Jay Valkyrie | Slytherin | Second Year

Jay often is quiet and can be nearly nonexistent but will be outgoing around her friends and when doing her hobbies. Even though she's small she has quite a mouth on her, she can have a VERY sharp tongue when she wants to and especially when she's angry she doesn't think before she speaks and that can land her in unwanted trouble. Jay likes art, mainly painting and playing guitar (acoustic) she also likes fighting, she does MMA, boxing, kickboxing and Jujutsu but since she does so many she's not entirely an amazing star at any of them, she just does it for fun and exercise. Jay wants to do magical dueling but she is a bit nervous about it and wants to learn a bit more about it before fighting, even if its in a controlled environment. She also has an obsession with medicinal plants (non magical ones) she likes to collect them and grow them in her room, she has a whole ass garden on the kitchen bench that Sunny is PISSED about but then when they argue Jay reminds her that Sunny leaves her star charts everywhere, one time a star chart turned up in the dishwasher. Sometimes tech likes to act up because of the magic, e.g. elevator stops working, wifi goes down, phones glich.

She has lived in London all her life, having been born in Westminster Hospital, Jay lives with her mum and her mums pet snake Rusty. Her dad (Muggle) left a few months after she was born but Jay doesn't let that bother her, all she knows is that he moved to Tokyo and she has seen one photo of him. Jay's mum is named Sunny (Muggle born Witch) and is 31 years old and has long brown hair the same colour as Jay's and green eyes, she has pale skin but she's littered with freckles from when she travelled around in her youth, she works as an Astronomist but has published a few muggle books as a hobby. Jay calls her mum Sunny because she just prefers to. They live in an apartment and don't see each other because Sunny is often sleeping during the day (hence the night job) and Jay is at school all day, they only really see each other at around seven pm to ten pm when Jay goes to bed and sometimes at three am or something like that Jay will get up for some microwave popcorn and coffee (yes she is insane and dumb) and Sunny is drawing out star charts in the kitchen, then she'll give Jay a lesson on astronomy that Jay will fall asleep to.

Her only friend is Winnie Anbell who is a muggle. They like to make music together because Winnie plays violin. Winnie is average height with her brown and blonde streaked hair down to just before her waist, either in two messy pigtails or just out, Winnie has blue eyes and olive skin and likes to wear lace dresses that make her look like a fairy and sew her own clothes often using Jay as a mannequin (With Jay's consent). Winnie is the more sophisticated of the two and likes to tease Jay about her recklessness. Winnie likes to sew, play violin, black tea, 40’s music, old vinyls and gold jewellery. Jay teaches her some MMA when Winnie feels like it otherwise she'll just fall on the floor and die. Winnie's mum and dad don't really like Jay's mum nor Jay herself thinking they are a bad influence on Winnie. It's actually the opposite before Jay met Winnie she was a HUGE snob because that's how her parents raised her.

Jay had to tell Winnie she was going to boarding school overseas when she go her letter from Hogwarts, she sends owls to her mum who sends the letters to Winnie through muggle post for her since they can't use owls because of the secrecy law.


Jay was 10 and it was her first day at school, she had had insults thrown at her all day and finally when she was at the bubblers and someone pushed her head into the bubbler and yelled horrible things at her so she made the bubblers explode and spray water everywhere, she got a concussion from the metal that exploded outwards and her head being slammed down, she avoids that particular area of the school now.
