Chaos reigned at these kinds of events; it is the way. It did not matter how much loving work the planners put into it or how much time they took to decorate it so beautifully. Something was always bound to happen, and Santario was starting to wonder if it was worth it to come anymore. San knew deep down that she always would, year after year, she would dress up and walk into whatever area was prepared as she could be; alone. Ready to try and defend those who could not defend themselves even if she failed. Deep down she cared even if she tried desperately to convince herself she did not.

Chaos, so much happening at one time. Vladimir was successful in casting a flipendo, but Ruka and Jack were equally as successful. Quinn failed to pluck Erin from her perch atop Percival, and all of this happened while she snapped at Opeila. For injecting herself into a situation without understanding what was happening, a reckless action. One day she hoped that the girl before her would learn how to observe better, but some people were just not capable of being that way.

While Santario looked for a sweet spot to try and cast on Erin, a very unlikely find, a body collided with hers from behind. San stumbled a step forward before turning around and viciously glaring at the person who dared intrude upon her personal space. More so, she thought Opeila had possibly pushed her for her comment, but no. She levied such a harsh look on none other than Henry Knight. Her features softened immediately, but she knew Henry and the damage had already been done.

He offered a quick apology and an even swifter retreat. “Henry wai-…” Her hand reached out for him, but it was too late as she watched him approach some others and then leave the ball altogether. She would have to catch up with him later and formally apologize to him. However, her gaze following his retreat was possibly fortuitous. Next, her eyes landed on a pair most peculiar.

Santario’s brows knitted together in a frown as she gazed upon the figures. She lingered on the white rabbit still not capable of telling who that one was, but something about them rang a familiarity. Her eyes moved from the little white rabbit to the one that reminded her of shadow incarnate. Her free hand moved to grasp the locket that was not worn around her neck this evening, one of the only times she had replaced it with something else. She was not close enough to the boy to test if it really was him or not. She needed to be closer to know if he gave her that same feeling. That familiar feeling of cold hands slipping between her bones to grasp her heart, a fear she never headed when it came to that boy.

It did not matter that he had a mask on; she knew how he moved or at least how he used to. She remembered watching him during their talks, always wondering when his tolerating hand would turn hostile. Eventually, they had seemed to come to an understanding between gifting him her scarf last year and almost freezing to death by the great lake well after curfew together because they were both too stubborn to care about themselves. It had been Santario’s want to care about him that got him to accept her winter cloak and eventually led them back to the castle. He had inadvertently helped her through one of the darkest times in her life… And then he disappeared.

Were her eyes playing tricks on her, just wishful thinking, or had he finally returned?

Samantha took a good look at the flower, "I only know the names of these flowers." She pointed towards the hyacinth and narcissus. "This is a hyacinth and this is a narcissus." The young girl had seen her mom plant them and her mom had told her the names of the flowers.

"Thank you, thank you," Samantha bowed, "I'll keep practicing my acting skills." After Vivian had taking the fruit Sam said: "If we keep eating this healthy we will grow really old." She giggled by the idea of her and Vivian being old and grey together, they would be cute grumpy grandma's.

Vivian looked in shock, she didn't understood why anybody wanted to mary this soon. "Why would they even want to get married at all?" The young raven didn't understand it. In her mind marriage was something that would hold you back, why would you ever want to marry. She didn't understand the use of it. Yes, her parents were married, but she had no idea why. Apparently if you love somebody, you marry them, but you can also love somebody without being married was Samantha's opinion.

When Vivian got up and started walking, Samantha quickly placed her food back on the table. She left the half eaten fruit to go with her friend. While walking she grabbed her friends hand, so she wouldn't lose her in the group of partying students. She let her friend lead her to Simon and Haley, but Samantha had no idea what Vivian wanted to do.

Sam was standing behind Vivian and kept quiet while Simon was talking about all the people that apparently got married around their age. The disbelieve could be read off her face, why would so many people get married at that age. But when Simon looked at Haley with a beautiful smile on his face, while telling them that love has no age, Samantha couldn't resist a small smile. Vivian was right Haley and Simon were really cute.

