Date: August 31stCar hopping wasn't a foreign concept to Adlai, she just never imagined herself to be one of its participants. Her eyes darted in between the sitting arrangements as she looked for a specific someone and meandered her way down the aisle on light feet. It was times like these were she was grateful that Hogwarts hadn't enacted an assigned seat policy on the school sanctioned train.
She was nervous, she had never done this before. She had never... come out. When it came down to her family knowing about Adlai's unique circumstance her aunt Margret had handled that and of course her family loved her all the same, however of course they did worry. The same went for her friends Elena and Flash, although her aunt Margret didn't tell them nor did Adlai. They simply figured it out on their own.
She didn't know why she wanted to do this, she didn't know why she wanted to find him now at all times and tell him. They were barely friends but he had taken her to the Midspring Celebration and they had started to become close... she didn't want him to feel lied to, even though she kept telling herself it wouldn't be a lie if she never told him anything at all. Nonetheless, she felt he owed it to him. She felt that Henry Knight deserved to know that she, Adlai Rod, was indeed a parselmouth.

The train ride home. Except, the teen wasn't going home. He had written to his elder brother a few days ago, he would be staying with him that summer instead of with his father and stepfamily.
The teen avoided Rose, unable to face her that ride. For he knew he wouldn't be with her that summer, abandoning her to their conjoined family while he stayed, hid out with his elder brother.
The teen had a urge to find a other compartment with his friends. Perhaps Logan or Avery or maybe Elsian, perhaps another one of his friends. The teen walked the train, his mind growing tired from the thoughts. Deciding to claim an empty on, it wasn't ideal but he could use some quiet.
Lifting, placing his trunk in the overhead. Backpack neatly placed on the ground besides his feet, Loki stretched out on the seat across from him. The teen eyed the window, mind dancing over his friends. One in particular, Adlai Rod, he grew rather close with her the last few months. Even taking her to the ball, course he couldn't do much with her that night as a host of the dance himself.
However, the girl made her way into his circle of friends. Into his mind... heart. The teen thought of her, he trusted her and could feel parts of himself caring for her. Perhaps.... perhaps it would be ideal to tell her. Tell her of his fury secret.
The teen shallowed. Thoughts danced in his mind, what if she reacted in another way... what if she wanted nothing to do with him... what if she avoided him... forgot of him... could he risk that? Losing her? She was a friend, one he cared for, that he couldn't imagine losing. Risking everything over his fury secret. The teen told others before, Logan and Rose then had some figured it out. Amara. However, this... this moment felt different. Telling Adlai. That felr much harder than the others.

Date: August 31stAfter peaking awkwardly into the windows of other students compartments, Adlai was finally able to spot him. Knocking gently on the compartment door Adlai slowly opened it, her hands beginning to shake as she did. "Henry! I'm glad I found you! I thought I wouldn't be able to catch you before we all parted ways for the summer." She said.
Speaking of summer, she had no idea what Henry's address was so she didn't know where to send any letters if they agreed to write to one another. She also didn't know what his phone number or email address was if he had one. Thus, in the back of her mind she decided if things seemed to go over well after she told him about her particular talents she'd ask if they could keep in touch over the summer. Maybe even ask if they might be able to have some fun together if they were in the same area.
"There's actually something I wanted to talk to you about, if you're ok with that? If you're not then it's fine I know you must be tired from all the packing and moving luggage around and having to find a compartment... I'm sorry for barging in actually... should I go?"
