Easter break this year is from March 28th to April 11th. During this time, your character can stay at the castle without classes OR return home for the entire break. Please be consistent when writing your character during these dates.

A few reminders to the playerbase.

1 - Solicitation is not something we allow, this being in private message on our Discord or in our on site private message system (owls). This includes advertising for other discords, other communities, selling products, other websites and your shops, threads or clubs on site. We do have a thread where players can seek roleplay partners on site as well as a channel in discord where you can mention threads that may be of interest.

• Do not spam this thread or the discord channel, if we see daily/weekly reposts to advertise we will remove your ability to post in these areas.
• Blind messaging/soliciting users on our discord will result in your removal from our discord; Blind messaging/soliciting users via owls will result in the loss of your ability to use our private messaging (owl) system.
• We do not offer a thread, forum area or channel for you to advertise other discords or communities.
• Do not make your own thread or use the general chat areas as places to advertise, you will again lose your ability to post in these areas if you do this.
• If you get a message from someone soliciting you to join a group, a community, purchase something, etc. Please take a screen shot and forward it to myself or another Head of House member.

2- We have an official club system. This is the only way to have a club.

3 - All information a player gains is done in character in a way that is visible for other roleplayers OC. Meaning - we do not allow you to write in a foreign language without a translation. We do not allow players to hide messages inside of broken links or using the transparent color or a very small font. That information will be retconned (meaning it never happened) the first time we discover this and will likely show the hidden information. Repeat incidents will likely result in your dismissal from the community.

4 - Professors try the best they can to grade everything by the end of the month, please remember you had a whole month to submit an assignment. Expecting them to have the last day of the month free for last minute submissions is not a realistic expectation. If you submit something the last few days of the month, there is a very good chance that the homework might not be graded. For those that want a concrete statement of how long -- within the last week there is no promises. While most try for within the last day that is not a promise, that is them giving their best effort. Subsequent statements by Professors stating promises that contradict this (ie. 24hours exactly, 12 hours, etc.) is a promise from them for their grading which they have the right to later withdraw and does not automatically pass on like a double lifetime warrantee to the next Professor that takes over their role. They can not speak for the staff as an aggregate only what their abilities are in terms of grading. We will not (and can not) retroactively add the points you earned in the next month to the previous month to make you the top 3, 10, etc. Those points are added by the system for the next month.

Plagiarism is Bad

Des problèmes de plagiat entre les fiches de Poudlard.fr et Hogwarts.io, version anglaise du site, nous ont été signalés. Si vous avez un compte sur la version française et un compte sur la version anglaise, pas de problème, vous pouvez copier votre fiche traduite d'une version à l'autre. En revanche, copier la fiche d'un autre joueur, peu importe sa version d'origine, est interdit. Des personnes ont passé du temps sur ces fiches, il est donc très irrespectueux de voler leur travail, que ce soit au niveau de la mise en forme, des illustrations ou même du texte, qui n'est parfois que la traduction de la fiche de quelqu'un d'autre !

L'administrateur de Hogwarts.io sera contacté dans la journée pour faire remonter ce problème de son côté.

En attendant, nous vous demandons de bien vouloir modifier les fiches qui ont été volées au plus vite. Si nous remarquons d'autres cas de plagiat de fiches, celles-ci seront supprimées et vous recevrez un avertissement. Pour rappel, 3 avertissements mènent à une exclusion du site.

Several people have reported multiple cases of plagiarism between Poudlard.fr and Hogwarts.io, the English version. It is ok to own an account on both sites and copy your translated character sheet from one website to another. That being said, reproducing another player’s character sheet (including the format, illustrations, or even text, which is sometimes only the translation of someone else’s character sheet!) is prohibited regardless of the original version.
People have spent countless hours on their character sheets, and it is outrageous and unacceptable for anyone to steal someone else's work and claim it as their own without giving credit to the owner.

In the meantime, we kindly ask that the stolen character sheets be edited at the earliest convenience. If we discern other cases of plagiarism, we will remove the regarding character sheets immediately and the authors will receive a warning.

Reminder : 3 warnings will get you a perma-ban from Poudlard.fr.

The administrator of Hogwarts.io will be notified throughout the day regarding this case in order to ensure that it won't happen again.

To be very clear, I have gotten the names of some of the users who have done this. I will be reaching out. There is no three incidents here, if you do it again I will be asking you to leave the community. If you have not read our rules, I strongly encourage you to do so.

We have opened up the iNPC registry for players to update and to create/apply for new iNPCs. This would include: Durmstrang, Ilvermorny, Beauxbatons and the newly released Koldovstoretz. There will be some fresh organization to keep things easier to review in coming weeks but announcements will be made regarding this. These NPCs will be able to come to Hogwarts for the ball. As for this summer there will be a match between Koldovstoretz and Hogwarts over the summer but there will be other events of interest involving the other schools as we try to keep these other schools involved to stay tuned and consider what you will want for your character.

The long-awaited Blossom Ball is here! Students are invited to the spring dance, organised by April's incredible top earners: @Aurora Ranvier, @Kazuo Shimada, @Alec Mason, @Justin Whiteley, @Kage Suzuki and @Levi Drakos.

The Blossom Ball has two main threads for you to participate in. You can spend time in the beautiful Spring Festival area, set up with floating lanterns and flowers - or you can stay in the Underworld, where you should probably watch your step and your back. Attendees also have the opportunity to take part in six different trials in order to be crowned the King and Queen of the ball, should they do desire it.

Whatever you decide to do, you must start by entering the dark underpass - also known as the Underworld [LINK].

1.) Initially entering the ball, as in the Underworld for the first time, is a free action.

2.) It takes a full round to compete in the trials. This means that after you have entered the ball and specified that you are using an action to complete the trials, you cannot post again until the following round when you return from them.