Facts, that was something Samantha liked, things that could be checked. Simon had stated his case good. Still there was something inside of Samantha that didn't like the idea of two 12 year old students getting married. For the first time she spoke up: "You may have a bride and a groom, but that isn't enough." With the small knowledge she had about marring she knew that there had to be somebody to make it official. In the movies there was always somebody who said something like: "Do you name, take name as your lawful husband?" "Don't you need somebody to take care of it all? And you guys won't even be able to marry for the law, it will just be symbolic. I don't want to take away you guys happiness, but I have no idea how you are planning to get married. You probably need your parents permission, and do you even have rings?" Her questions could be interpenetrated as her trying to help, but also as her seeing bears on the road and trying to talk the lovebirds out of their plan.

When Haley called out of a toast to Simon, her fiancé, Samantha had no glass to drink out of, so she could join the toast. Not that she would have joined the toast if she did have a glass, she still wasn't sure if marrying was the right thing for them to do. All she did was just standing there, nervously playing with her dress, while Haley toasted.

When Simon started to praise her best friend Samantha looked at Vivian. What was she going to do? Haley joined Simon, she looked at Vivian with big puppy eyes. Samantha would support her friend in whatever she decided she wanted to do, but a part of Samantha wanted the two to get married. It seemed like that was all they wanted, and who was she to take that away from her. Besides the 'marriage' wasn't going to have any effect. It wasn't something of the law, it was just symbolic.

Samantha turned to her friend. "I mean, it wouldn't hurt anybody. But the choose is all yours. Well, it is not you who would be getting married, so really it isn't your choose if they marry. If you don't they will probably find somebody else to do it." The young girl though out loud, hoping that if Vivian would hear her thoughts, it was easier for her to decided if she wanted to do it or not. "But it is not legal to get married at this age, and to be honest I would never even think about getting married at this age, but hey, it is not my choice."

Vivian was so clear that they shouldn’t get married at this age when she started walking towards them. Tho she was able to see the hatred in the red-haired girl towards the blonde when she tried to stop their wedding, she hoped they’d understand that they were not supposed to marry and would change their mind if she explains in a clear manner. Before she could say another word, Simon started to talk about Romeo and Juliet. “They met when they were thirteen!?” she raised her eyebrows, “I didn’t know...” she continued as she shook her head. All this time when Simon gave a break before continuing, her head was full of thoughts about Romeo and Juliet. She knows it’s a love story and they both loved each other but she didn’t know about when they met. To be frank, she didn’t even know if it’s a real life story or not. Later realising that she wasted her time thinking about stuff that doesn’t matter now, she flinched.

The blonde was expressionless when Simon started to talk about the history of people getting married at young age. After hearing the history, She glanced at Simon and his girlfriend every now and then with her eyes narrowed and was double minded. So, it means there’s nothing wrong if they get married now but.... but what? She didn’t get a valid reason to stop this marriage but at the same time, she thinks it was not right. Yeah, love has no age, Simon was right about it, she nodded responding to both her thoughts and Simon’s girlfriend. The bride and groom were ready to get married, so no force can stop this marriage besides them. Smiling slightly at them, her eyebrows furrowed still in confusion, turned to look at Sam to know how she feels about it.

Now it was more confusing after hearing Sam, the blonde thought that bride and groom were enough for the marriage just a minute ago but her best friend said that it wasn’t enough. But she was relieved to hear that it’ll not be a legal marriage, so there’s no problem and no need to stop this wedding and hurt their feelings. “W-we need their parents?” she tilted her head. Vivian was an emotional person and after knowing that they both can’t live without each other, how can she do nothing? She wanted to help their friends and she thinks parents are not needed now as it is not going to be registered.

