People often take a double take when they see her and that unusual choppy blonde hair that looks like someone gave a child scissors and this was their creation. Her bangs often fall into her eyes, obscuring the peopleโ€™s view.

Sheโ€™s of medium height, a girl whoโ€™s 4'9", or five feet and four inches. Her smile is toothy, her lips always chapped. Her button nose and doe eyes add softness to her, making her seem like a delicate doll. Her hands are the most expressive feature of her, always using them when talking. A small hint of loneliness always seems to linger in her eyes, often going unnoticed by people.

๐™๐™„๐™Š๐™ˆ (๐™๐™ž๐™ง๐™จ๐™ฉ ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š ๐™Š๐™› ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™œ๐™ž๐™˜): Her first instance occurred when she was at her distant auntโ€™s house in Ashbury. Her parents had been out in Scotland, and since they had no living relative except the aunt in England, they had dropped her there.
Nicoleโ€™s aunt, Matilda, was a wielder of magic. A witch, who had quit living in the Wizard World and opted for the Muggle life. Yet she kept on using magic. Who knew little Nicole could set a chair on fire when denied her favorite toy, Mr. Snuggles? Apparently, no one. Everyone seemed baffled by this when her anger had made a chair erupt in flames.

Now, that would be considered a fire hazard for a 5-year-old, but her aunt was convinced Nicole Grayson was meant for bigger things. That she was meant for magic. And then, with much coaxing and cajoling from her auntโ€™s side, Nicoleโ€™s parents finally allowed her to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when she was older and much more mature.

๐™‹๐™š๐™ง๐™จ๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฎ: Sheโ€™s an introvert by nature. Too naรฏve for the big, bad world, sheโ€™s easily swayed and influenced by some kind words. Her love for numbers and statistics makes her a bit annoying since sheโ€™d start spewing random facts when nervous. Nicole is smart but, due to the fear of being laughed at, doesnโ€™t interact with other people. Sheโ€™s calm, with nervous energy when given caffeine. She can easily detect patterns, her mind literally working overtime by analyzing and storing away information.

Nicole is rather blunt and way too straightforward. She usually says things that are on her mind without sugarcoating them, making her unapproachable and awkward. Although she lacks physical affection, she's insanely loyal to the people she knows and cares about.

๐™ˆ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ก ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š: Nicole is mentally bright but emotionally guarded and inexperienced. Her biggest strength is her comfort with numbers. Her weakness is having a heart-felt conversation, something she will never have without her mental defenses going up. She is a rather sensitive kid, meaning that any small offensive thing would definitely crumble her. She is a major people-pleaser, as she cannot stand when people are mad at her.

๐˜ฝ๐™ž๐™ค๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™ฅ๐™๐™ฎ: Nicole came from a financially stable Muggle family from London. Her mother had a sister who is a witch. Aunt Matilda became one of the main characters in Nicoleโ€™s life. Nicole was the single child in the Grayson family, which often made her the centre of the universe for her parents.

Despite not being witches and wizards themselves, Nicoleโ€™s parentsโ€”Rory and Keithโ€”had never stopped her from going to her auntโ€™s house. In fact, they had encouraged it, after the initial protest. Being exposed to so many books from the beginning of her childhood (as far as she could remember), Nicole always stored up the facts she read once. Call it a photographic memory, but she called it her natural instinct. In a public school her parents sent her in, she was an exceptionally intelligent student who excelled with flying colours in Mathematics and Geography and general knowledge.

โ€œBright but too quietโ€ was what her grandparents often call her. They werenโ€™t wrong though.

Her favourite place in the whole, wide world was a treehouse her dad had built her in the woods in front of their house. She would be found there almost the entire time, unless some guest had come over or she was out. It was painted in pastel colours with a picture of a unicorn on the wooden door. There, she would often read stories, encyclopaedias or newspapers. Whatever reading material she got her hands on.

The thing about Nicole is that she is too shy to open up to people that easily. She keeps to herself, fading into the background. But once someone puts some efforts in getting to know her and she reciprocate, Nicole will attach herself to that person like a symbiont. She is reserved and quiet, with a sensitive heart and an emphatic mind.

A little bit of everything I love
