy. He mimicked what he saw her doing earlier, fogging the window up with his breath. Instead of felines, he decided to draw a few hearts, stars, and flowers on the window. How very original of him.

"I haven't thought about it. I don't like thinking ahead. I'd prefer to just go with what my guts tell me to do then," Remy wasn't lying, even if his sentences sounded quite dramatic. He was a bad planner since his mood and interests changed so often. Eventually, he leaned back in his seat and drew his attention back to the girl. Throughout the year that he had been seeing her, she didn't seem to change too much, nor did he. "Although you did promise to go to the menagerie with me if I didn't die. I held my own side of the promise," he said with a smile, briefly mentioning in a subtle way that he did want to see her in the summer. "Did you have something specific that you're going to do?" Remy inquired, wondering what girls like her could possibly do. Practice skipping rocks so she could beat him again?

Image posted by the memberShe had quirked her brow when Remy mentioned that his opinion didn't matter. The girl may have been trying to hide from him, but the straightforward nature that she was ever so famous for had never changed. Whipping her head to look at the pouting boy, she pulled a face of her own as well. "Why wouldn't your opinion matter?" At that, she turned her attention back to the trees.

Dinara wasn't exactly someone who liked to cause others pain at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. Had she known that Remy actually felt pain from her actions, she'd likely have jumped back and apologised almost immediately. It was just her own little way of showing affection to her friends and potentially frenemies; the little Hufflepuff would never dream of causing harm to another on purpose.

The male's compliance with her order surprised her slightly -- no snarky remark, nothing. The girl figured she had better not question her good fortune, after all, she still had a whole train ride back to share with the quick-witted boy.

In the following distance, Dinara was very much glad that she didn't even attempt to ask Remy about his lack-of-snark for the day. His little chuckle was nearly enough to prompt Dinara to borrow some moves from an ostrich and just bury her head in the ground. How embarrassing! She watched as the boy doodled seemingly random stuff on the fogged glass, and she wondered briefly about her choice of doodle-subject. What was it about felines, really? In the corner, Dunkin, who had previously been hiding in camouflage with the white curtains, glared at Remy rather suspiciously with his piercing amber eyes. Marching over to Dinara, he let out a rather shrill squeal before settling on the empty space beside her, his eyes still trained on Remy.

To hear that he had not planned any activities in anticipation of the long-awaited summer break was almost a cardinal sin to Dinara. Drawing her body back in shock, her jaw dropped as she mouthed questions wordlessly. How could he just, not be super excited about summer?! Before she could open her mouth to rebut his point, Remy raised up yet another promise that Dinara had very nearly forgot about. Gaping wordlessly at his unexpectedly good memory, she shrugged.

"Well, you didn't die so I suppose I will be heading to the menagerie with you," she struggled from keeping the small smile from reaching her face. Why did she even feel the need to grin like a stupid idiot? "I mean, I have loads of plans with my family and on my own back at my place. It'd be difficult for us to meet, right?" Dinara tilted her head as she considered possibilities.

She'd intended to go on many picnics with her family, play some pranks on that stupid girl that her brother calls his girlfriend, spend some time honing her cross-stitching... There were way too many things that Dinara had been looking forward to be doing during the summer -- she was even afraid that there might be too little time to do everything that she had planned!

He answered her questioning face with a mirrored one. What was she trying to imply? Did his opinion matter to her? Remy still saw her as a sort-of-frenemy, even if it was, err, complicated. He didn't know what to call her. He enjoyed his time around her and would have liked to spend as much time as possible with her but also felt competition between them and the need to prove himself to her all the time. Not really sure what to answer, he pondered on it for a while.

"After all, you probably don't view me as someone close enough for my input to matter," he stated. Woah, that was fairly eloquent from someone like Remy Alto. He was carefully asking around for her to define what he should call her. Were they close enough to be friends? Or did she still harbor some kind of sense of rivalry? He glued his eyes back to the trees that she was watching too, drawing things on the window. He wasn't much of an artist when it came to this but it worked as some type of entertainment.

Just as he was about to spend the rest of the travels quiet and moping, he heard a loud screech that made him slowly turn his head around only to land on an owl. A white, beautiful owl that made him gasp aloud. He didn't pay attention to the fact that she won the race in who got a pet first but instead marveled around the owl. The owl did not seem impressed, at all. Remy was careful not to harass it any longer and sat back firmly to his seat. He did struggle trying not to extend his hand to pet it. As much as he loved Sharon and her fellow specimen, owls were awfully beautiful creatures too.

