Percival could not lie and say he wasn't still upset. Indignation burned away at his flesh. Goading him to take action against the boy who had wronged him. Miller... The insignificant waif of a boy had humiliated him in front of other Purebloods and had made him look like a fool in front of Mudbloods. Percival gritted his teeth together he fisted his right hand into the pocket of his school robe. His hand easily found the metal object in his pocket. Its cool nature shocking against his warm hands. The lighter was rather old. Percival had taken it from his Grandfather's study after the funeral. It wasn't like his Grandfather would need it. Besides, he liked having something of his Grandfather's with him. He would get back at Miller for his cruel joke if it was the last thing he would do. Last time had been nothing more than child's play. Percival could not help but wonder how Miller would react if the flame actually touched his arm this time.

It was a thought that helped soothe his ire, and he began to think about how to go about this. He needed a place where they could be alone, and it needed to be close by. Percival had trouble believing Miller would willingly follow after him after the last time. He knew that Miller enjoyed reading after classes, specifically, on Fridays. Percival lacked the knowledge of exactly where his dormmate read. Though, he hoped he would be able to run into the other. Percival walked through the corridors keeping an eye out for familiar blond hair. His eyes widened as he noticed the boy walking down the hall. Luckily, it appeared that Miller had not noticed him. Caught up in some make-believe land portrayed in paper and ink. Percival froze waiting for the other boy to draw near. When he came only a few feet away, he quickly rushed him.

Percival gripped the boy tightly by his armpit. His brows were furrowed together and a large frown stayed permanently stuck on his face. As quickly as possible, he entered the nearest empty classroom. With a great huff, the boy dragged Michael into the room before throwing him against the door that had closed behind him. "Miller." he bit out glaring at the shorter boy. "I wanted to show you my Grandfather's old lighter. It's quite old and I was hoping to try it out to make sure it works properly." he said a grin crossing his face. Percival made a grab for the boy's left hand as he spoke the following words. "You'll help me. Won't you? You deserve this after what you did." he spoke his words growing harsh.

"And can jump up to 35 feet." Said the book Michael read as he walked down the hall. It wasn't late yet so he knew he had plenty of time to finish his book on Werewolfs and how they differentiate from different wolves. Or he would have, if the book hadn't have flawn out of his hands as he was grabbed and dragged into a nearby classroom. He was thrown against the door, a groan leaving him as the door knob hit his back, and looked up as Percy began to talk.

The boy looked insane as he spoke and Michael paid him no mind til he saw the lighter. The younger boy's eyes widened and he tried to make himself be as far away from the boy and his muggle machinery as possible. The boy ranted on, his voice harsh, his words nice. Michael didn't speak til the last sentence, his voice wobbling with the urge to cry and the boys eyes filling with tears. "Wait, Percy, Please. I dont, dont understand. Why. .. " he looked up to Percy, just as the first tear ran down his face, his eyes pleading for Percy to reconsider what he's about to do.

Selim looked up as two boys burst into one of his haunts, an abandoned classroom. They were obviously oblivious to his presence in a dark corner of the room, where he was reading and catching up on potions homework.

Selim always felt that abandoned classrooms were fitting for him. He often seemed like a ghost in the halls, pale skin and quiet footsteps adding to the idea. What better place for a ghost to rest then someplace abandoned?

He sure wasn't going to the abandoned toilets, that would just be asking to be discovered by a Dhaphire, human, or something more sinister than both. Besides, it wasn't exactly roomy in there either.

The snake-like boy blinked slowly as he watched the boys, eyes adjusting so he could realize who exactly they were. His dormmates, Rainwood, and the greenhorn boy he never bothered to remember the name of.

The boy he once shared tea with after the disaster of the blossom ball had slammed the door shut and shoved the smaller boy up against its surface. His anger, no, rage, was obvious from his tense posture and nearly bestial snarl. Te greenhorn, in the meantime, had begun to cry in fear from the sinister words being spoken by the blond boy.

Selim, of course, couldn't find it in himself to bother announcing his own presence, much less putting effort in to stop the two. No, instead the apathetic boy watched on, unfazed by the violence for rather obvious reasons if one caught sight of his own scars.

He remembered being burnt once, hot iron sizzling against his skin, bringing forth pain and the smell of burnt flesh as he tried to pull away.

Fire, a nasty little element, beautiful yet so destructive.

The snake watched on curiously, eyes half-lidded and uncaring as he sipped some tea he had brought with him. Almost soundlessly, he placed it back down beside him, making sure it wouldn't easily be knocked down.

He hadn't the faintest clue as to what wrongdoing the first-year Slytherin had done to Rainwood, and didn't much care. It was likely some petty drama that would be more of a nuisance to Selim than anything interesting. He was the boy who had gone against the mob and supported the resident 'villain' of the student body.

Perhaps he'd reveal himself to the two children later, but he felt much too lazy to speak up about how loud the two were being, disturbing his time to get homework done...

Troublesome.

Percival in his haste to corner Miller didn't notice the black-haired boy who remained silent behind them. It didn't help that he was facing with his back towards Selim. Leaving him none the wiser to their unexpected guest to the aggressive display being carried out. Too caught up in leaving a clear message to the blond-haired boy in front of him.

