Dozing
It was a warm sunny day, fluffy white clouds floated freely in the sky. There weren't too many clouds, just 3 or 4 here and there. The sky was a bright, yet deep blue, it seemed to fade into a lighter color towards the horizon. The weather was absolutely beautiful. A light breeze blew across the grounds as some students chased papers they dropped and the grass moved softly.
A pale, black haired girl was drifting off to sleep on the grounds. She didn't mind resting on the grass and dirt despite how proper she was. She felt her eyes closing every so often while she watched the birds fly around in the sky in their patterns or by themselves. She was relaxed for the most part, she wasn't worried about any homework, or anything that she need to catch up on. She had a rather pleasant day so far.
She heard footsteps of other students along with laughs and shouts. Some of them a little too close to her for comfort. However, one noise seemed to get closer than the rest, almost as it was daring to disrupt her peace. "Why are you laying on the ground?" A voice said with a rather haughty tone. When Aravis turned her head she noticed someone glaring over towards her.
She frowned at their presence. She had never seen the person before, but she didn't like being disturbed while she was relaxing. "Because it's rather comfortable. Do you have a problem?" She said glaring back at the peace intruder.

Hiya, this is basically open to anyone (who Aravis hasn't met before) who want's to start a rivalry or have someone to dislike, because frankly, no one likes everyone. I figured I'd through this in here since most people are friendly, but I know there's got to be some one out there other than me is sarcastic.

Yes, I have a problem. You're in my spot, Ami thought to herself in disgust, although her face was a perfect mask of nonchalance. Normally, she wasn't like this, but even less sleep than usual (ahem, thirty minutes, to be precise. Damn this sleep insomnia) had made Ami cranky and irritable. And all she wanted to do was read, for cripes' sake! But nope, there was this girl with the audacity to sit where Ami always sat. The nerve of her! "No, there's no problem at all. I was just wondering," Ami said coolly, crossing her arms. Just wondering, indeed. Just wondering how on earth she could murder the Slytherin in her sleep without it tracing back to her. "I'm sorry to disturb your little nap, there, with my wondering. Sorry that I wanted to make sure you weren't dead or anything."
Turning on her heel, Ami walked a couple of meters away, and plopped down at the base of a tree, pulling out her book. Leaning back against the trunk of the tree, she flipped open to the page her bookmark was at, seeking placation from her favorite author. Maybe the sharp tongue and witty thoughts of Flavia de Luce would soothe her ill temper.

"Oh lovely! If you're done wondering then leave me be!" The black haired girl glared in annoyance. She was so comfortable and relaxed and here comes some girl wrecking her peaceful relaxing time. She rolled her eyes and the other girl turned on her heel.
Aravis looked at the Hufflepuff girl as she walked a bit away and made a signature 'tch' noise towards her. What could a Hufflepuff even try to do to a Slytherin? After all weren't they all nice and sweet and innocent? Her Aunt had said they were harmless and weak people. The other girl pulled out a book which caused Aravis to roll her eyes. Almost every student seemed to carry a book around to read, wasn't that a Ravenclaw thing though? Aravis couldn't say much considering her brother did the same thing, and she herself carried books of dragons around on occasion.
Aravis looked up to the sky humming a song she had heard from her younger brother Maven. She looked up to the sky admiring the clouds and the birds. She found herself having trouble relaxing once more. She was well aware of the other girl near her. She couldn't seem to find the peaceful state of mind she had before being so rudely awakened.

Ami froze when the Slytherin started humming, and made a coughing sound in annoyance. Could people these days just not shut up? Throwing down her book angrily (Nope, Flavia de Luce just wasn't working today), she turned towards the Slytherin and hissed, "Just shut the hell up, already! Maybe some of us came out here for some peace and quiet?" Ami snorted, and added, "Not that you Slytherins would know anything about peace, dabbling in your Dark Magic." Some part of her in the back of her mind started to scream, This isn't right! Turn back now! Be a genuinely decent human being, Ami, and apologize. Stereotypical, much? But there was no turning back now. This Slytherin girl had the nerve to rub her the wrong way, and now she was going to pay for it.
Scowling, Ami drew her cardigan tighter around her shoulders, turning away from the other girl. God, maybe she would stop humming now, and Ami would finally get some quiet. She took out her phone and earbuds from her pocket and cranked on her favorite heavy metal playlist, slipping the buds into her ears. Thank goodness her mom had found a way around the No Muggle technology rule here at Hogwarts, otherwise, her life might just actually be hell.

Aravis turned to scowl at the girl when she spoke. "It's not my fault that YOU came over towards ME. I was here first and frankly if you don't like my humming there is plenty more grass to lay on other than over here!" She said with a cold tone, her eyes darkening in anger. When the girl stereotyped her house it got all the worse.
Aravis shot up off the ground with her wand drawn. "Not all Slytherins are like that but if you want a taste of some Dark Magic I'll give you a bloody taste of it!" She said aiming her wand at the girl. Aravis knew of plenty of Dark Magic from her family, after all her Aunt and Uncle taught her a lot, she had never seen a reason to use it until recently She didn't plan on actually doing anything of course, after all the last time she actually cast a spell she had gotten 10 points taken from her house. That was not something she wanted to happen again.
"Just buzz off will you." She said putting her wand up, rolling her eyes, and humming once again. The other girl had the nerve to take out a muggle device at school. Aravis smiled to herself about that. She could easily turn her in for breaking the rules, but then again that required actually getting up, which she didn't want to do anytime soon.

