Signs Of Liveliness
Dawn clambered down the uneven slopes, with no immediate sense of direction. She had no proper idea of why she was here, just the fact that she had spotted something interesting. The undulated grounds guided Dawn and led her towards a rocky region. The place being an unfamiliar area to Dawn, caused her curiosity and keenness to appear, while she examined what brought her here in the first place. She proceeded, walking to the edge of a huge boulder and stopping for a moment to look down at the sudden medium drop, that was the only thing between her and her discovery. With a deep breath, she jumped down landing in a crouch with one hand in front, ninja style. She re positioned herself to stand and dusted off the dried dirt that speckled her hand. Raising her eyes, she landed her sight on a humongous tree that stood many feet taller than her. She had read enough about the tree to know its name was 'The Whomping Willow' and to stay a certain amount of meters away from it. She leaned back against the boulder, in which she had just jumped from and searched for any signs of liveliness. Deep down inside, she knew that she'll have to do something to provoke it, but kept having the reoccurring thought of, Maybe in a bit more time, it will move on its own. Within time Dawn became rather frustrated and grabbed a close by rock, countless times smaller than the boulder. Flicking her eyes up at the tree once, she threw the rock forceful yet low to the ground, causing it to roll forward and lightly tap the trunk. She moved back just in time as the Willow, known to be violent, shook roughly with anger, causing the birds perched on the top, to flee.

Signs Of Liveliness
It was getting late in the day and Bloom had wanted some fresh air before beginning her rounds with Reed Wesley, the other Ravenclaw Prefect. Her hair tied up into a bun and her bangs swaying to the side from the wind, she walked out of the entrance hall and into the courtyard. The duskiness of the sky was calm and eerie, a mood that made Bloom feel relaxed.
She decided to take a look at the grounds. Bloom hadn't been there since her accident with Reid Kovacs. The last time she was out on the grounds as when she was looking around the Herbology area and there was a baby acromantula hanging about. The leg of the creature had pierced her side stomach, but if it wasn't for the Whomping Willow smashing the creature to pieces, she would not have known what else the spider could have done. She was by far lucky and scarred by this tragic event. Reid, luckily, got by with just a scratch on his forehead. Even so, it perhaps scarred him, too.
Taking a leap of faith, Bloom wanted to see the monstrous tree that saved her life (although it did try to attack her as well). Walking out of the courtyard, and into the grounds, she walked down a steep hill only to find a Ravenclaw girl sitting on a boulder near the tree. She watched the girl, wondering if she even knew what the tree was.
Watching for too long, Bloom ran towards the girl when she saw her throw a rock at the trunk of the magical tree. "What are you doing?!" she screamed, hoping to scare the girl in the process. She saw the tree shake, birds making their way out of its branches and leaves falling to the ground. Dammit, she thought, wondering how they were going to get out of this one. Although they were far enough away, little did Bloom know (and who knew how much the Ravenclaw girl knew) that the tree was able to bend and stretch to its fullest abilities which was near where they were.

Signs Of Liveliness
Dawn watched with fascination, as the tree went back to its usual tree like, still posture. She found it kind of enthralling that the Willow had human like characteristics and was able to change its stance. Her eyes softened as the tree somehow reminded her of her cat, Fuzz, back at home, who got angry easily and always hissed when her got the chance. Smiling at the memory of back home, she was suddenly interrupted by a voice."What are you doing?!" It was so shrill, that Dawn flinched and in the corner of her eye, she even noticed two birds fly away from the Forbidden Forest.
As the voice echoed and then settled down, Dawn turned around, eyes wide, in search of the source of such a piercing voice. Her eyes just about widened to the max, when they found what seemed to be a female student rushing towards Dawn. She panicked, not sure whether the girl knew about the tree, enough to stay within a certain perimeter of it. Sure that the girl was after Dawn, she quickly got up and met the girl one quarter of the way, to avoid any casualties.
The girl, had eyes wide with concern, slight frustration and something else Dawn couldn't place. Her black, with unique streaks of auburn, hair was loosely tied up low and strands of hair fell into her face, supposedly from the run to their current location. She looked quiet familiar, but Dawn was unable to identify her. "You have to-" started Dawn, only to stop mid sentence. Placed on the blazer of the girl was a prefect badge and what more was that she had the Ravenclaw uniform on. Oh... thought Dawn, rather flustered at thinking she knew better than the Ravenclaw Prefect of her own house. She looked back up at the girls face and with a falter she said,"Oh...uh, um, sorry..I didn't think..."
