𓆗 HISTORY 𓆗 The Sangthong Family name may be unfamiliar to the general public, to those with tainted blood they were merely another pureblood family who simply faded from existence. To those truly worthy of note, the downfall of the Sangthong's is one of tragedy. A cautionary tale to other purebloods, new and old alike. You see, during the 1960s the Sangthong family was in their prime. Wealth, immense. Status? Unquestionable. They had allies in more than a handful of other Pureblood families, and that made them a hot topic on their own. But, like Icarus, someone had to fly too close to the sun. A thorn in their perfect garden, a betrayer, Judas themselves. Greed built their empire, and greed was their ruination. A name so heavily scrubbed from their walls that no one even remembers who or what they were anymore. This wretch was their undoing, their hunger for more. It, we shall call it. A rat not worthy of a name, It had the flawed grace of the Sangthong's head at the time. It took advantage of this, using their connections to cover it in its revolting ooze of avarice. Gambling, black market connections, trafficking. All in the head of the family's name, unbeknownst to him or anyone else. It continued on for an uncomfortably long time before the actions finally caught up to the Sangthong's. The Ministry, debt collectors, and even their own fellow purebloods were soon knocking at their door. It was ugly, it was grim, it was devastating. All of their wealth and status, gone in the snap of a finger. Everything they worked so hard to build up, gone just like that. Even those they considered their closest allies turned their backs on them, even their friends the Vinogradov didn't have the time nor resources to help them. It was heartbreaking, it tore the Sangthong's apart literally and figuratively. It drove some of their prouder members to take their own lives, and others to fully detach themselves from the Sangthong name. A mass majority of them went into hiding, turned into wandering nomads that now carry a dead name that only earn sneers from those that even bothered to know the history. Now they are almost entirely lost to time, with former head's leaving their journals with important information hidden away. The lost hope was for the Sangthong's to rise again after their disgrace, but none dared to relight the flames. Until today. August 1st, 2014. The world was blessed with the birth of a flame reborn in human flesh, the Sangthong's missing piece that would reunite them once more. Chada "Anogg" Sangthong. Despite how heavy her destiny was, unbeknownst to her at the time, Chada's parents were unaware of the person they brought into the world at the time. Arthit and Koh Sangthong were polar opposites of their child. Whereas she was headstrong and bared her teeth easily, they were calm, relaxed. Free-spirited nomads who loved to travel all over Ireland with their group, thriving off of the land. Even in all their "sin", they were still a pureblooded group, only interacting with the magical world and accepting other like-minded purebloods within their group. For a blessed few years since her birth, Chada forced herself to attempt and try to enjoy their way of life, despite feeling like she was missing something. It wasn't until her 10th summer did it all finally click. The Group, as Chada dubbed them, stumbled upon an old and long since forgotten home in their explorations. The Group had said the "vibes" were "off" and none had approached, except Chada. Something in her chest pulled her to get closer, and when her parents weren't looking, she was already climbing the vines and entering the decrepit home. It was full of dust and smelled absolutely horrid, but she pushed forward. Deeper and deeper into the house she ventured, until she discovered a dusty study. Inside this study, Chada felt as if her life was changed, like she had found the missing piece. Inside that study was the long-forgotten history of the Sangthong family, preserved with the magic that they once held proudly. No one could pull Chada from that room that day, she ignored her parent's calls for her for at least 3 whole days while she read their forgotten history, all the way down to That Day. When she'd actually left the rotting building, Chada had a vow in her heart. She wanted her family to be the ones to restore their glory, to rise the Sangthong's back-up once more. It was a tense discussion that last for months on, their daughter stubborn and unrelenting, now even demanding they call her Anogg instead. It was a rebirth, she reasoned, a chosen name to shred herself of the nomad life she detested so much, and somewhat of a boundary set between child and parent. Arthit and Koh eventually came to realize it was a lost cost to stop this ideation when Chada's Hogwart's letter came in. She wasn't going to be stopped. |

