The Start of Something New
"Ugh!" With much trouble, Kateryna finally succeeded in dragging her huge suitcase up the few steps from the platform onto the Hogwarts Express. She sighed heavily and wiped off imaginary sweat from her forehead, using the back of her right hand. For a moment, she stopped to inspect the cloud-like scar in her left palm. As always the scar hurt, when she strained it too much, so she rubbed it softly, easing the pain, as her eyes started wandering around, taking the appearance of the old locomotive in.
The corridor was already flooded with students - or students-to-be! - as Kateryna took the handle of the suitcase in a tight grip and began dragging it down the corridor. She passed several compartments, all of them nearly full, in search for a place to sit during the ride. How long would it even be, before they arrived to Hogsmeade Train Station? Kateryna didn't have the slightest idea. Yes, maybe she was a half-blood witch, but her parents had told her very little of the journey, she was about to begin.
"Ah! This will do!" It was exhaustion rather than finding a suitable compartment, that made Kateryna decide. Someone was already in this compartment. A blonde girl. She didn't look much older than Kateryna, which was the fact, that made her man up and address her.
"Hey there! Do you mind?" Kateryna flashed the girl a smile and gestured towards the seat opposite from the her, but didn't wait for an answer, before she entered the compartment, dragging the suitcase along.
