Searching Pt.1 completed PV Virgil Lee

Adlai had wondered about the school for the last few days hoping to find @Virgil Lee. Ever since their study session with Issac, she couldn’t get him out of her head. She needed to speak with him as soon as possible.

However, she didn’t want to owl him thinking that it wouldn’t get her point across properly and didn’t want to speak with him about it during class because she didn’t want to disturb his hard work.

Her face would turn a tint of red whenever she though of the boys who she had become well acquainted with. Especially when it came to Virgil. But it wasn’t out of any sort of attraction, it was out of empathy.
Virgin and Fishing Rod...what terrible nicknames she thought. Yes, her whole dilemma was over harmless nicknames Issac had begun to call the both of them.

She just had to get him back but refused to leave Virgil out. She felt he’d want to scheme with her.
Adlai obviously knew that Virgil was a Slytherin and thus tried to find her way through the maze of stairs and halls hoping to come upon the Slytherin common room so that she may ask if he was there and if he was willing to speak with her.

[quote]In need of his alone time, trying to leave unnoticed, Virgil Lee slithers out of the Slytherin common room, around four on that Saturday evening. He's still wearing his dark robes, unlike all of his housemates inside.

The dungeons look darker than ever before, and if he wasn't used to it by now, Virgil would be a little creeped out. The place is cold, dark and intimidating — he still remembers the first time he went there, following the other first years, looking around, heart beating so fast inside his chest. Now that he thinks about it, it certainly looks like a villain's hideout, which doesn't help the Slytherin's reputation of always being considered the bad guy.

One thing that isn't normal to find in the depths of the dungeons, is the Hufflepuff walking all by herself, looking around, who Virgil quickly recognizes as Adlai Rod, his Potion partner he'd met a few days ago. He frowns at the sight of her, wondering the reason she'd be all alone in the Slytherin dungeons. Maybe she's looking for Isaac, he thinks to himself, silently hoping she's looking for him instead.

He likes Adlai. As in, she's nice and he feels rather comfortable when talking to her, and he never got the chance to speak to her again after their study session. Virgil didn't want to disturb her in class, and he never thought of a reason good enough for him to owl her — he'd sound really pathetic if he simply wrote: "Oh, I want to talk to you again so we can be proper friends!". Yeah, no. Virge would never embarrass himself like that.

Watching her for a few seconds, he gathers some courage to walk up to her. Once he's close enough, Virgil tapes her in the shoulder and hides his hands behind his back, cheeks burning, as he says, "H-Hi, Adlai... W-What are you doing here?"

Feeling a tap on her shoulder Adlai squealed as she swiftly spun around. Seeing it was Virgil she let out a sigh of relief. “You scared me.” She said with awkward laughter. Virgil’s cheeks burned read as he asked,
H-Hi, Adlai... W-What are you doing here?

Adlai smiled widely. “Well I was looking for you, but it seems you found me. If you don’t mind I need to talk to you about something.” She said slyly as she looked around before grabbing Virgil’s hand before he had a chance to reply.

Not many would guess how devious Adlai could be due to her innocent and naïve mannerisms. However, ever since she had entered grade school she’d scheme and plot silly harmless pranks against her friends and family. Her favorite one was when she had tapped plastic wrap to the door and called her father who ran right into it, the plastic wrap squishing his face.

She also hid small items inside her hijab. Such as candy, toys, and occasional notes that she would pass around for her friends at home. Though that may seems strange to some people it worked perfectly for her. Suddenly she stopped in front of the abandoned bathrooms. “In here.” She whispered to Virgil before walking inside.

I’ll start the thread in the Abandoned bathroom after you post, if that’s ok with you? 😊

Perfectly fine by me! :D

Even though his brain yells at him to free himself from her grip and ask the Hufflepuff what she wants, Virgil lets himself be pulled to wherever Adlai's going, as the question surrounds his mind in desperate, confused screams: where are we going?! Merlin, where are we going?!

They suddenly stop, and the Slytherin's soul almost leaves his body when he realizes they're in front of the abandoned toilets. From the outside, it already looks intimidated enough, and he just can't take a step back because Adlai's still holding his hand, firmly. Virgil freezes, heart threatening to escape his chest, his insides twisting, worrying about what might happen once they get there.

I'm going to die in here! What is she thinking...? He gives Adlai a desperate look, pleading for them to go back to somewhere else, somewhere safer. Of course, he's scared! Exploring the abandoned toiled has never been on his 'things to do at Hogwarts' list because everything inside is unknown and he could possibly get hurt, being clumsy and all.

Virgil hates this — everything about this situation! He despises the fear growing in his stomach; the blood rushing through his ears, the adrenaline pumping, the exact feeling to when he's flying, and the way his paranoia doesn't let him rest. He wants to run back to the Slytherin common room because he's too much of a chicken to whatever it is Adlai wants to do in that place.

"In here..." She whispers to him, and yeah— I want to die, he thinks, unable to stop the girl as she steps inside.

He looks around, shaking from his head to his toes. "A-Adlai..." Virgil whispers, taking a step towards the toilets, looking around, scared something will pop out of the walls and attack him. That's it! I'm gonna die! Then, the Headmaster will have to send Mum a letter announcing my death! 'Miss Blair Armitage, we're sad to inform you that Virgil Lee, your precious son, died after following one student to the abandoned toilets.'

The stupid thought would make him laugh if he wasn't completely terrified. "Adlai, what are we doing here?" His voice is so weak, that it's pathetic. Virgil finally steps in, and looks around, hugging himself. "C-Can't we, p-please, go somewhere else...?"
