Before the blue haired girl could answer Jorah's question, Wren perked up and retold a story of herself back in second grade. Apparently she grew impatient of standing in line at school and preferred to crawl around on the ground like an animal. This behavior was not too abnormal for a 7 year old, but Jorah wondered if Wren still retained that impulsivity from her earlier years. Jorah turned his attention to the girl who was trying to look like a rock star. What kind of parents would let their child go to school looking like that? The blue haired girl introduced herself as Lilith Hayes and asked if they were excited about going to Hogwarts.
"Yes, I am!," Jorah began. "Actually, I was born in Scotland, not too far from Hogwarts, but I've never seen it. It's been a while since I've been back up north. I miss the Highland games and watching my favorite Quidditch team, the Pride of Portree. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get to try-out for Quidditch at Hogwarts. So, what are your favorite Quidditch teams?," Jorah asked the girls in the train cabin. He could hear the squeaking of wheels as the trolley witch made her way done the aisle. Jorah fished through his pocket for a few sickles and knuts while he waited for the girls to answer his question. The trolley witch would be here soon and he wanted to order a chocolate frog when she eventually arrived.Interacting with: @Wren Caster @Lilith Hayes @Piper Moriarty

Wren had decided that she needed to take a break from talking and give everyone else a chance. She heard Jorah mention something about trying out for the quidditch team and thought that it might be a pretty cool thing to do. Even though she wanted to stop talking she wanted to say one thing more.
"Hey Jorah? I really thing being on the Quidditch team would be pretty cool! And to answer your question Lilith, (the girl had introduced herself as which Wren personally thought was a really pretty name)I am also a first year; and am super exited to start at Hogwarts! I actually just found out about it this past month, like the day of my eleventh birthday. My parents are both muggles so, y-yea I-i'm not really familiar with the wizarding community
Wren had suddenly gotten very shy. She did not really enjoy mentioning that both of her parents were muggles because she had heard that some witches and wizards did not accept that.
Anyways, I'm getting off rambling again sorry. By the end of this train ride y'all's tuning out skills with have gotten a lot better!
Wren laughed. She thought that maybe she just needed to go to sleep and let the others carry on a conversation without her because she just could not. shut. up. She hated that, she really did. Hopefully the train ride would be over bbyt he time she woke up and she would come out with three new friends because of it!

Jorah seemed really excited about Quidditch. His entire demeanor changed once he started talking about his favourite team. Lilith was never into sports so she was not particularly attached to any team. To her, Quidditch could be summed up in one line: Witches and wizards on brooms flying around chasing balls. Not particularly interesting.
"I don't really watch Quidditch, so I don't have a favourite team," said Lilith. "But that would be cool if you could join one of the teams, especially in first year. Maybe I'll come and watch a game if you get on the team."
When Wren mentioned that she was muggle-born, Lilith could hear the sudden loss of animation in her voice. Despite the changes in the wizarding community over the last decade, some magical folk were still not willing to get over this blood-line obsession. Lilith did not care whether or not anyone was muggle-born.
"It's okay that you are muggle-born," Lilith said with a little extra enthusiasm. "There are probably lots of people who are like you. Must be strange living in a world without magic. I heard that your photographs and paintings don't move at all. They sound pretty boring to look at. And that you use metal boxes to move around. It must take a long time to get anywhere compared to floo powder or portkeys."
Out of the corner of her eye she saw Jorah take money out of his pocket.
"Ooo, what are you going to buy?"

