x | Reducio ANELIA (Ah・nee・lee・yah) Anelia is a girl's given name that is typically used in Eastern Europe, especially as a variant of Aneliya/Anelia. This name carries a gentle and almost spiritual meaning, thus making it apt for a girl whose nature is gentle and kind but who has an inner drive to succeed. D'Aveline (Dah・veh・leen) D'Aveline surname has a unique and elegant French aristocratic ring to it, where the use of prefix "D'" means "of" or "from." The suffix "Aveline" is a very old European name and surname that has been linked to the names Aveline/Avelina, both of which have their origin from the Germanic root avi and were later modified through the French name Aveline, meaning hazelnut. Combined together, “Anelia D’Aveline” has a soft and elegant aura about it. While Anelia makes her look young and angelic, D’Aveline gives her an aura of an older European woman. This name suits her perfectly since she is a mild young girl with some Slytherin traits without being sly or evil. Reducio 沈 (Shěn) Meaning: to sink, deep, profound. 沈 (Shěn) is a classic feminine character traditionally associated with inner harmony, grace, and a pleasant, uplifting disposition. It brings a bright, joyful energy to the name, balancing the serious and deep nature of the first two syllables. It suggests an underlying resilience, charm, and an ability to find peace or joy even in challenging environments. 思 (Sī) Meaning: to think, consider, ponder, contemplate. 思 (Sī) stands for intelligence, mindfulness, and reflection. It denotes a character who is very thoughtful, observant, and reflective. This character symbolizes the possession of a good mind and wisdom; this character uses her wit to orient herself in the surrounding reality. 怡 (Yí) Meaning: happy, joyful, cheerful, harmony. 怡 (Yí) is a traditional female character with positive meanings of harmony, gracefulness, and a good mood. It adds light and joyful atmosphere to the whole name, balancing the serious and profound meaning of the previous two characters. |

As far as what our young lady might see in the Mirror of Erised, it can only be speculated; however, some of the possibilities are quite obvious: Anelia walking alongside the man whom she loves, both wearing rings on their hands, and having that look of contentment in their eyes. In the background is her family smiling with an approval she has long waited to see – for what could be better than loving without being disappointed?

The family D'Aveline is a branch of the famous Chinese wizarding clan Shen. Some fifty years before Anelia was born, the clan moved to Scotland and changed their name to D'Aveline so as not to face any racism in the British wizarding community. While they changed their name officially, the fact that they belong to a Chinese family is still their private family secret. The D'Avelines are rich aristocrats with inheritance, magnificent estates, and an impressive family history. The values of their family have always been traditional for Gryffindor, although for Anelia they became something different.

xx | As the only heiress of that generation, Anelia grew up in a privileged, controlled, and demanding environment. Since childhood, her parents attached great value to her education and wanted their daughter to be able and knowledgeable enough to live up to the family name in the future. Their education was rather comfortable, but at the same time, very strict. They provided their daughter with all kinds of opportunities to get an excellent education and demanded her to succeed in it. However, affection and approval depended on their ability to meet parental expectations. |
As Anelia grew older, her parents made the suggestion of marriage for the sake of her future. But she rejected the suggestion since she wanted to make decisions about her life by herself. Such behavior strained their relationship; now Anelia is emotionally and socially isolated from her family. However, being the only heiress to her father's title, she continued receiving financial support for her education. Despite whatever their relationship was, Anelia's parents never stopped providing for her education which was so important for her future.
Lucien is a calm, meticulous individual who holds that education, discipline, and competence are important to uphold the family’s status. He hardly shows any sign of affection, choosing to express his care through provision and assistance. He wishes to see Anelia grow up as a competent heir despite the cost to him personally. Seraphina is an astute lady whose elegance hides intense strength. Her concern about Anelia’s future stems from the belief that one can only be secure if they make proper decisions. She can show affection, but the demands she makes often limit her daughter’s chance to disobey. |

Anelia’s education is of paramount importance in her life going forward. Her family has high expectations for their heir, but she wants to learn enough to carve out her own path. In Hogwarts, she will try to capitalize on her academic success and show that she has the skills to decide where she will go in life. Also, she is of the Veela origin and belongs to the family with a mixed heritage. Being raised in an aristocratic family yet feeling like she does not belong according to conventional pure-blood traditions has affected her relationship with her family and her environment. Anelia also knows that one of her distant cousins will be attending Hogwarts, a tiny bit of familiarity in such an uncertain time of starting anew.
Prior to attending Hogwarts, Anelia studied at another school and became known there because of her outstanding scholastic abilities. She was ambitious and disciplined and could quickly comprehend anything hard. She had built up her reputation based on her academic successes. |

Being Veela: The Veela lineage of Anelia can be traced in her family for several generations, a lineage in which the blood of Veela had always been perceived as an integral part of their heritage. The heritage of Anelia had been passed from generation to generation and included not only unique beauty and innate grace but also the awareness that it comes with certain responsibilities. For Anelia’s family, the heritage of Veela was never just an appearance and admiration. It was something that required respect and certain amount of maturity to treat it with. There was always more in her ancestry that could be seen with eyes of other people, and it was all about the way she treated her heritage.
There was always something special about Anelia from the earliest years, and it did not concern just her appearance. She had unique elegance in her that was inseparable from her nature, and graceful manners, and unique appearance that could never fail to attract attention. But as she grew up, she started to realize that some of this attention was not necessarily about how she was as a person; some people would be charmed even before getting to know her properly, while others were captivated by the idea of something that they thought they knew without really knowing her.
This was because of her family background. Anelia was well-aware of the fact that Veela charm, both subtle and blatant, might affect the perception of people around her, which is why she learned to deal with this part of herself with the mind of a realist rather than that of an egotist. She did not think that she was doing great things by becoming the center of attention or that she was any better than those who did not have her Veela heritage. Instead, she realized that although beauty might change people's first impression of you, it can never guarantee love, trust, or respect. These are things that need to be gained from inside out.
As Anelia grew up, she started realizing the difference between admiration and understanding. While this attention can feel flattering due to the allure of her Veela bloodline, it can also raise doubts whether her acquaintances are interested in the real her or simply attracted by her unique features. She came to realize that those people are most precious to her who take the trouble to find out what kind of thoughts, aspirations and flaws she has instead of contenting themselves with their idealized image of her. She became aware that she should cherish sincere relationships and evaluate her acquaintances wisely rather than let herself be impressed by their admiration.
At the same time, Anelia is not inclined to hide or disown her Veela ancestry. It is an integral part of her identity and of the history of her family and its future. She understands the need to know more about her inherited abilities and their possible effect on other people, for she feels responsible for her lineage. Instead of letting her ancestry predetermine her, she tries to cultivate her identity independently from all those expectations. In conclusion, Anelia’s Veela lineage stands as both a link between her heritage and her future as well. She accepts what is special about her lineage without defining herself by them. As far as Anelia is concerned, what makes her a Veela goes beyond the power to turn heads. She sees the grace and awareness inherent in her Veela powers as what makes her unique and a Veela. While her family history may make an impact on how others see her, it is her own individuality that determines the impression she will leave.

FIOM: Her first act of magic took place on a calm night when she was sitting by herself in her bedroom. She held her grandmother’s broken necklace and wished that the necklace be made whole. In a flash, she noticed golden sparks flying around her fingertips. The necklace levitated and the broken chain fixed itself.
She exclaimed in amazement while looking at her hands. The books from her shelf were levitating, flowers were growing in an empty vase, and there was a blue glow filling the room. Terrified, she said, “Stop!” Everything came back to normal instantly.
She understood that something amazing had stirred up inside of her.