Reducio 𓆗 LOOKISM 𓆗 Chada commands attention the moment she walks into a room. She towers with statuesque confidence at 5'2. She might not show it, but she enjoys using this to intimidate others when words aren't enough. Her skin is a smooth, beautiful and flawless umber, glistening under the sun as if she was carved from gold itself. Her hair, her treasure, is waist length and full of bouncy, coily curls. These curls hid her most distinctive mark, a birthmark on the back of her neck that vaguely resembled a crown. Her eyes? Often described like an endless black void that sucked you in, that possessed you and made you want to never turn away. Every strut was crafted to exude power, her head held high and the ghost of a sneer on her lips. 𓆗 PERSONALITY 𓆗 Chada is someone who exudes intensity from her every pore effortlessly. Her gaze was piercing and magnetic, often calling for attention at just a single glance. She enjoys this immensely, practically preens under the spotlight like a well groomed Cheshire cat. People feel their energy before they even speak, low and steady hum of pride and anger just beneath the surface. The girl doesn't think she shows much emotion on her face, but oh is she wrong. Every single chord is shown on that stubborn face showcasing her judgement to the world. Uncontrollable and unmistakably full of herself, she doesn't care about how those she perceives as beneath her regards her in their opinions. Fiercely independent, Chada trusts no one on a personal level. Her pride only allows her to see people for what they can provide for her, at least right now. Her eyes shine too brightly with the goals for her family and destiny to see past the fog of her dreams. Now, with all this going on in her head, you might think this girl has some kind of control over her emotions. That's where you're wrong. Chada likes to pretend she has the high-class of her fellow purebloods, but the truth is she never got the formal training. She was forced to be a wanderer with free-spirited parents who didn't dare to tell her no. She's like a wild street cat brought in from the cold, hissing and untrusting with unruly anger issues that seem to bare their ugly head when things don't go her way. Spoiled, but not given what she truly wants. Outside of the unwavering aggressiveness, Chada is just a girl who seeks redemption. And beneath that, a girl who likes skincare. A girl who loves the scent of tea in the morning, sunlight on her bronze skin, and a fresh coat of nail polish (with her own designs). A girl who hates her birth name, loathes it like it was a plebian who dared to breathe in her presence. Not many know until she tells them, but the young girl actually felt like calling her by her birth given first name was practically a slap in the face. No, she preferred her own chosen name. Anogg. And when her story ends, Chada will be dead and long gone, and Anogg will shine atop her destined throne. Reducio 𓆗 FIRST INSTANCE OF MAGIC 𓆗 It was like a boiling pot that was waiting to overflow. Everything had changed since Chada had discovered her family's past, tensions were high and relationships were strained. Arithit had to tread carefully around his own child, who had opted to self isolate herself with those wretched books and ignored everyone else. She'd even ignored little ole Mary, and he thought those two were like peas in a pod! Now, don't get Arthit wrong, he wanted his daughter to do whatever made her happy in life, because he loved her so very much! But, there comes a time where even must set his foot down, or at the very least attempt to. What they didn't say was that Chada got her way all the time. And telling her no now of all times? Yeah, he was gonna need all the luck in the world. With a heavy heart, and knees bent together almost sheepishly, Arthit entered Chada's tent. The space was filled to the brook with all kinds of books, family records he assumed. As he expected, he found his lovely daughter situated in the middle, face buried into another dusty book. He walked up carefully, slowly, as if approaching a wild animal. "Ahh, my darling Chada...." Said girl flinched at the name and looked up over the brim of her book with a heavy glare. Arthit flinched, it was embarrassing honestly. "I-I was wondering if you planned to leave your tent today? You know, little Mary was asking for you and--" He was interrupted before he could even finish, deflating almost instantly. "I'm not going out to play, Father. I need quiet to read. Leave me!" Chada was dismissive, practically waved her own father off like he were a mere fly. Normally, Arthit wouldn't have put up a fight after that, and would have gone to just whine to his wife about their daughter being a big meanie, again. But, he could see the changed look in his child's eyes, and it frightened him if he was being honest. They were already vastly different since her birth, but he always had some hope that eventually it would change and Chada would accept their lifestyle. All he could see, instead, was continuous pushback. It hurt his heart and he couldn't help but lash out like a child. "Chada! The past is the past for a reason! Now, I am your dada, and I command you to cut this misbehavior out this instant!" Silence. Pure, unbelievable silence filled the air after Arthit's outburst. It took the sound of him taking a step back onto a book for it to be broken. Chada shot up from her sitting position and hissed at her father. She was livid, her eyes narrowed in unbridled anger. "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?" A spark shot across the room before suddenly the books around her were pushed back by a pulse wave that seemed to emit from her. It stunned Chada but Arthit looked the most affected. He knew that since she was fully aware of herself now, he truly had lost his one and only child to the life they had given up. |
