Does your character take a flier?
Lamik Fillestar took a deep breath. Here he was, standing in the middle of a crowded hallway with a stack of parchment in his hand. There were about 150 of them in total, each written by hand neatly. On them, the following could be read.

Hey! You look like a cool person. Lamik Fillestar (the person who handed you this) is organizing a student protest during the summer break. It would be wonderful if you came to a preparation meeting to discuss it! Here's when the currently scheduled meeting happens, and a bit more information that you may want:

Day: This Thursday

Time: The break right after the first two classes

Place: The hill besides the stables

Who's invited: Anyone, including professors!

Subject: The unfair laws regarding the fact that muggle parents can't see what their children are learning first hand.

I hope you'll be there!

Holding the papers in an easier to reach position, Lamik picked the top one off of of the pile and offered it to the nearest student. "Hi! Are you interested in coming to a meeting?"

And that's what he stood during the entire break. Some kids took a flier, some didn't, and some told him to shut up. Lamik didn't care though. This was a subject that was important to him, and he wasn't going to let some mean spirited boys be of any discouragement.

Hey! While this technically is a normal RPG, its main intended purpose is for single post character reactions, as in what the character does when they pass Lamik handing out his fliers. You can still stop to chat with him, of course, though I would prefer if you keep the chat short since he would be busy handing stuff out. It's your choice though. Have fun!

Saskia walked down the corridors, sighing in exasperation as she tried to get past the crowds of people. This was starting to be a daily thing, and it was getting on her nerves. Seriously, could these people move faster? It was like they wanted to clog up the hallways. It didn't help that her next class, which was Transfiguration, was all the way up on the fifth floor. So now, not only was she about to head to her least favourite class through those annoying stairs, but she also had to go through the waves of people to get there. Great.

Rolling her eyes, she continued onward, occasionally pushing past the slower people. It was a tedious process, and she wasn't sure she was getting anywhere with this. It was only after a while that she heard a voice nearby.

"Hi! Are you interested in coming to a meeting?"

Saskia sighed to herself. As much as she wanted to ignore whoever it was, it seemed that they were talking to her. Still, she was already running late, since some people decided it was a good idea to take their time wandering about as if they had nothing else to do. She turned to whoever spoke to her, contemplating on snapping at them for delaying her when she suddenly stopped. It was Lamik, who seemed to be handing out some fliers. What was he doing here? And what was up with the fliers? Still, there wasn't much time to ask questions, as curious as she was. She could always ask later, anyway.

Taking the parchment, she skimmed through the contents, frowning to herself. A protest? That wasn't what she was expecting at all. And apparently, it was about the laws regarding Muggle parents. It wasn't exactly something that related to her, but she could slightly understand why people would want to bring it up. There were plenty of Muggle-borns in this school, and she imagined they would want their parents to know what they were doing at school to let them know they were okay, and not, say, dissolving in acid from a potion gone wrong. She wasn't entirely sure if this protest would be successful, given the laws around that were strict, but she didn't want to completely shut the idea down. Maybe she could join in this protest if she was available for the summer break, or if she had nothing to do.

The girl shrugged to herself and put the flier in her bag. "Sure. I'll think about it," she finally said, glancing at Lamik before she walked away, rushing to get to her next class.

It had been a while after the incident in the Bathrooms, and life had since settled into its normal pace. Maybe, Isaac admitted to himself, even a happier pace. His steps were lighter and his face altogether cheerier as he whistled, spring in his step. Sure, it was the morning, and sure, he'd be trapped in History of Magic again, but that didn't matter.

Life was looking up. He'd made a friend.

Leaping by, it was then he noticed a flash of yellow in the corner of his eye. In fact, a familiar hue of blonde. Backtracking in his steps and jostling through the crowd, he saw a face that wasn't exactly welcome to his eyes.

Pale smooth skin, verging on sickly, sapphire bright eyes, and a mane of blonde hair. It could only be the blonde kid from before. What was his name? Fillestar.

Fillestar was clearly nervous from the way he took heavy breaths inwards. In his hands, he clasped a pile of papers precariously stacked. Donning a bright smile, he called out,
"Hi! Are you interested in coming to a meeting?"
The papers flew like birds into the hands of students. Some were clearly interested, others somewhat hesitant, and yet others displeased. The quiet sound of tearing filled his ears, as a particularly scornful student whispered a curse under their breath, and something about mudbloods.

