Roslyn was the fourth born in a family of 7 pure-blood children on a crisp and cold winter morning in Edinburgh, February 24 2014 to her parents Alaisdair-a gryfindor dragon handler-and Lucianne who went to beauxbaton as a bellefuille and is a recitalist.
After Alaisdair's father- Grandpa Carlilse who Roslyn was dearly close to died Alaisdair took over the family antique and jewelry shop and settled down.
Her maternal grandmother-Odette Brunaue is a renowned French painter, and her grandfather, Alois Brunaue works in the ministry. The two live in Evreux in Normandy, France.

She currently lives with 6 siblings, Hugo(17) Edward(who is a squib) and Odette(14) Vincent(13), herself(11), Adeline (7) and Francis(3), her father Alaisdair, her mother, Lucianne, and her paternal grandmother Rosalind.

The family has good money but they aren't necessarily wealthy, but they are rich in love, music and storytelling, and have enough for what they need..
her first instance of magic happened when she was practicing the violin with her mother but couldn't get the notes right in her anger the violin strings broke in a dischordant and jarring note- her mother looked up at her and simply raised an eyebrow before doing the reparo charm on the violin and smiled widely, her older brother Vincent was in the room and he grinned at her. Roslyn was embarrased of course and looked down but continued the melody and her mother and brother continued playing along