Suddenly when Simon asked her to be the officiant, her eyes opened wide, “I-I- B-But” she shook her head in lack of words, yes she wasn’t against their marriage but when they asked her to be the officiant, she didn’t know what was stopping her. Yeah, Sam was right, it was not her’s or Sam’s choice, it was Simon’s and his girlfriend’s choice. When the bride and groom were ready, who was she to stop this? And looking at his girlfriend’s pleading eyes, she could do nothing but smile at them and say, “If you both feel that you wouldn’t regret this”.

Lavinia had already learned one important lesson at this ball, never take a drink without knowing what it is. She made the mistake and her actions from the drink were absolutely unacceptable. It was not something she ever wanted to do again and didn’t think that anyone else should have to go through it. That notion was destroyed when the boy named Charles fell in love with Kazou the same way she had. He was saying so many things that she knew he didn't mean and even though she tried to stop him, it did no good.

The thing that seemed to have snapped the boy out of it was a redhead storming up to him, yelling at him, and punching him in the jaw. Lavinia was surprised at the actions and quite glad that no one had done that to her when she was under. Then Charles love potion he had taken was worn out and he was left in a much different state then her. Lavinia had remembered everything she did and this boy seemed to not remember any of it. In a sense she was glad that she knew what she did so that she wouldn’t spend days wondering. This boy wanted to get away and Lavinia couldn’t blame him, she still wanted to do the same thing.

The newer arrivals had left and it was time for Lavinia to do the same. She couldn’t hang around these people when she knew what she did and was still mortified by it. This was too awkward of a place to be so she decided it was time to go somewhere else. Another sorry was in order first, she had to make sure that they knew she meant nothing of it so she turned back to Kazou and Dee and said, “I just want to say again that I am so sorry for everything I did, I can’t blame it all on the drink because some of that was me. I didn’t mean though and I hope you two have a good rest of your night.” With that she turned around and walked away from them.

She walked in the oposite direction that the international students went in to try and avoid dealing with more post-love potion syndrome. That’s when she heard somebody yell that they had a proclamation to make. She honestly didn’t really care what it was and wasn’t fully listening until she heard the name Haley. Haley was one of the few friends she had made here and she didn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Listening intently now, Lavinia was shocked to hear the boy propose to Haley.

She looked closer at the boy and noticed that he looked to be a first year, why was it that he wanted to get married, and to Haley none the less. Then the answer hit her, the same reason why she had kissed Kazou, this boy, or Simon as she had heard him say, must have been under the effect of love potion. Lavinia was about to go over there and get Haley out of the situation when she heard one word, yes.

Haley, one of her close friends had said yes to marrying Simon at the age of eleven or twelve. Did she know the magnitude of what she had just done? The Haley she met had not seemed like she wanted to get married so what had changed. Lavinia had been taking small steps over to them and took a good look at the pair. They looked so in love and she didn’t really want to disturb it. Yet she wondered, if they were both under the effects of Amortentia, how much of the love was a potion and how much was real?

Walking closer to them, Lavinia had made up her mind, she was going to just talk to them about how they were too young for marriage and almost did when another girl beat her to it. This Simon guy responded that love had no age and gave a long list of examples. She couldn’t contradict the statement though, it made sense to her. Yet, they should be getting married without their families, a proper officiant, and most importantly, without their own brains! Lavinia knew Haley wouldn’t agree to this without a bit of potion in her.

Soon enough, she learned that the blond girl named Viv was going to officiate the wedding. Lavinia couldn’t let this happen, she couldn’t let her friend go through with something without knowing what she was doing. The thing was, she couldn’t it wasn’t real love because they looked so in love, she just couldn’t do that to her friend. Instead she came up with another plan and could only hope that it would work.

She walked up to Haley and spoke to her in a kind tone, all she was doing was just trying to convince a love potioned friend not to get married, how hard could it be. “Hi Haley, it’s great to see you here. I happened to overhear that you’re getting married to Simon here. I’m very curious to understand why you want to get married at this school ball? There are much nicer places in the magical world that you could get married at. I’m happy for you but, I honestly don’t think you fully understand the magnitude of marriage. I don’t even understand it and I’m a whole two years older than you. Maybe you could explain it to me so I can be fully supportive of your decision.”