Tag: @Wren Caster @Lilith Hayes @Piper MoriartyWren agreed that it would be cool to join the Quidditch team. That didn't surprise Jorah very much, Quidditch was after all, the best game in the world. Who wouldn't want to be a part of that? Then Wren said something that did catch Jorah by surprise, she was muggle born. Not only that, but she didn't know anything about the wizarding world a month ago! No wonder she was so talkative! It all made sense now. Going to Hogwarts for the first time was exciting for any wizard born child, but Jorah couldn't imagine what it would be like for someone like Wren, especially someone who until recently didn't even know magic existed! "Wow, that's so cool, Wren! You must have tons of questions! My parents didn't go to Hogwarts, but they are both wizards, so I might be able to explain some stuff for you since I grew up with it."
Lilith spoke up, telling Jorah she didn't have a favorite team, but she agreed with Wren that it would be cool if he joined the team, adding that she would come and watch him play. "It's ok if you don't have a favorite team yet, Lilith," Jorah reassured her. "We have so many great teams in Britain and Ireland alone! Lets see..." Jorah began listing the teams, counting them off on his fingers. "There's my favorite team, the Pride of Portree, named after the town of Portree on the Isle of Skye in Northwest Scotland. You can take the boy out of the Highlands, but you can't take the Highlands out of the boy, ha. The other Scottish teams are the Montrose Magpies, they're pretty good, not gonna lie, and the Wigtown Wanderers. The English teams are the Appleby Arrows, the Chudley Cannons, Puddlemere United, the Wimbourne Wasps, and the Falmouth Falcons. Funny story, the Falcons were playing the Prides once, but they had a problem. The Department of Magical Sports and Games cast an Invisilbilty Charm on the stadium, but then no one could find the dang thing, hahahaha! Anyway, depending on who you talk to, the Tutshill Tornados could be considered an English or a Welsh team. The other Welsh teams include the Caerphilly Catapults and the Holyhead Harpies. North Ireland has the Ballycastle Bats and the Republic of Ireland has the Kenmare Kestrels. That's all 13 of the British and Irish Quidditch League teams, but there's obviously other teams belonging to different leagues." Jorah took a breathe. "Sorry, that was alot. If you couldn't tell, I like Quidditch. You guys should definitely come watch me play if I make it on the team. I'm just glad you guys aren't like some Nutters who think that Quidditch is just a bunch of witches and wizards on brooms flying around chasing balls because it's so much more than that!"
The squeaking from the trolley witch's cart was growing louder, she was almost here. "Ooo, what are you going to buy?," Lilith asked Jorah. He took out a Sickle. "I'm going to buy a chocolate frog. I'm collecting the cards, hopefully I get a new one." The trolley witch parked her cart of confectionaries in front of their train cabin. Wren had closed her eyes to sleep, but Jorah shook her awake. "Wren, she's here!" Jorah slid open the cabin's door. "Anything from the trolley dears?," she asked pleasantly. "Yes ma'am, one chocolate frog, please?," replied Jorah. "Of course, young man. That'll be 20 Knuts." Jorah handed her a Sickle, in return she handed him a chocolate frog package and 9 Knuts. "Thank you." "You're welcome." The trolley witch turned to the other members of the cabin.
Jorah returned to his seat and ripped open the purple and gold box. The chocolate frog inside twitched to life and was ready to jump up and out to freedom when Jorah said, "Oh, no you don't!" He slammed the box shut, flipping it upside down, the frog was now on its back. He opened the box again, but only just enough to slip out the chocolate frog card and closed the box until the magic that was now animating the frog wore off. The maneuver he had just preformed was a trick his Dad taught him. Nobody wants their chocolate jumping around all over the dirty floor. Jorah examined the card. It was the familiar face of an angry old man shouting, Jorah already had this card. He turned it over, reading the description on the back. Ethelred the Ever-Ready, Famous for taking offence at nothing and cursing innocent bystanders. Died in Gaol. A little disappointed, Jorah put the card away. He turned to the others. "What did you guys get?"

