☆ history ☆

Born right in the centre of Greenwich in London, it took little to no time for Anita to be placed into foster care due to financial troubles that her biological parents could not handle. Of course, due to her young age, she didn't, and couldn't, understand why her parents left her behind, and paid little to mind to it as she slowly settled down in her new home.


A fair amount of years passed by before she caught the eyes of a young couple, who as soon as they saw her instantly wanted to take her under their wing and become her new parents. At first, she very visibly hesitated and scurried away from the pair, not wanting to leave her home, and friends she had made during her time there. But, over time, she got used to the couple, who decided to visit the girl regularly to get her used to their faces, and once she seemed to be comfortable enough with them, they officially adopted her and eventually moved to North Berwick in Scotland, telling her that they were 'starting brand new'.

She was brought up to be kind, and respectful whenever possible, but to speak up and call out other people whenever she saw that they were doing something immoral or generally rude. Her new adoptive parents tried to be as lenient as possible with her, and pretty much let her roam around on her own as long as she didn't wander off too far away, and as long as she didn't put herself in any danger. Luckily, the family lived close to a forest park which she would often visit, usually accompanied by one of her parents' friends. Most of the time she'd hang around the trees and roll in the grass, and would try to tempt the occasional squirrels and birds to come closer so she could pet them. As expected, more often than not the animals would step closer, and then scurry away as soon as she reached over to them.

The only social interaction that she had with other children her age was when she wandered about in her neighbourhood, as she was home schooled by one of her parents. She didn't mind, of course; talking to people wasn't on her list of priorities that she had to tick off regularly. Her parents, at first, were a bit wary, for various reasons, but eventually let the matter go as they didn't see it as anything too worrisome.

Eventually, there came a day where, somehow, her hands would cause something that she'd never seen before. As she sat in the living room silently reading her book, she reached over to grab her cup of tea that rested on the side table, feeling nothing but a sudden breeze and then hearing a sudden smashing of windows. Once looking away from her book, she finally noticed what had happened; the cup, for some unknown reason, had flew right out the window, and into the front garden.

Her parents came running into the room, confused and shocked. They thought their daughter had thrown her cup outside of the window on purpose, until she explained to them what had actually happened. Being both muggles, they had a difficult time comprehending the whole situation, but they tried their best to comfort her and understand that this might mean that their daughter may be a bit more different than the other children.

Soon after that incident, the family would find a woman knocking on their door, with an acceptance letter from a school named 'Hogwarts' that was addressed to Anita. The woman explained to them about the magical society wizards lived in, and how their daughter was part of it. They were shocked, of course, but as the explanations continued, they found themselves accepting the story. The woman promptly told them that, if needed, they'd help with the retrieval of any school supplies, and would help prepare their daughter for the school, and new home, that she was going to live in.

They accepted the offer, and after Anita got her hands on everything she needed for that year, she stepped onto the train headed for Hogwarts and bid her parents farewell.