Ami blinked slowly (almost lazily, one could think), rolling her eyes dramatically, and sighing loudly in the same fashion. This girl, thinking she could walk all over her just because she was a Hufflepuff. Rude, much? Of course, Ami didn't realize that she, herself, was also being a rude jerk, but there are eleven-year-olds for you. "Whatever. You wouldn't actually cast a spell at me. You don't have the guts to." Big mistake. Abort, abort! Mission failure! Turn back now! The last time Ami had said that was to her mom, who had immediately proceeded to set Ami's pants on fire. Someone save this child from her fits of anger.
Buzz off? Buzz off? The sheer audacity of this whole situation would've had Ami in tears of laughter under different circumstances, but under these particular ones, she became highly "cheesed off", as her mom tended to say. Snorting rudely, Ami turned away from the girl, turning the volume of her music up, louder and louder, until others could probably hear the music just as clearly as she could. She realized it was probably damaging her hearing, and possibly affecting her perfect pitch, but as of right now, she couldn't care less. She just needed to drown out the Slytherin's god-annoying humming, because it was really messing with her head.

Didn't have the guts hm? Aravis knew if she threw a hex or jinx at this girl she could get in trouble. She already had before. "Don't have the guts you say?" Ara said quitely as the other girl turned up her music. Aravis decided on a simple spell that didn't cause harm to teach the girl a lesson. "Steleus" The black haired girl whispered doing a hand guesture with her wand. Green rings popped out of her wand revealing that she did it correctly. She quickly put her wand up and pulled out a book of dragons before the other girl turned around or could even start sneezing due to the spell.
After noticing the few sneezes that had begun Aravis looked rather annoyed. Of all the spells she had to use why the annoying loud one. "Do you need a tissue? Take your bloody sneezing elsewhere it's causing a disruptance in the world due to how annoying it is. I don't want to get sick frankly." Aravis snorted with disdain before turning her nose up in the air. She assumed if she didn't leave soon the other girl would through a hex at her soon. She closed her book and got up off the ground glaring. "I don't want an illness of idiot so do go see a nurse before you infect us all." Aravis muttered at the girl before standing up and walking back towards the castle, mentally praying she didn't have a curse or something thrown back at her while he back was turned.

Ami didn't really take note of the first sneeze. Or the second. Or the third. Or, for that matter, the fourth, fifth, or sixth. But seven times in a row seemed pretty excessive... Lowering the volume on her music and taking an earbud out, Ami tuned into the world around her just in time to hear the Slytherin girl say, "Do you need a tissue? Take your bloody sneezing elsewhere it's causing a disruptance in the world due to how annoying it is. I don't want to get sick frankly. I don't want an illness of idiot so do go see a nurse before you infect us all." This girl! Ami was sure that she was the one who jinxed her to start sneezing. The girl stood up to leave, and Ami sneezed angrily.
Standing up, livid, she marched over to the Slytherin and shoved her roughly from behind, causing her to stumble. "And who the hell do you think you are, thinking you can talk to me like that?" she yelled, spinning the girl around to face her. Ami wasn't usually the yelling type, and this surprised even herself. Something about the Slytherin just rubbed her the wrong way, made her bristle- and she wasn't quite sure what it was.

I think this a good chance for the two to actually learn each others' names (Who do you think you are?) lol. I'm slightly sick of repeatedly writing, that Slytherin or that girl.

I agree. It is troublesome writing the same thing lmao
Aravis felt someone shove her from behind. She stumbled a bit before being spun around by her attacker. The hufflepuff girl seemed rather angry with Aravis. She asked a certain question causing Aravis to laugh. "Who do I think I am? Are you thick or just uneducated. I'm Aravis Isolde Escanora. I'm the daughter of Percival Escanora, Niece of Farrah and Arthur Haven a few of the head ministers of magic! Don't you know, you aren't supposed to offend someone like me? I could have you and your petty family sent to Azkaban!" She said with a mocking tone and expression. Her Aunt, frankly would find an excuse to put anyone in Azkaban. She didn't know the other girls family but figured it would make a point
Aravis smiled rather happy with herself. Maybe this would teach the other girl not to mess with people of a higher standard. "And who do you think you are shoving someone who could do easily wreck your life with a snap of their finger?" She said practically hissing the words out. Something about the other girl just gave Aravis the desire to set a snake on her. Unfortunately for Aravis, there wasn't a snake near by the could help her with that desire.

"Yadda yadda yadda." Ami rolled her eyes. "Well, Miss Escanora, I don't give a damn about you or your grand, extended family." Ami's American accent came out stronger than ever, as it tended to do when she was particularly upset, or when she was swearing; or both. "I bet you've never had to get in a hands-on fight in your whole life- you just got your daddy to do it for you. Oh, and maybe I'm not as invested in the wizarding world as you are, because your name doesn't ring a single bell. Purebloods," Ami added in disgust, curling her lip rather unattractively. "I guess there are some bad ones, after all. My mom warned against your kind."
"And who do you think you are shoving someone who could do easily wreck your life with a snap of their finger?" Ami laughed bitterly, raising her eyebrow. "Wreck my life? It's already wrecked, sweetheart. Ami Procoppio, daughter of a Bronze Star and former Slytherin Head Girl," Ami said sarcastically, mocking Aravis's haughty introduction. "Don't you know, you aren't supposed to offend someone like me?" she added, throwing Aravis's own words back at her. "After all, I could just pull a few strings and have the US Army murder your entire family."
