Brynlee was rushing. She had stayed after class to ask the teacher a few questions, and now she was very close to being late to her next one. She heard the bell ring and she gasped, speeding up her pace in order to get to her classroom faster, so she wasn’t as late. “Cmon, cmon, cmon, go faster…!” she told herself, her legs going as fast as they could. She weaved in between the crowds of people, shouting for them to get out of her way, until she crashed, head-on, into another student.

Due to her momentum, Brynlee fell back, right onto her butt. She groaned and looked up, seeing a girl. “Oh, I am sorry! I should’ve been looking where I was going.” She stood up and wiped off her robes before looking back at the girl. “Hey, you look… Kinda familiar…”

She thought for a moment, then gasped. Yes! The hair, the eyes, everything lined up. “Is your sister or something… oh, what’s her name… Faith or something?” Her eyes narrowed into a soft glare. Before Damien graduated, he had a girlfriend. A Ravenclaw, who Broke. His. Heart. Brynlee remembered Day sitting on his bed, broken. Brynlee hated that girl with a burning passion, even though she only met her twice, when Day brought her home for dinner. Damien was sure he was going to marry her...

The corridors were almost always stuffed to the brim with students, especially in between classes. Harmony had just walked out of History of Magic, determined to make her way toward her next class, when suddenly, a blonde-haired Slytherin girl crashed head-first into her, causing the both of them to fall over.

“Oh, I am sorry! I should’ve been looking where I was going.”

"Oh, no worries! I'm fine!" She giggled, knowing that this was all just one big accident. Harmony was very short, thus extremely difficult to see in a crowd like this, so she figured that someone was going to run into her at some point. She got up, smoothing out her robes and picking up her bag that had fallen with her onto the floor. She would have offered her hand to help the other girl up, but she was already standing, which was perfectly fine with Harmony. She had a class to get to, after all.

As Harmony was about to leave, she noticed that the Slytherin girl was eyeing her rather intensely. Um...do we know each other from somewhere or something? Why is she looking at me like that?

“Hey, you look… Kinda familiar…Is your sister or something… oh, what’s her name… Faith or something?”

What? Faith? I don't have a sister named...oh! She smiled, oblivious to the true reason as to why the girl was asking such a question. "Aye, no, not Faith. I 'ave an older sister named Hope, though! Why do you ask?" Did the girl somehow know her sister?

Brynlee watched as the girl stood up and dusted herself off. She crossed her arms over her chest and began to tap her foot against the ground. “Oh, yes, Hope. Well, I’ll tell you something, she sure didn’t live up to her name.” She huffed and rolled her eyes. “You’re sister was a Ravenclaw, yes?” This was the last bit of information Brynlee needed to know before she decided whether or not this girl was going to be her friend, or enemy.

When Brynlee first met Hope, she loved her. She was everything she had dreamed she was, from Damien’s stories. She was beautiful, kind, smart, athletic… (she had played Quidditch, just like Damien, and was rather good, from what he said). She was the perfect girl. Until she wasn’t.

Brynlee’s breath began to quicken as she got angrier and angrier at the memories. Damien was so heartbroken that he wouldn’t leave his room for days, weeks even. Brynlee wasn’t sure he was ever going to come out. It was a miracle he did, but Lily must’ve said something to him that made him feel better, and now he’s as happy as can be, but Brynlee still wants Hope to go through what Damien did, what Brynlee went through. Watching someone they love break a little more every passing day. Brynlee normally isn’t this… Cruel, but no one hurts her brother without consequences.
