In Need Of An Escape Closed

Eri Windstone had an eventful morning. First off she had all of her classes and the homework load had been a lot. Though it wasn't to much for her to handle. Second of all her brothers have wanted to speak to her for a while after learning of her detention. She should just talk to them and get it over with, but didn't want to tell them the possibilities of why she was in detention. There were a few things that she had done that could have gotten her detention. But she still didn't want to speak to her brothers right then. She needed an escape.

The brunette walked quickly to the grounds. Quickly scanning the grounds, Eri found a nice tree she could sit in. The lowest branch was about 5 feet off the ground, but there was a knot that she could boost herself to get up into the tree. After doing so she sat on the branch. She wasn't hidden at all. If you looked upon the grounds you would be able to see her. She just needed to be outside so she could breath. Maybe someone would come along so she wouldn't be lonely? She didn't know.

Stepping down the last step from the castle, out onto the grounds, Bella slowly made her way towards the tree she had found a few days back. She had been using it as a place to sit and relax out of the way of everybody else. Glancing around the beautiful landscape, Bella admired how truly stunning it was; the castle, the grounds, the lake. Everything. It was a shame that she didn't have any proper friends yet. She had spoken with Luna and Orion, her older brother and sister, in the common room, but they were fourth years and had friends of their own to speak to. As for Ozzy, he was far to busy with Quidditch and finishing his last year at Hogwarts to really hang out with Bella. So in short; she was lonely. Even in this school surrounded by hundreds of people just like her, she still felt lonely.

Bella wasn't paying attention as she approached the tree, to encased in her own thoughts, so when she finally got there and saw a pair of legs dangling from it, she was a little startled. A small gasp escaped her as she looked up to see another girl sitting there and she stumbled back a little. After a second, however, she regained her composure and gave a small cough of apology as she turned to leave again.

Eri looked down at the girl. "No it's fine you can stay. I don't mind having any company. Or I could leave if you like?" Eri pulled her legs up onto the tree branch she was sitting on. It wasn't that she didn't want company, that was welcome, but this girl didn't have to leave just cause she was in the tree.

Eri liked being alone sometimes but maybe she should try to make friends. Starting with this girl. So maybe she should try to talk to her.

The brunette jumped from the tree and stood next to the girl. "Hi I'm Eri Windstone. Sorry I was in the tree. I'm guessing this is where you normally hang out?" The brunette said as she studied the girl. Hopefully the girl wouldn't tell her to leave. So maybe they could be friends. Though she found that unlikely. Eri was hard to understand. And that made people nervous cause she wasn't predictable. Some people didn't like the unknown and that is why've zero is considered a loner. But hopefully this girl enjoyed the unknown. And they could be good friends for that. Though Eri was just fantasizing and it would never happen.

Bella's head whipped back to were the girl had now jumped down from the tree. Eri, as the girl had introduced herself appeared a little apprehensive as well yet Bella was still unsure. She hadn't spoken much to other people and thanks to her parents her people skills were a little ... strained. But she was a Gryffindor. Bravery. That was there traits wasn't it? Although she was sure that referred more to battling dragons than simply speaking to another person.

"Oh, um, hi. I'm Bella. Bella Chastain," She regretted saying her last name the second the word had come out, she just hoped that Eri had never heard it before. "I, uh, sit here sometimes, when I've not got anything else to do, but you don't have to leave. I mean, if you don't want to of course. You're welcome to leave it's not that I'm demanding you stay" Bella gave a small chuckle at the end and cringed at how pathetic she sounded. 'All you needed to do was introduce yourself' she mentally chastised. She recovered quickly however, dropping her bag to the floor. She realised that the girl was not wearing her house robes.
"What house are you Eri?" She asked curiously. Perhaps she could have spoken with this girl a long time ago.

Eri listened as the girl spoke. It sounded as if her people skills were a bit limited. Well so were Eri's. And she didn't mind. Some people liked being by themselves every once in a while. "Nice to meet you Bella. And I don't want to be a bother." The brunette said and stood next to the tree and not very far from Bella either. She seemed like she meant well. So why not just stay and try to make a new friend with this girl?

Eri smiled and looked at the girl. "I'm a Ravenclaw. Which kind of fits me. Anyways Do you like Hogwarts?" Eri said calmly. If people who knew her were asked what houses she could be in they would say all of them except Hufflepuff. Which was probably true. Though Ravenclaw fit her pretty well. She loved Hogwarts. It was a great place to learn about magic and all of the wizards and witches before her. Though magic can be hard to master. There is a lot to learn and she wants to learn it all, but that might be difficult. And she will have to learn that she can't learn everything there is to know.

Bella visibly relaxed when she realised that Eri was not just going to get up and leave. She was still a little nervous but she saw this as an opportunity to finally make a friend. She sat down on the dusty, grassless patch at the bottom of the tree her back resting against the trunk before answering her question.
"I love it here. It's beautiful. And there's so much to learn! I get a little lonely sometimes, which is ironic really for someone with 7 siblings" She gave a fond smile at the thought of her siblings, a ghost of nostalgia fluttering through her eyes for a moment. "I miss them, the ones that aren't at Hogwarts. They're my role models really, especially now that mum and dad are ..." She paused at the mention of her parents realising that she was spilling a lot to someone she had just met. She didn't want to talk about her parents right now. "They're just not around at the moment" The last few words trailed off and she became unsure of what to say now.

To diffuse the tense air she had caused around the two of them, Bella hopped up from the ground and climbed up into the tree, moving along so there was room for Eri beside her.