Perhaps staling the wedding wasn’t the best plan but it was the only thing Lavinia could think of, just get Haley talking for long enough that the potion effects would wear out.

Percival's words gave the frenzied girl pause - a shared language, a core memory? She was not born in Ireland but she spent a great deal of her childhood on the green isle. Her father was rather indifferent to her and her brother's presence. It was not that they were poorly cared for, quite the contrary, their biological needs were always satisfied. If not by their father then by someone in service to their father or their needs. One could say she was lonely, but it was something more than that. Something deeper. Something that was wrong with not only her but her bloodline.

Had anyone ever followed her to her home they would understand the sterile conditions of her rearing. Well-learned, well-fed, in a clean, temperate home that had no soul, no hearth besides the literal one. [Link] A heart was what had always lacked for a one Erin Ryan. Not that a painting or a splash of color would have changed her, would have saved her. One needs to feel to appreciate things such as art. To respect, honor and attempt to divine true beauty and to experience life as it was truly intended. To know both pain and love, which she knew of only because she saw it. She saw it in its unappreciated and cheapened state, unacknowledged, bought and sold, ignored and buried. Their scraps would have been her treasures. The truth of her homestead was simpler to those had it been apparent, she was as she was made - a monster.

Did Percival's words stir something in Erin? No, there was nothing to stir beyond the frenzied paranoia he had already grown victim to. She could not love them. She could not care for them. She could not hate them either. She knew that she should, she knew what hate and rage and wrath looked like. The agitation others felt towards her rolled off them like flames in a hearth. His words did something else, they confused her.

An enemy asking for a cease fire when in an advantageous situation made no sense. She had come upon him in the presence of his allies and she was out-numbered, a logical disadvantage that no passion could compel her to ignore despite all appearances. She might have appeared as the most passionate among them, indeed the most reckless. The later being the truth, simply not the former. In truth, she wanted it to end. The lies, the festering madness, the unabating pain that had reached her very bones. She had tried, she had failed. They were everywhere. There were too many faces. Too many eyes!

Percival did not resist and she no longer wanted him. She would relinquish her hold on his collar and eye him as a confused predator would before uttering a single word "--why?"

His allies would not falter in their defense of Gray. She would never tell him her why, not that it mattered. Her brain was too addled from the festering madness that grew and spread like an infection. Quinn would come for her, t'was expected. Wanted in fact. One felled monster and a glorious battle to the end. That is if Gray was the monster her mind had made him out to be. Uncertainty was a hell of a deterrent. Gray was a decoy, a defect, an ally of theirs, not hers. Gray was--

Santario's wand drawn, another for the giant's fearsome army. Pretty, dark hair, bright eyes, small. Weak. Well-liked by the others. What was she? What was Gray. She wanted to bite her. To claw her and see what was beneath. Curiosity? Concern? Compulsion.

Some girl (Opeila) would ask for calmer heads to prevail. She did not recognize her, well she did, from the common room. She seemed to take disproportionate pleasure in taking her wizard tight from her before she learned how to use it. Thomas deserved whatever bruise (or hopefully black eye) he had gotten and then some. The tension between the girls would go unnoticed by Erin, a deathwitch... no sympathizer under her thighs. Get off, take their king, not the town drunk.

There would be no calmer heads on this day as a Ravenclaw the part Veela vaguely knew of pointed his wand in her direction and said "...Flippendo" How did she know him? They traveled in the same circles not that either would care to admit it. Ruka's presence would not hinder or deflect the attack intended for Erin, merely add injury to insult.

"Ruka no!"

