Katrina walked briskly in search of a girl that went by the name of Jo Morgan. She had four of five letters left to deliver. The one on top read: to Jo Morgan, in fancy calligraphy and red ink. It was the class change between fifth and sixth period and Katrina had a few minutes to spare. The girl should be in the same class as her so it wouldn't be hard.

"Jo, Jo!" Katrina called out, sweeping the crowds of people. A little candy cane twiddled through her fingers as she messed with it.

The letter incased in the envelope read:

Dear Jo,

Merry Christmas. I know we only met on the train, but I had a fun time. Hopefully we can become friends! Have a happy holidays.

Katrina

It was one of her shortest letters, but also one of her most meaningful. Katrina smiled imagining the faces of each person as they opened their gifts. It had been refreshing to see the smiles of joy, it made her yearn to have a friend again to do that too most often. Katrina almost gave up hope but then she saw the twiddle of a bronze cape.

"Jo! There you are!" she called out loud enough to be heard over the noise of restless students.

Transfiguration would be nothing special. Maybe she'd sit next to Jack Burnett. Maybe she'd start an argument with him, just out of boredom. Ironically, for all of the Slytherin's "moral ambiguity" tirades, the boy was rather easy to rile up, and the best kind of debates were the meaningless ones. For now, she just had to get to class. That wasn't easy - she had to push through a sea of swarming students, most of whom were much larger than her. Still, she pulled her cloak ever tighter around her legs as she wove in and out of pairs and clumps of students, darting through the freezing stone corridors. This was the better aspects of a lack of friends - she didn't have to worry about getting separated from anybody or sticking with her possy. It was just solitary little Jo and her lioness robes, flashing through the hallway like a golden Snitch. Could you catch her? Yes, apparently.
"Jo! There you are!"
Jo jumped up, startled that somebody had called her name. It wasn't something that happened often - perhaps an Acid Pop girl. She spun around on her heels, coming face to face with a fellow Gryffindor.
Surprisingly, the girl that had called out to her wasn't an Acid Pop member, but she vaguely remembered the redhead's face. A streak of green hair now adorned her face. That was new, she supposed. She should have remembered such a striking strait. Suddenly, a word came to her. Not a hurricane. The name of a girl, a Gryffindor girl. Second Year.

"Katrina?" She asked, surprised at herself for even remembering the name. The smell of candy, a loud, boisterous group of boys in the next-door compartment. Katrina. She was the girl she had met in the train, while going home for the holidays.

"Hey! Long time no see." She shouted to the pale girl, following the streak of green as it appeared and disappeared, lost and found again in the sea of students.

"Out here, the wild ones are taming the fear within me.
Scared to call them my friends and be broken again; Is this hope just a mystical dream?"

Katrina heard a voice behind her and saw the person she had searched for there. Katrina greeted her with a smile. They had only met once, but Katrina thought she was a really nice girl. They had quite a bit in common.

"Good to see you again!" Katrina grinned and waved a little, "I have something for you," she thrusted the letter and candy cane at her. Even after delivering so many letters, her awkward self had returned when she was giving letters.

She opened her mouth to say more when she was interrupted with a loud 'gong'. Class would start in one minute. She had never been late to class before. Katrina shifted from foot to foot and fiddled with her fingers. She waiting for Jo to finish talking and tried to stay focused on what she was saying.

"Anyway, Merry Christmas," she took a breath before nudging her head at the bell that had just rung, "And, I better get to class. I have a little while down the hall to get to class before it started."

Katrina left with a happy grin. She took a quick seat at her desk just as class begun. Hopes of friendship kept her attention the rest of the day.