"I see you've already visited that place. If you don't want to, no one's forcing you to go," he said, adding a tense laugh in the end. She didn't sound too excited and he suddenly did not want to be a bother to her. "I'm sure your family misses you a lot," he pointed out with a laugh that was real this time. She did have her own charm to her, he couldn't blame her family for missing her if they did. He would maybe miss her a bit in the summer...maybe just a teensy-tiny bit. Remy wasn't that sure about his own family. There were so many of them, no one would hardly notice his departure.

His attention geared back to the third creature in this compartment. "What'd'ya name him? Her?" He nodded his head towards the owl and then tilted his head to change the somehow depressing topic. Well, Remy was the only one making it depressing in his head, something that was not common from a boy like him.

Remy's statement stung. To put it simply, it almost felt as if a little bee stinger had found it's way into her chest. Did he not think that they were close? Dinara had completely missed the ulterior motive that the cunning boy had harboured in trying to discern what exactly were they -- even if she had picked up on his motives, she'd probably be unable to give him a proper answer, too.

Sulking, she crossed her arms. The dark brows that sat atop her bright eyes furrowed in mild annoyance, and her lips pouted out in a frown. "I might have thought of you as someone close, maybe even important," the emphasis on the word 'might' had been a completely intentional effort to drum up suspense in the boy, though it was more than likely that he'd be able to see through what she was attempting. "But since you apparently don't regard me as a close friend I guess your opinion shouldn't matter to me, either! A childish outburst, to be sure, but one that (to Dinara) was entirely justified. She felt somewhat silly to have thought that the Slytherin would've viewed her as a close friend -- of course he wouldn't have! She was just some... Annoying rival or another.

Wiggling herself further back into the seat, Dinara raised her legs and allowed her feet to dangle above the ground, kicking her legs out rather furiously as if that would get rid of the weird tornado of feelings that were currently welling up within her.

Sadness. Anger. Shame. Confusion. These were the ingredients needed to create a small Hufflepuff girl throwing a tantrum.

Beside Dinara, the very evidently well-fed owl continued to keep an eye on the boy that seemed to marvel at the mere sight of it. Had he not seen an owl before? They were abundant in Hogwarts, afterall. Dunkin proved to be a stark contrast in terms of size to Dinara, he was quite literally almost half her size when they both stood; and with Dinara seated and slumped over he looked almost as big as her.

The owl continued to eye the boy with somewhat of a snobbish expression, though it's fluffed up feathers indicated that it was slowly getting more relaxed. Sure, the bird may be incredibly protective of it's owner, but it sure warmed up to people rather quickly.

Remy's seeming rejection of having Dinara follow him to the menagerie caused her to spring up from her seat, her hands planted firmly on her hips. "WHAT?! You mean you don't want me to be there? the hurt was evident in her eyes, and her voice likely resounded out towards the neighbouring cabins, confusing whichever poor students who were hoping for a peaceful train ride home. Dinara's outburst also startled the otherwise peaceful owl, and it hooted out loud as well, bobbing it's head in mild surprise. "As in, I've been there but... I thought you'd want me there to pick a rat with you."

Dinara hadn't much considered any possible connotations from her words, she simply stated whatever she felt in an incredibly to-the-point and matter of fact way. She nodded curtly at his next statement, resisting the urge to say something spiteful in reply. Her insecurity and jealousy were very much a big part of Dinara's flaws, and she could've easily spouted something like 'unlike somebody that wouldn't' in an attempt to spite the boy.

Struggling to force herself to rise above it, she choked out a reply. "I'm sure your family does, too." Letting out a small sigh before seating herself back beside the owl, Dinara let her hand fall into the comforting density of feathers. There was no tension in the room, to be sure, but the girl couldn't help but feel slightly foolish for wanting to hang around the boy all the time like somewhat of a foolish puppy and impress him with her prowess in different things. All this while, he likely just wanted to be rid of her!

"Yeah, his name is Dunkin." The coldness in her voice was entirely too obvious, something that was way out of character for the girl. Suddenly, the heated flames of passion seemed to kindle back to life as her eyes fired up with newfound intensity. It wasn't like her to skirt around topics and overthink things alone! Her frustration wasn't derived off Remy at all, it was towards how ridiculous she had been behaving the past couple of weeks.