Yes, not Ruka. Never Ruka. Jack ran to save him, the drama unfolding in her periphery. Ruka would be blown back and then Jack would attempt to catch the boy only to be sent back as well. The two of them would land on her. A dogpile on the lawn. She would be knocked down, off or at the very least no longer effectively straddling the youth as she was partially buried beneath a goat and whatever the hell Ruka was dressed as -- a bonfire maybe? "Get-- off" she would growl, her face pressed into the future Prefect's shirt. Her muffled words the only warning as she saw the movement of light, of shadow and sprang into action.

The shadows of Quinn's hands that would reach for her and she would wiggle away but not to escape but to bite. Yes, Erin was going to bite the giant in his massive... hand? Yes, hand as she tried to escape from beneath what would have been a perhaps fun moment -- a pair of Jacks on top of her. Winnie Harper, you can have this ride. The fun she and Jack could have had was not real, a lie. Something she reminded herself of. The mind being a funny thing, it was trained to want that face. To believe in-- she knew to believe in nothing but what her own brawn can earn her.

The constant flow of ridiculousness that poured from the visiting student’s mouth was so over the top Kazuo couldn’t even begin to take him seriously. It was fascinating, though, how it seemed to affect people differently. Though there was only a small amount of the potions in the punch bowls, Charles seemed to be acting as if Kazuo had Imperio’d him instead of just spiking the punch with a bit of Amortentia. It struck him as a very odd reaction, not at all what he had been expecting based on his studies.

It seemed that Charles’ potion-motivation would bring the wrath of not his date who was simply confused, but Scarlet. Out of nowhere, the girl Kazuo barely knew came to yell at Charles then wound up and punched him. Kazuo took another step back, not particularly interested in getting dragged into a physical confrontation of any kind. As Charles attempted to flee Kazuo couldn’t help but to chuckle at the older boy’s denial. Couldn’t remember? Really? Amortentia doesn’t remove the memories. He shook his head then turned to Dee, noting the judgemental look she had pinned on him. He gave her a grin that was completely unrepentant.

“Oh definitely. Might even have pointed you to the right punch bowl if I hadn’t been side-tracked by this unfortunate distraction.” He replied to her question, quite pleased that she had figured out what was going on. “Although I have to admit, I’m a bit confused as to why I seem to be the target of this particular infatuation. I don’t know either of them.”

He shifted his gaze away from Dee briefly to survey the Ball, noting the dogpile of people. “Do you think a Professor will step in or is this just going to devolve into fire or something?” He asked Dee with a mixture of amusement and concern in his tone. He didn’t like seeing Ruka and Jack caught up in Erin’s madness but he wasn’t going to join in the fray without either a plan or a better understanding of what was going on as they had.

Both of you need to get away from Erin before you end up getting hurt… More hurt.

So, in hindsight, stepping in front of someone's wand as they performed a Knockback Jinx was probably not the smartest idea. Certainly, Ruka had had various great - fantastic, even - reasons for doing so, but the second the spell hit him all of those had been forgotten.

It caused pain, the blast of that spell, like a punch in his gut that propelled him backwards, left him nauseous and unfocused for a moment. Fortunately he'd been prepared enough for being hit that he was able to hold on to his torch rather than letting it whirl through the crowd and setting anything on fire Thanks, Kaz XP. What he hadn't quite been prepared for was the body he collided with almost immediately; Jack seemed to have realised Ruka's intentions like he had some sort of tingling spidey-senses for his brother's bad decision making, and thus had made himself a ready pillow to soften Ruka's fall.

At the very least that meant that Ruka didn't just land on the hard ground, but rather on top of Jack, who had landed on top of Percival as well as half on top of Erin, who seemed to be wiggling enough to make their dog pile tremble with the movement.

"Dimwit," Ruka told his brother with too much fondness lacing his voice as he blinked dazedly, trying to recover from the impact of Vladimir's spell. "I wanted you out of the line of attack." All the anger and resentment he had experienced just moments before melted away for now as he turned a bit to check if his brother had been harmed in their little tumble. The torch in Ruka's hand was held out to the side to make sure it wasn't going to come in contact with anything flammable.

