Before Hogwarts, Sia lived in a rural area of London with her pureblood father and muggle mother. Though she’d visit her extended family at times, with the pureblood side of her family approving of her halfblood status, Sia always felt closest to her parents than she did to anyone else in the world. They always made her feel dearly loved under their undivided attention, and always made sure that she had all she’d need. For that reason, Sia feels happy and confident in herself and her place in the world. She attended a muggle elementary school, where she made a few friends that she still speaks with sometimes. She is familiar with both the wizarding and muggle world, and grew feeling connected to the nature and customs of both worlds. She wants to stay connected with both parts of her heritage as she keeps growing. As a family, the Roses enjoy traveling during the holidays, so Sia got to see how large the world is outside of London. She loves her parents dearly, and they support her in all her goals. She hopes to pay them back for their kindness and care by doing good in her time away from them, and proving that she can be independent. Sia misses her family when she’s in Hogwarts, but she takes comfort in knowing that they’re proud of her for attending.

Sia went to a party with her parents in the English countryside when she was five years old. She was overwhelmed by the colorful lights, and accidentally made a few light bulbs break. The incident occurred among her mother’s muggle family, and was deemed an unlucky occurrence. Today, her parents and her look back at the incident and laugh.
