I hurried down the stairs anxious to get to class on time, I knew I was most likely already running late and I wasn't sure if I was in the right hallway. And I wasn't paying much attention to what was going on around me because I was too lost in thought. I had done completly awful in charms class last period not a single spell we had practiced had worked for me so I was in a very sour mood. I muttered the spell under my breath and tried to think about what I had done wrong wth it but I still had no idea. So I wasn't paying any attention to how the stairs seemed to shift under as I ran. And he whole flift of steps had begun shifting to my right. I had completly forgotten they could even do that. It caught me completly off guard my eyes went wide when I realized I was near the end of the stairs lifted off the ground. I was thrown completly off balance and ended up clumsily triping over my own feet I feel down a couple feet before hitting the floor hard when the steps had finally settled back into the ground. I glared at the stair case thinking how much I wanted to curse the crazy person who had designed thoughs awful things bu when the intital shock wore off. I tried to stand up and nearly scremed.

My left leg ached horribly. I glanced down at myself and relized I must have fallen on it at a weird angle and as I ried to move it I realized it was most likley broken. I tried to stand again bu the pain was awful and I didn't want to force myself to do any longer then I had to so I collasped back on the ground. I glanced down the hallway hoping to see a classroom full of people but every classroom in the hall seemed empty. I guessed the nurse could fix this up pretty quickly but I still needed some help getting their not sure what else to do I shout, "Help! Hey, is anyone here? Anybody."

Their was no replie and I slumped down in deafeat then I heard te sound of footsteps and I turned.

Skipping class; yes, this was a fine way to spend her time rather than wasting away in Charms class. Lana walked quietly through the halls, and if stopped by a professor she'd be prepared to present one of her many overused excuses that would most likely earn her a detention like every other time she tried weaseling out of situations like such.

The corridors were quiet during classes, her footsteps tapping faintly against the tiled floor of the castle. She turned the corner sharply, her eyes making their way to the staircase that appeared to be moving again. She noticed a figure stepping onto one of the staircases, causing Lana to duck her head low in case it was a prefect patrolling. Though afterwards came a yelp, causing Lana to glide slowly over to the girl who had fallen.

She glanced at her face, stricken with agony from the pain in her leg. Lana sneered as she approached her, not making any effort to help the girl up. She knew this girl from somewhere, though she couldn't exactly place her finger on it. Though, what she did know, was this girl was a muggle born, and helping her didn't seem too endearing to Lana.

Instead she leaned against one of the stone columns near the staircase and snickered. "Leave it to muggle-borns who can't even understand the simplest of things such as enchanted staircases.."

I turned at the noise and saw a girl walking down the stairs she could obviously see me but she made no action to speed up she didn't even aknowledge me. I glared at her annoyed. There ws no way she couldn't tell my leg was hurt.

In as slowly and lesiurly as she could she leaned against the wall near me and just smirked at me for a moment making me hate her more. The older girl seemed familar but I couldn't remember from where, she was probably just someone I had see a few times around the school I thought I couldn't even think of her name.

"Leave it to muggle-borns who can't even understand the simplest of things such as enchanted staircases.."She said.

First I finched with shock. What was wrong with this girl? She thought I was an idot just because my parents weren't stuck up wizards like hers? Immediatly anger coursed through my body. And my face went red I was definatly not in the mood to help with this stupiditey.

"I'm so sorry I'm not a pureblood prick like you." I say sarcastically, "But if you haven't realized you're 'amazing' archictecture has just made me break my leg so the lest you could do is try to help me." I say bitterly.
