Seers Unite!
May 22nd | 3 pmI am so incredibly sorry for the delay!
(It has almost been a whole year since I created the club, I am so sorry...)
Opeila was nervous. A few days ago she had hung out a little flyer, asking a few other students to meet her in the empty classroom on the second floor. The exact classroom she was sitting in right now. It had been a long time since the Slytherin founded the club together with a fellow Slytherin- Tyranni Whitethorn. She really wanted this to work, to become a place where seers could open up and share their experience, but then her world just shattered. Opeila hadn't been able to recover from that and she still had not, but she was now able to look forward again. More than she had been back then anyway.
Besides, the Blossom Ball was coming closer, it was only a week away and regarding how every single event in Hogwarts seemed to go down in flames, a vision or two couldn't be too bad. So she called her fellow seers together. She didn't know their faces, only their names. Orion, Nersin, Everly, Marissa, Caelan and Tyranni. Who knew who would come. Technically they had a mentor as well, Professor Kibitzer. The old woman had agreed to help them, ages ago. Opeila wasn't sure if the older seer was still interested in helping them. Well, if not, they would help themselves... somehow.
Opeila had taken two small teapots from the great hall and placed them on a table, as well as a small plate with cauldron cakes. The food was not the point of this meeting, it was simply supposed to make it all more comfortable, as Opeila was expecting uncomfortable topics. She remembered her own first vision in the middle of the abandoned bathroom, surrounded by arguing boys and a crazy girl who decided that slapping her was the best possible reaction.
The young girl sat down on the ground and waited- hoped- for the others to arrive.

It was only the middle of the week, and it seemed like it would go on forever. The year was almost over, and it was only a few more weeks, at least she hoped so. Tossing her books on her bed, she flipped her head upside down and tossed her silverish hair in a messy bun on top of her head. As of late she it seemed as it was getting lighter than darker, but she paid it no mind. Throwing on her Ravenclaw hoodie, she stuffed her hands in her pocket and made her way down to the common room.
There was a bulletin board, and she would check it every so often. Today there seemed to be a few new things on it. Something about Quidditch, a crude drawing of what looked like a raven, and then behind another newly pinned but crinkled flyer. Tugging it from the pin, she read over it. The young Ravenclaw stared at it for a moment, almost as if the ball on the flyer turned and swirled with the colors. Dropping it, ugh, she would never get used to picture moving. Picking it back up, she folded it and shoved it into her pocket. Surely by now, if anyone else were a Seer, they would be there too.
One would think that after being here nearly half a year, they would know where everything was. But the castle was like an endless maze of ever-changing halls and doors. Though honestly, it was. Finally, Ner found the room in which she thought she needed to be. Perhaps she should have changed into something more... presentable. Nersin really didn't like meeting new people, but perhaps they could help her figure out what was going on with her.
Peeking around the doorway, she looked in. Letting out a bit of a sigh of relief when she came to find only one young girl there. Nersin was one to meet people as they came, not as she came. Scooting into the room, she came to a sudden halt. Giving the other girl an awkward smile, "Hello.. I am Nersin Winthrope. I... think I am in the right place...ummm, is this for the Seer club?

Only slightly late, Professor Kibitzer marched into the meeting room - her gaze sweeping over those present, which at the moment seemed only to be two pale little girls. It was like looking into the past. One of them already had white hair - good that she wouldn't miss it. Rosalind gave a little frown as she looked at Opeila's darker locks - such a shame to lose them so early, but everyone goes gray eventually. Like always, a Seer did their suffering well in advance.
It seemed like there were only two girls here, with far too much tea for that many people. The professor walked past the halted Nersin, giving her a nod in passing.
"I am Rosalind Kibitzer, professor of Divination. I expect you two will be in my class in the coming years. It's a pleasure to meet you in advance," she said, mostly to Nersin. The other girl knew quite well who she was, she was sure.
The woman looked around for a seat, opting to stand rather than sit on the ground as Opeila had. ideally, the club would have one or two older Seers who could supervise in her absence, but for now it seemed the there weren't yet any members present that were quite old enough for her to trust with the task. "Are we expecting many?" she asked Opeila, cocking an eyebrow.