Wren was shook awake by Jorah claiming the Trolley lady was here. Replying to her earlier comment, that she was muggle born Jorah said:
"Wow, that's so cool, Wren! You must have tons of questions! My parents didn't go to Hogwarts, but they are both wizards, so I might be able to explain some stuff for you since I grew up with it."
"Omigosh Jorah! Thank you so much! i would be so honored if you did that!"
After that Jorah started going on about Quidditch. Wren didn't think it was possible to talk more than her, until Jorah started going on about Quidditch. You could sure tell by the way he talked about it, and how much he knew about it, that he loved it. He mentioned something about a team named Pride of Portree, and said that it was his favorite team. Then he went on and starting naming a bunch of different teams, and Wren kind of got confused. When Jorah finally stopped talking she said:
"Wow, ok, Jorah, I see that you know a whole lot about Quidditch and that's awesome, but you kinda lost me when you started naming teams. Oh, and, I now know how it feels to listen to me talk! I'm mean that in a non-offensive joking way." She added afraid that Jorah would be offended by her comment.
"Ok, can I ask you something about the wizarding world outside of school? Do you all use magic at home for everything? Some things? Maybe like cleaning or making food or something like that? I think it would be fascinating to just have food appear before you with a wave of a wand!"
Wren laughed.
Then Jorah asked what they got in their chocolate frogs.
"Um, I think it says I got someone named Albus Dum-" she squinted trying to figure out a way to pronounce it "Dumbledore? Who is he?"

Jorah continued to talk enthusiastically about Quidditch. Although Lilith was not that interested in Quidditch itself, his excitement was palpable. She would have to be careful not to let me him know that she was not that interested. She had the feeling that he would be rather upset if he discovered her indifference to the sport. She smiled and nodded as he listed out the different teams.
To answer Jorah's question, Lilith looked at collectible card in her Chocolate Frog box. It had a picture of a plump witch with orange hair.
"Oh, I got Perpetua Fancourt. It says here that she invented the Lunascope."
Lilith stiffened slightly at his comment. She hoped they could still be friends. As Jorah got up to the trolley witch to buy a chocolate frog, Lilith decided that she would purchase one too. She took some money out of her pocket and exchanged it for a frog. When she opened the package, the frog tried to jump but she was able to grab it before it got too far. Once the enchantment of the frog had faded, Lilith snapped a leg off the frog and put in her mouth. The sweet taste of chocolate filled her mouth as she listened to Wren.I'm just glad you guys aren't like some Nutters who think that Quidditch is just a bunch of witches and wizards on brooms flying around chasing balls because it's so much more than that!"
"I'm not sure what you mean by everything but there are definitely cleaning spells and spells to help you cook. I used to be punished by having to do the dishes without magic though, even when they can be done with a flick of the wand. I don't think you can make food appear though because I have definitely had to go to the shops with my family to buy ingredients."Ok, can I ask you something about the wizarding world outside of school? Do you all use magic at home for everything? Some things? Maybe like cleaning or making food or something like that? "Wren, Albus Dumbledore is pretty famous! It used to be the headmaster of Hogwarts. He fought against You Know Who, the most powerful evil wizard that every existed, and was a mentor for Harry Potter. Surely you know who that is?" Lilith replied.Um, I think it says I got someone named Albus Dum- Dumbledore? Who is he?"

Jorah lost Wren as he rambled on and on about Quidditch. "Sorry," he replied. "Now I know how it feels to listen to me talk!," Wren said. Jorah laughed. It was true that at the start of their trip, Jorah was the reserved one and Wren was the one who couldn't stop talking. When Quidditch was brought up, that was a different story. Jorah loved Quidditch and the quiet introvert would break out of his shell any chance the game was brought up.
"Do you all use magic at home for everything? Some things?," Wren asked. "We used magic at home when we we lived in Scotland, but since moving to Brighton we try not to use it that much. There's just too many muggles around. If we get caught using magic, we'll be in big trouble." Lilith mentioned how her parents would make her clean without using magic as a form of punish. Her parents sounded like interesting people.
When the trolley witch came, each of the girls bought a chocolate frog and looked at their card. Lilith had Perputa Fancourt, the inventor of the Lunascope. She was a common card, one that Jorah had already. Wren had someone special, Albus Dumbledore. He was a rare card, one that Jorah was still looking for. "Hang on to that one, Wren. That's not an easy one to find." The train would be pulling into the station soon. Jorah didn't sleep much last night and wanted to get some shut eye before they arrived. "Hey guys, I'm gonna take a nap, please wake me when we get there." Jorah covered his yes with his hood and rested his head against the window.