Rage pulled in his gut before slowly bubbling to the surface as he listened to Miller's incessant babbling. He couldn't believe it. Miller was trying to play dumb. Of all the things he expected, he had not expected this defense. Especially after Miller had been the one to confess to the crime he had committed on the day of the ball. He wondered if the other was trying to appeal to his emotional side. Make him think that the other boy was simply innocent. Did he truly think he was that dumb? Percival glared at the boy with dark black eyes that looked more like hard coals than actual eyes. "How dare you pretend not to know what you did." he started his voice tight with anger. "You humiliated me in front of everyone! Playing me like a fucking fiddle for your amusement." he snarled.

Anger and residual humiliation burning away as he recalled the events at the small gathering the younger boy had organized. A part of him was mad at himself as much as he was mad at Miller. Percival had thought it was strange for the boy to invite him to the ball. He had guessed that the other had been playing a prank on him, but he had simply ignored it. Inwardly, he mentally kicked himself for being so stupid. "Did you seriously expect I wouldn't do anything?" he asked the boy in a rough tone. Part of him actually wanting to know what the boy would say to that question. He wondered how the other would react to being called out so blatantly. Percival glanced towards the silver lighter in his hand. He flicked open the cap and rolled the flint stone to cause a brief flame. "Maybe I should leave you with a reminder this time." he muttered mostly to himself. Before, glancing back up towards Miller.

Micheal watched Percy get increasingly anger, and he was terrified. As Percy ranted he tried to think of a way to get away, anything he could do. At Percys words he began to think.

When did he humiliate him? He was barely around him besides in the dorms, and the bal- Oh.

Mic frown slightly, about to say something, but Percy didn't seem to be looking for any answers. He threatened him with the lighter again, only this time it was apparent, he meant to leave a mark on his skin. A reminder perhaps.

Mic felt more tear fall out of his eyes. "I, I didn't mean to humiliate you" he said, he sniffled. "i was just scared." He said almost shrinking into himself. If he had just gotten through his fear, he wouldn't be against a door, having to plead for the boy he liked to not burn him. He closed his eyes, making more tears fall, and bite his lip. He was trying to prepare himself, just incase Percy did burn him. But he had one last thing to say, "I'm sorry" he whispered, opening his eyes to look at Percy, to try and figure out the other boy's thoughts.

Selim continued to observe the petty drama in front of him apparently caused by Percival's bruised ego. Idly, he mused on the fact that he had seemed so calm back during the blossom ball. The boy who once asked for a blade from a killer's pocket (and apparently never intended to use it even for something like this) was nowhere to be seen.

Selim supposed everyone put on different masks for different people, not just him.

Eyes half-lidded, the observing boy sipped his tea while watching his two, very unobservant dormmates. As the boy who once shared that exact same tea with him once in the past brought the lighter closer to their underclassmen's face, a flutter of sadistic anticipation coiled around his chest, snaring his ribs. Cruelty befitting of a snake glinted in his gaze's amber glow.

He tried to smother it down, that dreaded glee that once filled him during his initiation into the Fausts' bloodied ranks, even as it bubbled up his throat he locked it away, eyes returning to their lazy stare as a particular voice hissed in annoyance, the noise tickling his skull, unheard by any other living thing around him.

He continued to drink his tea, the small cup lightly linking down on the saucer he held in his other hand. In a dignified sort of way, the 2nd year placed it on the stone ground beside him almost silently, and grabbed some onigiri from his lunchbox, munching on it laxly as he stared at the noisy duo with a half-lidded stare.

He likened himself to someone eating popcorn while watching a particularly macabre play, and felt a wry sort of amusement curl in his gut.

Well, it was a rather humourous scenario he had found himself in. He didn't often watch children dabble in torture whilst sitting in a corner, unnoticed.

Amusing indeed, but, after this petty squabble was finished, he was going to ask for his dagger back.

Obviously, Rainwood preferred fire.

Percival scowled at the boy's tears running down the other's face. Any other time it would have sparked glee, but all it did was feed the coiling snake of aggression in the pit of his stomach. The snake so badly wanted to be released to wreak havoc on the boy in front of him. He was never one to deny his impulsive nature. Though, something continued to irk him. Staring into the boy's pitiful face. He took in the sight of a quivering lip and eyelashes filled with tears. It soon clicked to him why he was so annoyed. He hadn't even done anything to the sniveling boy. Miller looked like a puppy that had been kicked far too many times. A part of him wondered how much of the kicking was from him. Though, he couldn't find it within himself to really care.

He still had trouble understanding the other boy's tears. Sure, he had roughed up the other a bit. Even threatened him, but he hadn't actually done anything to warrant full-on crying. The boy huffed his annoyance clear on his face as he debated what to do. "Little too late for apologies Miller. The damage you caused is irreversible. Get that through your thick skull, Miller." he glowered.