Intrigued despite his natural wariness of the boy, Isaac plucked a flier from his hands without comment. Fillestar was apparently trying to organize a protest to let Muggle parents see what their kids were doing in school.

At once, he both loved the idea and feared it.

What if his mother knew the truth about magic? Would she think him a freak, or be proud of his progress? What if her fights with his father grew worse because of it? He and his father had lied to her, month after month after month. Scottish boarding school was the simple excuse his Dad always used for his absence, making no mention of wizardry.

It couldn't hurt. The option lay right there, now a possibility for the future. And he couldn't lie to himself, he wanted to feel his mother's happiness and admiration, and finally be done with the lies that had surrounded their family.

With that decision made, Isaac folded the flier into a triangle and stuffed it into his pocket. He'd be there, protesting. Maybe Fillestar had a heart beneath all of his snark.

Darting away, he continued on his path towards History of Magic, too caught up in thinking to even remember that he'd forgotten to do his homework again.

Landon’s day of classes had finally ended and he felt himself weighed down by the multiple books in his messenger back, which he slung across his chest, the canvas material slapping against his upper thigh every time he took a step down the corridor. The usual chatter that resonated the halls seemed to have quieted and the expression of pure exhaustion on the students’ faces told why. As of late, classes seemed to have felt drawn out as a new round of exams were fast approaching. Even Landon felt the pressure and found himself losing more and more sleep every night and bringing food to his dormitory while he studied.

Through the eerily quiet hallway, there was a booming voice farther down and Landon’s interest peaked. As he got closer and closer to the source, he was able to make out what the boy was saying – “Hi! Are you interested in coming to a meeting?”

Another student-organized protest, Landon surmised as he spotted flyers being given out. Deciding to give himself a mental break from the endless rules and procedures about potions, charms, and the like – Landon took a flyer and began reading it as he walked away from the Gryffindor. He skimmed over the first part, taking note of the organizer’s name, and went right down to the subject of the meeting.

Landon didn’t realize he had raised his eyebrows as he read the about that fact that muggle parents were restricted from knowing what their child was learning in class. It had never actually occurred to Landon that there was a such a rule in place considering his parents avoided the topic altogether. Not because they didn’t accept it but I assumed they didn’t know how to bridge that conversation with their wizard-son.

Deciding to attend the meeting, Landon reviewed the date, time, and location of the gathering and made a mental note of it. Pocketing the flyer, he continued on his way back to his Slytherin dormitory. All the while, he thought about the fact that there were actual kids who cared about the topic. He wondered if he had parents who took an interest if he’d care as much too. Either way, he’d show support. Being muggle-born was the minority in the school and they had to stick together, regardless of what house they represented.

Shelby was rushing through the hallway as calmly as possible, if that even made sense. She needed to get to her professor as soon as possible and too many students were crowding the halls. Actually it surprised Shelby. What was going on? The chattering was louder than usual and barely anyone moved when she nudged and pushed.

Trying to look over everyone's head with all the height she could manage, Shelby noticed some boy crying, or was he yelling? Most likely yelling, because who cries waving a flyer in their hand?

Shelby frowned and pushed her way towards. Surprisingly it was easy going towards the source than away. Seconds later she had a front row seat in front of the boy.

He handed her a piece of paper and quickly went back to what he was doing, merely giving her a glance. He was so engrossed in what he was doing and it sparked interest in Shelby, meaning she actually gave the flyer a glance.

It showed information about some sort of meeting going on, something about class and muggle parents. Her head shot up and she stared at this Lamik Fillestar. He had the same problem as her! Her parents only knew so much about where she was, they didn't even know what she was learning at the school. It had bothered her before but she had always pushed it off, figuring it wasn't that big of a deal.

But something began to stir now. It was as if all of the things that she had tried to suppress, the anger, the worry, the stress, it all just bubbled up inside her.

Eyebrows furrowed, Shelby glared around, watching the students go by, the ones who chose to ignore this. She didn't frown, though. She grinned. This was exciting and she couldn't wait to go to the meeting. She was going to do something, her parents didn't deserve to live in the dark because of wizards, wizards who were just afraid and wanted to keep everything secret. Nearly everything her parents knew about her these days were lies, like how she transferred to some prestige British school for gifted students, how the accident wasn't her fault, which is most definitely. She was tired of it.

Shelby made her way through the crowd, carefully folding the flyer, making a note to leave as soon as first break began on Thursday. Lamik had one more supporter, without a doubt.