Before he could properly make sure, however, that Jack hadn't actually been harmed, Ruka was distracted by more movement in the form of the far too tall Hufflepuff Prefect, Quinn, reaching for Erin, who... tried to bite at his hand?

"Erin, what are you..." Ruka struggled to roll himself off his brother and onto the lawn. He could hear a warning flashing through his head, a familiar voice that drew his attention until his eyes landed on Kazuo with a frown. He mumbled something under his breath, lifted a hand to rub at his eyes.

"Too late," he thought. "We're already in this mess now."

With that thought, Ruka took a deep breath, cast a wary glance at his brother and did the arguably dumbest thing he could have possibly thought of.

Pressing his torch into one of his brother's free hands, he would throw himself at Erin with all the force he could manage to bring up with his 4'8'', 77lb midget body.

By the Heavens did he hope his brother understood what he was doing.

Well this was a straight mess to put it nicely. Bodies flying, a pile of bodies (not dead) forming and a previous pristine atmosphere going through a slow fall of madness like they're Nietzsche. That was neither here nor there at the moment. Quinn had a decision to make, how to deal with Erin. Was she really trying to bite him again!?!

He quickly racked his brain through options, Harlin of course was in the back of his mind messing with him but that was unimportant. It wasn't as malicious as the previous year so he could ignore it for now. In fact, an ingenious thought came to his mind as he made to quickly wrench his hand away. "Erin. Ah know ye think me a monster, but have ye ever considered this? Ye'll turn into a part giant if ye keep trying to bite me. Afterall, everyone knows it doesn't take much of our blood to get into someone before they start to turn into one of us." It was flimsy at best but he prayed that Erin was crazy enough to believe it. Then again if she could believe that Quinn was a cannibal then he was pretty sure she'd believe this load of bull.

He was of course concerned about Nico as he shot her the quickest of glances. He couldn't really see San, and if he got the chance. Quinn was going to thoroughly throttle Vladimir. The student deserved at least that much.

Anyway, if that worked, then Quinn would move around her quickly and try to deal with separating the children in the dog pile. Was a right mess, and it annoyed him but hey he hadn't been terribly wounded this time. So small battles right? He glanced to Ruka just in time to...see...the-oh no...Ruka why!?

Charles Alluring sounded like an overobsessed fanboy with attachment issues, which was not his usual style. He continued to sing (not literally, sadly) the praises of the so-called Apollo, speaking like a side character in a second-rate Shakespeare play. Cassie was fairly sure he was just spewing random trash out of his mouth and hoping it sounded nice. Which it didn't. It just sounded a little stupid - to Cassie Heather's untrained ears, anyway.

When Cassie suddenly realised that the organiser's hand was on his wand and blurted out a request for the boy to not hex them, Charles apparently disagreed. "No it's not!" the Beauxbatons girl protested, cringing at her friend's words. Then, when she mentioned the girl whom she was pretty sure was 'Apollo's date, Charlie seemed to think that she was joking. "I'm not joking, you idiot- listen-" Then she switched to French, which she hoped the others wouldn't understand. "You don't know what you're saying," she decided. "I bet you're drunk, or something. Ew, I hope they didn't put alcohol in those drinks. Actually, I'm fairly sure that would be illegal. Charlie!" Charles didn't even turn towards her at her words, fully focused on the boy instead. She moved to smack the back of his head, and missed. [I'm assuming this automatically fails, since this isn't my action for the round.] "Charles Nako Alluring! Get your head in gear! You sound like a creepy stalker!" she hissed, suddenly well aware of the boy and the two girls, who were still watching them. Oh, gosh. This was not turning out well.

Charles appeared to think that Cassie's words meant nothing, and instead stepped closer to the boy, still speaking bad poetry. "He could've at least made that rhyme," Cassie muttered, fiddling with the rosary bracelet she always wore, only realising after they were out that she'd said the words aloud. Ah well.

