@Michael Glenanne
Today had been, by all means of the word, a good day. Primrose had woken up in time, seemingly in a better mood than usual as she went along with her day; no tripping, no falling and more than all no Hospital Wing. That only made the young Hufflepuff on edge, because that meant something else would happen if she knew her luck well enough- the nervous smile she sent people making that as clear as could be. The letter only proved as much, Primrose adored her family. They stuck together and despite everything going on did their best to support each other, even if that meant dealing with a less than ideal dynamic but they could be overbearing, secretive and by all means too much even for her.
'I'll make sure to inform both your mother and Louis to not bring this up to you again in the future.' She had frowned at the line, frustration building up inside her as she tried to understand her fathers thought process behind it all. Even he had to understand that she had the right to know why a person she once considered close family and a person to lean on, wasn't even allowed to be mentioned anymore.
Being the curious soul she was, she decided to seek out her cousin, Louis. Which when she looked back at it was her first mistake. Louis didn't like talking about family, if anything he found it an awful process and he wanted nothing to do when it came to talking about the Crane family and she couldn't blame him- they had an awful reputation that made some people avoid the Edwards like the plague because of it. That's how this awful argument began, the heated discussion they were trying to keep into smaller whispers but failing terribly at.
''I deserve to know just as much as you, Louis!'' Primrose was glaring her cousin down, or up if you will, pure anger in her words.
''It's not my place to tell you Primrose, you need to grow up and realize you can't be involved in everything and you can't solve everything either'' The older Gryffindor seemed restless, Charms book in his hand as he looked around. ''We shouldn't have this conversation here to begin with!''
''Louis Thomas Edwards, I've helped you! I've told you everything dad has told me about your situation and you won't even help me out here'' That was her second mistake of the day, bringing up Louis home-life to prove her point. The boy glared at her, eager to finish this already 15 minute argument on the spot.
''Primrose, be real bloody careful about what you say. That is different and you know that. I'm going to leave now and I damn well hope you will let this topic die'' With that her cousin practically bolted from the scene, Primrose following for a bit trying to pressure him into saying anything at all that could help. Instead she stopped, throwing her hands in the air out of frustration and turned around.
That was her third mistake of the day, the Gryffindor boy she came face to face with leaving an uneasy feeling in her stomach.
''How..much of that did you hear?'' She nervously asked, hands clenched into fists as she did her best to not look like an absolutely panicking wreck.

The arguing voices were to be heard, even from around the corner and down the corridor. Michael knew this because that was precisely where he stood. Hovering awkwardly between the tall stone walls. He felt like he was intruding somehow. A feeling he had been slowly growing used to. His step faltering in a way he had never experienced before. First, as he followed a mother and fellow student through a wall at the train station- a ridiculous method of transportation. How many people had accidentally run into the wrong wall? Then again, when his name was called to echo throughout the great hall. The ones to precede his so fantastical. 'Michael is a good classic name,' His father had once said, but it brought little comfort within the halls of Hogwarts.
Squaring his shoulders, a hint of determination in his eyes, Michael took a step forward. One, two, until he had turned the corner and resumed his path towards the dorms. He wasn't some busybody, he could mind his own business... sometimes.
This would be no such occasion. He froze when the girl turned to face him, clearly distressed despite her efforts to appear otherwise.
"Not a lot." He said easily, voice mingled with accent and concern alike. He narrowed his eyes to her uniform, recognising her house and catching a last-minute look of the other boys as he walked swiftly away.
"You two were pretty, uh, loud. Hard to miss." Michael shrugged, focus returning to her. "Primrose, right? What was that all about?" The argument had seemed pretty heated, and as much as Michael tried, he couldn't help his curiosity. "Are you alright?" The question came easily, as one spoken many times before.

"Not a lot." She felt some solace in those words, but it was most likely still too much.@Michael Glenanne
"Primrose, right? What was that all about?" A hard question to answer, and an ever tougher one followed. ''Are you alright?"
She couldn't blame him for being curious, Primrose would have been a lot more pushy to know the truth about the situation in his shoes. Despite this it was clear on her face she was a bit taken aback by the blatant curiosity and the ease of his words.
''I'm..okay, I guess?'' She was unsure honestly, it felt as if her entire head was in turmoil. ''And yes, Primrose Edwards- uh. My cousin is keeping information about a relative of mine away from me- and it's just, annoying. Nothing major'' She waved off the entire fight as if it was nothing, but in reality it was quite different. To Primrose this meant a lot but she wouldn't tell any stranger and their mother that, that's for sure. Her dad had a reputation bad enough as it was.
''Sorry, if we disrupted you. Louis and I sort of forget how loud our voices are and especially..inside a huge magical castle'' She laughed, rubbing the back of her neck. Awkward..
''Oh- Sorry, what is your name? I think I've seen you in passing but...'' Primrose was good at remembering faces, surprisingly good actually. She knew who most first years were simply from the sorting ceremony alone, not their names but their faces of course. She would never forget a face- unless she was tired or somehow stressed in that situation. That for sure would make her forget any face she ever saw.
''You're a Gryffindor so it must've been during Potions or ..Astronomy? I think?'' She pondered, looking the boy up and down. She didn't recognize him from any of the more famous wizard families, no clear resemblance to anyone she might recognize by the mere mention of their name.

"Probably potions," He nodded in confirmation to his own words, memories of the girl's blonde curls coming to mind. But there had been so many new faces of late, that Michael could scarecely keep track.@Primrose Edwards
"It's fine." He waved away her apologies, absently wondering just who this Louis was. He thought he might recall the boy from the common room. "Family's great but we can't let them get a big head about it." He quipped, knowing well he'd gotten into plenty of far noisier rows with his own family. His younger brother, Rhys, wasn't often angered but when someone did manage to get under his skin Michael would swear the earth would shake at his brothers approach. The kid was terrifying.
"Oh, right," His attention snapped back into focus as he realised she had asked for his name. A simple request, one he really should have responded to sooner. He'd never been great with conversation, too likely to speak his mind or go off track. "Michael, Michael Glenanne." He reached his hand towards her in greeting, smiling softly. "I hope things turn out alright with your cousin. Don't worry, I'm sure he's just as fierce as the other Gryffindors, and just as loyal, he'll get over it."

''Glennane?'' Nope, that was not a wizarding family she knew of. Then again, Primrose literally forgot about the Weasley's once so you never know.@Michael Glenanne
''Pleasure to meet you Michael, properly!'' She beamed, overly-positive was her only personality trait at times. Just happy to exist.
"I hope things turn out alright with your cousin. Don't worry, I'm sure he's just as fierce as the other Gryffindors, and just as loyal, he'll get over it."
She looked where her cousin had walked off with a frown, shrugging.
''He can be angry for a surprisingly long time, I wouldn't blame him. I uh- compared to wildly different scenarios for my benefit, I probably hurt his feelings quite a bit.'' Regret was starting to form inside her, a sad sigh escaping her as she stared off for a bit.
''Well- that is for another day'' Primrose cleared her throat, smiling at the boy ahead of her- as if she hadn't just had a bit of an emotional crisis.
''So, Michael- what does your parents do?'' She had to know, because it was always fun with Muggle-borns. They had a different aspect of how magic was, they saw it for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. She remembered walking into the Great Hall, a muggle-born girl whispering in joy to her friend about how she had never seen anything like this- it was beautiful to see someone react so strongly to something Primrose quite honestly wasn't too surprised over. She had heard stories from everyone in her family, as well as her cousin Louis. Muggle-born witches and wizards saw things in a very special and different way, she was quite jealous actually.