The longer the young Slytherin waited for clubmembers to arrive, the more anxious she got. Would she be alone in the end, had she been mistaken and other seers at Hogwarts were not so interested to learn from each other? Nervously Opeila walked around the classroom. What would she do if no one came? She had no idea.
Her concerns were all destroyed when the classroom door opened and a white haired girl stuck her head inside, introducing herself as Nersin and asking if this was the correct place for the seer club. "Hi! Yes, that's right", Opeila confirmed, "I'm Opeila Winters, it's nice to meet you, Nersin. I hope that the others will arrive soon, you can help yourself to tea or cauldron cakes if you like." The Slytherin pointed at the table in the room.
Only short after, Professor Kibitzer entered the room, greeted them and introduced herself to Nersin. Only a few more months and Opeila would be sitting in her class, finally learning some more about her gift. The Slytherin was looking forward to that a lot. "Hello Professor.", Opeila greeted her back and followed her searching look. What was she- Oh. Honestly, Opeila had not considered the teacher's age at all and innerly slapped herself.
She should have thought of offering her a chair or something. Within less than a second the young girl was on her feet and carried over a chair.
The Professor asked Opeila if she was expecting many. "Erm... Ideally yes. Apart from Nersin and me the club has five more members. It would be a shame if no one else showed up." The Slytherin would hate to have to present her ideas to such a small audience, mainly because it meant she would have to do it multiple times.
Sorry for taking so long!

cue the drama and trauma i have been planning *evil cackle* ──────────────────Once again, Everly was incredibly late.
It was only a few days ago, when Everly spotted the flyer that had been hung up, telling of the meeting for the Seer Club that would be held on the second floor. The simple way to explain Everly’s reaction would be that she had completely freaked out. She hadn’t quite been thinking that she’d wanted people to know when she had signed up. It wasn’t that Everly was ashamed of it necessarily, just that she was a bit more wary about matter surrounding this subject. She wasn’t too open about it, either, and hadn’t really outright talked about it with someone else before. Everly had almost slipped once, back at the start of her first year, when she’d been, shall we say, quite obsessed with find answers. She’d promised herself to be more careful. The memory of it still brought a tight-lipped smile to her face. Since then, though, Everly had been a bit more cautious.
Everly had been unsure what to do after reading the flyer. On one had, she didn’t have to, and could just simply not attend - after all, she was sure she could find other things for herself to do while she occupied her time. Then again, perhaps it could be enlightening - she could learn something, meet some other people who were like her, get to experience something else. After all, hadn’t that been her original motive?
Finally, after some inner turmoil, Everly decided she would attend the meeting after all.
Of course, Everly just so happened to be late. The meeting had started several minutes ago, and Everly was still rushing to the classroom on the second floor. When she got there, she noticed there were only three people inside. The Slytherin girl, Opeila, whom Everly had seen before quite often. The Divination Professor, Professor Kibitzer. And a fellow first-year, a girl with silvery white hair, someone Everly had never interacted with before.
There were tea and cakes on the table, but Everly made no motion to reach out and take one, although she was kind of hungry at the moment. Everly hesitantly lowered herself into a seating position next to Opeila, bringing her knees to her chest. “Um... hi,” Everly said quietly, clearing her throat to force herself to speak louder. “I’m Everly.”
This meek person was so unlike who Everly was that even Everly was unsure if she could recognize herself at that moment. She wasn’t sure what exactly it was - nervousness, perhaps, or anxiety, but Everly couldn’t quite remember moments when she’d been nervous and acted like this. Maybe it was just the fact that she was facing something that had been such a huge part of her life for so long face on, fully acknowledging it. That hadn’t been something Everly particularly wanted or thought she was capable of doing. Yet Everly still felt a bit weird about this whole thing. Tugging her knees closer to herself, as if hoping that could be her own personal shield, Everly chewed her lip, unsure what to make of these new developments. For most of her life Everly had been a shy person, and then for a while she had transformed into a new person, someone she’d always dreamed of becoming, and then now she had shrunk back into her shell. It was weird, how one little not-so-little thing could completely change how she acted. With a small sigh, one of determination, not exasperation, Everly tried to channel some New Everly energy into herself. She put on a warm and friendly smile on her face, but only part of her felt it was genuine.