She stared him squarely in the eyes."Okay, look. I very much think you're a fun friend to be around, but you don't have to hang around me if you don't want to. If I'm not cool enough for you, that's fine, but I'd rather you just tell it to me straight." She bit her lip, unsure if she should mention all the other weird emotions she had been feeling. Would she even be able to put it into comprehensible words? Eventually deciding against it, she sighed. A wave of sadness washed over her at the thought of not having Remy around to hang out with, but she quickly suppressed those feelings. It was more important that things were clear, and that Dinara was honest to herself. "You can be honest, because I'm not the kind of person that really appreciates fluffy lies."

Her fists were clenched in nervousness, her body trembling slightly. She absolutely meant everything she had said, and a part of her genuinely believed in the possibility that she wasn't "cool enough" to roll with the Slytherin. However, this was undoubtedly one of the hardest truths that Dinara had to force herself to face -- she had never had an issue with blunt honesty before, and she wouldn't let herself run from it now.

To be fair, Remy could have worded whatever he had tried to convey to her ten times better. It was unusual for him to tip-toe and dance around topics when he was talking to the rather honest Hufflepuff. He wasn't a stranger to dropping a few white lies here and there but never felt the need to do anything akin to that nature when it was Dinara that they were talking about. Still, he was somehow surprised by the way that she reacted. He had thought, by the way that she had behaved around him for the past weeks, that she had come to understand that he wasn't a very good friend to be around. Maybe she was avoiding him because she didn't want him to tail her all the time like he had?

He did feel a bit warmer in his heart when she admitted into thinking of him as someone 'maybe even important'. Remy felt like they had had a lot of misunderstandings between each other for the past weeks because of their lack of communication. The boy decided to wait for her to end her rant before telling her what he had meant and felt. For the time being, he just observed her and her body language. She really looked like a toy soldier instead of some big force to reckon with. Nonetheless, he wanted to take her seriously despite the small stature of hers.

The things she hurled at him did hurt a lot but he still kept quiet. A part of him was curious to hear what she had to say about him, the good, the bad, the ugly too. A part of him wanted to stop the words from flowing already. It wasn't the words that were necessarily upsetting him, it was the way that she spoke and moved, her tone was what sent a feeling of ache throughout his body. Remy had long stopped doodling on the window and now sat his back against the seat and head thrown back. Still, his eyes lazily pierced her when she threw that tantrum of hers. It was hard not to smile since she did look a bit cute, kind of like a puppy one more time.

He had expected for her to go crazy at him at some point. She was no puppy, after all, she was a wild lioness that would not appreciate the way that he had behaved either. The cool voice she used with him was surprising and Remy didn't really know how to react. He was used to her shouting and yelling, not throwing passive jabs at him and crossing her arms as an attempt to close him off. That was more of his style, he had figured that it hurt more than screaming at someone. It sounded malicious, but whenever he did that kind of a thing, his intent was to hurt. Seeing her mirror something vaguely familiar was an odd feeling.

It didn't last for long, she resumed her passionate outlook on everything and even Remy felt a lot more comfortable now. The straightforward Dinara was back and he never knew that he would grow to appreciate it. The boy did try to hide his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt but if you looked closely, his eyes were a telltale sign that the thing he was hiding was a smile tugging on his lips. Did she see him as a cool person? It felt nice when she implied something like that (or that was what Remy would have liked to believe).

He finally decided to be upright with her and straightened his back accordingly, leaning forward to solidify what he was going to say. "I think that we've both misinterpreted each other's words," he started with a sheepish tone at first, careful with the choice of his words to not stir the pot further. Deciding that it was no good, he cleared his throat and lowered his arm, neatly folding it on his lap.

"You're a good friend. I think of you as someone close, maybe even important," he borrowed the words that she uttered to him earlier. His eyes might have retained their cheeky glimmer, but he was dead serious. With a stolen glance, he observed how she was trembling, her curls bouncing lightly. Remy lowered his gaze again to his hands, noticing how he was fumbling with his fingers subconsciously too.

"I really really like you, so please don't think of yourself as lame or anything. That's not what friends do, right?" he tilted his head to the side, shaking his head lightly and furrowing his brows as if he was talking to his fingers.
