Eleanor is the only child of Colin Burkhart, a pure-blooded English wizard and Ayashe Young, a Native American woman that Colin met when he was seventeen whilst traveling after his graduation from Hogwarts. Over the course of a few months, they fell madly in love with each other, and Colin proposed on Ayashe's 18th birthday, much to his family's displeasure. He brought her back with him to England and she soon became pregnant with what they thought would be the first of many children they would have together. Unfortunately, not long after Eleanor's birth, Ayashe fell deathly ill. Colin's family took advantage of the couple's vulnerable state and began to exert their influence over them and their young child. The Burkharts were a pure-blood family of modest reputation that saw an opportunity in Eleanor. While her father was kept busy caring for her mother, they were her primary caregivers and groomed her to be the perfect heir to their line despite her blood status. They were pleased when her magical ability surfaced young, with her levitating toys and starting small fires whenever she would throw a tantrum. She currently lives with them in their family estate, while her father and mother live in Muggle London where Ayashe can receive treatment.