Then, the second girl spoke up - the one whom Cassie had seen kiss the boy Charles was currently failing to flirt with. She told Charles to back off - good - and said that, whatever he was feeling, it wasn't actually there. Wait, what? At least Cassie had a name to put to the boy now, though - Kazuo. Then she addressed Cassie, and the Beauxbatons girl gaped at her words, still hopping from foot to foot even in her amazement. "Love potion?!" she repeated, disbelieving. "You can get love potions?!" Cassie didn't know what to be more worried about - that love potions existed, that they didn't appear to be illegal, or that Charles had apparently drunken one. It made sense, but it was horrible to think that someone could have put potions in the drinks without telling anyone. It was immoral, it was disgusting, it was- Cassie couldn't even think of any more words. Hopefully, whoever had done it wouldn't get away with it.

No longer under the effect of the Invigoration Draught

Suddenly, Cassie felt the energy flow out of her. She slumped, falling still, suddenly feeling tired, oh so tired, at least compared to what she had been feeling a moment ago. It wasn't a nice feeling.

When Charles stumbled backwards, seemingly confused, the confusion made Cassie almost dizzy. "Charles! You just-"

And then, in a flash of gold, Scarlett Aden burst onto the scene, screaming very angry insults in Charles' direction. Strangely, the thought which popped into Cassie's head wasn't one she was expecting to think. Wait, since when did Scarlett swear? Then she recovered her wits and realised that her best friend (well, best friend in Hogwarts) was attempting to punch her other best friend (well, best friend in Durmstrang) in the jaw. "SCARLETT! STOP IT!" she shrieked, at once a little freaked out by the fact that the angry lioness was attempting to fight Charles and touched that the girl was so ready to defend her. "IT'S NOT HIS FAULT- THERE WAS A POTION- SCARLETT!"

Charles didn't seem to be able to remember anything, which confused Cassie to no end. He actually had the audacity to ask the Beauxbatons girl what had happened! Then he said that they were leaving now and turned to Cassie, obviously asking if they could go somewhere else. Cassie hated this feeling of being out of control, and decided that now was the time to regain her wits. "Not until you apologise," she told him sternly, pushing him forwards a little. "To Kazuo, and Aphrodite, and whatsername here." Once Charles had done so (Cassie would refuse to move until he did), the teen turned to Kazuo, eyes brimming with something between fury and determination. Small she may be, but she is fierce - or something like that, anyway. Cassie had never paid much attention to Shakespeare. "You're one of the ball organisers." She paused to let the younger boy say anything if he wanted to. If he didn't, she'd just barrel on through. "You should know, I'm going to find out who did this, and they're going to wish they were never born. Scar, come over here."

Then she marched off after Charles, completely ignoring the dance floor she was barging through.

Okay, Cassie knew that Charles wouldn't want Scarlett around right now. She also knew that Scarlett wouldn't want Charles around right now. But she also knew (or was pretty sure about, at least) that they both ought to know what was going on, and she wasn't in the mood for repeating herself. "What happened," she began, voice brimming over with anger towards the unknown potioneer, "is that some frickin' idiot of a piece of sugar" - Cassie's vocabulary was certainly cleaner than Scarlett's - "put love potions in some of the drinks. Love potions!" She threw her hands upwards. [Not literally. Although that would be funny.] "Please tell me those are illegal."

Then, Cassie suddenly heard a noise. A boy's voice, shouting for everyone to be quiet. Cassie turned towards the voice, listening in astonishment as he, too, sang the praises of another student. A girl - Haley. Then, as Cassie watched with mouth open, he asked her to marry her. And she said yes. This sort of thing didn't happen randomly. This sort of thing definitely didn't happen between two twelve-year-olds. And Cassie recognised the look in both of their eyes all too well as they revelled in their joy. Love potion.

Cassie lost it. There was no way she could just stand there and let this go on without doing anything about it.