"It's high time someone taught you a lesson." he gritted out between clenched teeth. Percival gripped the boy by his jacket harder. Before, yanking him forward and towards the ground. Percival would turn to stand over the other before freezing in indecision. It took him a second to really understand what was in front of him. Selim Faust was sitting a few feet away and appeared to be drinking something. Most likely tea if he went off their interaction after the ball. "How long were you there for?" he asked his brows furrowing together. He didn't remember hearing the door open. So that meant the other could have been there since the beginning. Though, if that was the case, why hadn't the other boy stopped him. Or at the very least tell the two boys to find a different room.

Michael was breathing deeply, his mind racing yet quiet all at once. He felt the tears going down his face as he was stick to that wall. He was at Percivals mercy once again.

Last time he was naive to believe he wouldn't hurt him, but he knew better now. Tears flew down his face, dripping off his nose and face. He wouldn't leave unhurt.

"I didn't mean to invite you both, it was an accident" he said as he was stick there. A cruel accident. Sure Paige was gone now, something about her family needing her, but he still had her on his mind. He did hurt her. He had angered the boy too, was it because he was too hurt? Did this hurt him too?

Michael heard Percy exclaim something and opened his eyes, Selim was there. He was there and he didn't say anything. Would the other just have watched him get hurt with no words, like a fun show. The young boy looked away again, he didn't want to be just a show, a toy for the others amusement. He bite his lip as he sobbed slightly.

He wished someone else was here, to save him. To help him.

The quiet observer watched as Rainwood slammed the boy to the ground, facing him, and finally noticed his presence. The taller boy's face, understandably, held slight confusion at the realization that this private scene, was, in fact, not-so-private. His question confirmed the easy observation.

"I've been here since you barged in like a bull ready to charge at anything that moves." His tone drawled with faint amusement. "I say, I'm not fond of my solitude being trespassed in such a way, but I suppose this little scene is amusing enough not to dish out any retribution."

He continued munching on his lunch, eyebrow raised, and listened to the boy on the ground as he made another plea for mercy. His reptilian gaze drifted back to Percival, a dark spark of malice arising in their amber depths. "Tell me, Rainwood, are you going to follow through on your threat? Or will the prediction I made when we last spoke properly become reality?"

Honestly, the boy being assaulted by the jack-like figure of Rainwood terminated that sort of submissive, weak energy. If he could barely stand something like this then he had no chance in the real world. His only hope would likely be to grow up, and smarten up. Being a doormat never helped anyone in reality's cruel grasp.

If he was still like this upon graduation, perhaps Selim would accept his plea for mercy and put him out of his misery...
.
.
.
His brain paused, and he shook the thought away with an internal growl of annoyance.

No that wasn't him? Or was it?

A flash of the shadow he had glimpsed the summer prior shocked his system, and he physically froze for a moment, gaze unfocused for a mere second, before his body continued its normal functions.

He locked the intrusive thought away, bringing himself back to the present, to observe.

Percival stood in front of the other his body tight with tension as he waited for the other to speak. In truth, deep down, he knew the other had been there for quite a while. Though, hearing the dark-haired boy confirm it made it all the more daunting. His gaze flicked down towards Miller as the other described him as a bull. In truth, he really had acted like a bull. Gone was the logic and carefulness in the face of retribution. He had acted sloppy and now he had to reap the consequences. Wait to see how his mysterious dormmate would react. Would the other run away to tell a Professor? Or turn a blind eye?

He had trouble deciding with the boy's fairly blank face. In truth, the boy reminded him of a cat stalking an unaware bird. Confident and in control. Waiting for the perfect moment to strike the bird dead. He wasn't too sure if the shiver down his spine was from fear or thrill. Unwilling to try the boy's apparent forgiveness, Percival instead frowned quietly to himself. He wondered if the other would have actually done something if he had not found it so amusing. If he did decide to do something. He wondered just exactly what the other would do to punish them.

The remainder of the boy's words did nothing to soothe the slow-moving fire within his chest. Remembering the words said that night grated deep into his skin. Something deep within himself wanted to prove the dark-haired boy wrong. To show the other he was capable of following through with his threats. It felt like the other had captured him with his sharp gaze. He felt like a trapped butterfly pinned in place on some dusty wall. "No I can do it." he said with a sense of determination.

His words fueled his anger and were fueled more by the pitiful whining of the boy on the ground below them. Miller had been reduced to nothing more than a crying mess with pitiful excuses. Each sob grated on his ears. Each rolling tear made him want to punch the boy in the face. "Shut up Miller!" he snapped angrily.

Percival quickly descended down onto the weaker boy. Selim was right he should follow through with his word. Without his word, he would be nothing but a weak-willed boy. The boy gritted his teeth into a scowl as he grabbed the boy's right arm. Holding the boy's arm up and away from him. Pulling it back far enough where it would start to feel uncomfortable. Miller's sleeve would slip slightly downward at the change in position, and Percival would move it down towards the boy's armpit. With a thick swallow, the boy flicked on the lighter. His eyes caught the moving flame for a brief second. Mesmerized by the way it danced in front of him. Percival turned his attention back towards the crying boy underneath him. Without much flair, Percival held the lighter up to the boy's forearm. Effectively burning him.