She stormed over to Kazuo, pushing people out of the way, and screamed, "YOU! ORGANISER! "YES, YOU!"" Probably, the entire ball could hear her, even over the rest of the commotion. Angry Cassie Heather was a sight to behold. "YOU ARE GOING TO GET UP THERE" - she pointed towards the highest area of the makeshift outdoor ballroom - "AND YOU ARE GOING TO TELL EVERYONE - EVERYONE - THAT THERE IS LOVE POTION IN THOSE DRINKS AND YOU ARE GOING TO WARN THEM AGAINST DRINKING IT. YOU HEAR ME?"

“The terrible immoralities are the cunning ones hiding behind masks of morality, such as exploiting people while pretending to help them.”

Interacts with: @Jack Burnett & @Winnie Harper

Mentions: @Ruka Burnett-Tân, @Erin Ryan & @Vladimir Athanatos
Well, this went as well as it should have. Honestly, how could he have expected another outcome beyond one where he would be targeted? One where personal drama could be slightly spread. Only cost him a kiss with tongue and letting the whole school see him in his skivvies. The madwoman was on top of his dormmate in some sort of frenzied delusion about 'death witches', evidence of an addled, troubled mind and the behavior of a reckless predator. An obvious target and despite her dramatics the focus was on Vladimir as warned.

Made sense, not that they targeted him or that they endeavored to deny him but that Athanatos would make such a strange request of him. To betray his core nature, to continue with the masquerade with the knowledge that it would change him. Perhaps for the better, everyone wears a mask and why should he be any different. Only in death should his infirmaries, debilities and uncertainties exposed. Be fearless and unstoppable, unflappable and more dangerous than your rivals.

He plucked Burnett's wand from his hand, stop defending the rabid woman. Burnnet had a dire lack of common (or uncommon considering his company) sense. A girlish scream when he looked away, prize in hand and he saw Winnie's face. For pity-sake, Winnie's face was right there! Marvelous Merlin! He passed the wand to the girl, a bit presumptive that she would have the sense to protect her paramour by withholding his wand. It was intended to be a token of peace, a metaphorical olive branch. Shame she had no clue what to do with it and stuck the olive branch up her metaphorical nose. The wand Jack was using to defend that... well, 'girl' was not the right word for her but 'monster' was not quite right yet either. 'Changeling' was better. She had the symptoms, witness accounts replayed evidence of the marks and yet they protect her at his namesake {Gray's) expense. Even if they did not know, her behavior was unstable and dangerous, there was no hiding that. In comparison what had Gray done besides exist and perhaps be a bit of a condescending dick (opinion).

Winnie would pass back the wand to Jack and attempt to tackle the first year. He could see her barreling at her, like a bull headed for a nearly naked flag. "Not on a first date!" He would yelp before he attempted to evade the 'attack'. "I am not that kind of boy" he would add loudly as he attempted to avoid an almost certain groping. Fate had other plans, her foot caught the hem of her skirt and she would face plant. Merlin loved him it would seem.

A disgraceful end for an overly dramatic, unnecessary attack. He was not going to help the girl up so she could attack him once again. She had a better chance with him than she had with Ruka or Jack, but in turn he had a better chance with them than she had with either of them. Indeed, his attention was on the twins in a disgraceful pile on top of Gray. He would go for Burnnett, his dormmate and younger twin. Mathias was not burly or fully-clothed thanks to Ruka, he would not outmuscle them more than likely (if only he knew their stats) but he had a very specific set of skills for people like Jack. He was very good at pissing people off.

Well, he intended Jack but Ruka was closer and well... same face... may as well be the same thing as far as he was concerned. Shrug, close enough. He would ruin the firebug's night with a single unsavory act. He leaned down, hovering over the cap of the pile (Ruka) and he would attempt another unwarranted kiss. Better known as the Tyranni Tactic by those older than he, a more effective assault than vomiting slugs. It had meaning, led to regret, embarrassment and had social ramifications.
Actions: Attempts to lay one (kiss) on Ruka. Left Winnie to eat dirt and watch.
"Laundry Girl," Winnie was her name but he did not know or remember it. "Watch this." Hello social ramifications.
