1st Year Ravenclaw - Sienna Miller
Full Name: Sienna Miller
House: Ravenclaw
Age: 11
School Year: 1st Year
Species: Human
Wand: 22,9 cm chestnut wood and snallygaster heartstring
History/Background Story:
Sienna was born 17th May of 2014 in Melrose, Scotland to her father Edwin Miller who is a British wizard from the wild coast of Cornwall, and her mother Jo Miller who is a Muggle historian from New York with an unshakable fascination for myth and folklore. Their meeting had been a fortunate accident — or, as Edwin liked to say, the inevitable pull of destiny. Both of them had been immersing themselves in the roots of ancient European legends, unearthing stories, among others, of dragons, fae, and lost kingdoms. Very soon, what had been merely academic collaboration turned into the time of the day when they could argue over tea and parchment maps, neither getting the fact that the other’s “legends” might be just that … words. Once the truth was out, instead of fear, they got fascinated; Jo’s academic curiosity was at par with Edwin’s and with that they embarked on a journey which was a fragile balance of two different worlds.
The way Sienna was brought up was that her mum and dad were two different complements of one whole nature, historians who in turn were wizards at history. While the mother stocked the house with dusty tomes, and artifacts, and hand-drawn family trees linking forgotten things to the reality, father’s room was filled with enchanted atlases that could be read by opening them as they whispered the stories.
Her very first magic signs were not her big actions but the unusual things that happened around her. When she sizzled with joy, compasses had a habit of going crazy in that they would point to different directions at the same time; pages of the books her mother kept would do themselves in a manner that they give up long-lost viewing passages; and at times, the ink on her dad’s charts would glow helping the paths to be visible that are other could not see except her. However, the parents were not worried, rather were pleased, for these were the proofs that the girl has the blood of both sides in her from which strong heritage is flowing. In fact, the child was the one who would have been torn between the two worlds but would have been the one who, with her bright and peaceful inquisitiveness, would have made the connection.
First Instance of Magic
By seven, the unthinkable happened while was on holiday in cornwall with her family they were laughing and having fun, and then she accidentally brought a family photo to life. One moment, the picture showed everyone smiling stiffly on the beach; the next, the figures in the photograph began to move, waving and laughing as the sea breeze seemed to spill out of the frame.

Sienna Miller came into this world in the town of Melrose, the kind of town where you would hardly notice the amazing things because they are right in front of you. Her dad, Edwin Miller, a calm and patient genius, was quite a surprise when he married Jo, a Muggle historian whose obsession with the past usually meant the house being packed with maps, old books, and quirky relics. Sienna was blessed to have been brought up amidst both the magical world and Muggle world with all its age-old stuff that gave her an unusual amount of curiosity for a girl of her age.
As far as she could remember, Sienna had always seemed to be an odd among the two worlds. At the age of five, she made her best-loved toy owl fly over her bed, throwing her into a great fright and her father into uncontainable joy. Jo, the sensible one, would be putting her in her place for the act of “leaving mess in the air,” although she would be secretly writing notes about these magical happenings to her future studies. Sienna found out that magic in a completely Muggle world necessitated being very careful and very quiet.
Her life in the town of Melrose was a mix of the normal and the magical. She would mornings go with her mom to the museum or the library where the both of them would pore over the old finds with great amazement. She would interrogate the history with so much interest that it would always end with long discussions on people and events and the stories history left behind. At the afternoons, her dad would be giving her lessons on charms and would come to her backyard with all kinds of magic to show that magic was not just for fun but also a great responsibility.
The pace of Sienna’s magical growth was very rapid. At the age of eleven, she was able to do candle lighting with a wave of her wand, call for small things, and even cause a tiny charm to glow. Alongside all this, she fully adhered to the need for secrecy; the Melrose folks were nice but totally in the dark concerning the magical realm. Sienna would often get into secret spots in the attic or go off to some secluded woodland section to practice magic.
Her existence in Melrose was peaceful and yet not without small heroic deeds. She was very much into wandering around ancient sites with her mom, picturing the lives of the people of long ago. In the house, sometimes, she would take a cheeky peek into her dad’s magical diaries, and the stories of wizards and witches that influenced the world never failed to captivate her. It was at these times when all the conflict of her dual heritage was pulling her i.e. her mom’s love of knowledge and her dad’s magical inquisitiveness, but strangely they were not fighting but rather blending into the person she was becoming.
Relationships were an intermingling of magic and everyday life. Sienna had a handful of good Muggle friends from school in Melrose, they were crazy about her fantasy and dauntless attitude and she in turn had to be wary of not disclosing her powers. At home, she would be doing some spells and messing around with charms, the thought of the day when she would be at Hogwarts, free to do magic and meet other witches and wizards like her, would always make her happy.
Even at her young age, Sienna had a grasp of one very important point: there was no need for her to pick one side over the other. She was the one who could do both; magic and Muggle, history and magic, be curious and cautious at the same time. And as she was getting ready for the adventures that were far away from Melrose, she had with her the lessons learnt from both her mom and dad: a passion for learning, a love and respect for the past, and the bravery to be the one to decide her own future.

PERSONALITY
Reducio
Edwin is a deeply reflective and insightful individual, the intellectual who, rather than let his brilliance shine, dedicates himself to the study of magic with the same passion and patience as he would a single, ancient parchment or a small vial. His introspective nature and reticence to voice his opinions or seek the spotlight keep him quite distant from the crowd, preferring the silent company of scrolls and potions over the more lively activities that other people normally seek. Those who know him well find him to be a polite and good-natured man of quite a few merits but who still is somewhat hesitant in openly expressing his feelings, always behind an appearance of quiet and calmness.
One of the main characteristics of Edwin's humor is his poor, sometimes misunderstood, but ever-present dry wit. His cleverness does not consist of a raucous or a gloriously timed joke but is found in the very understated phrasing of an insight or in a carefully timed remark to which those present suddenly get amused and surprised at once. Even when tense situations abound, Edwin is always capable of keeping his cool which is an enviable trait as well as a source of discomfort for some of his detractors—he is the sort of fellow who, at the height of mayhem, will not hesitate to correct a misquoted spell before making his escape..
Edwin's magical outlook distinguishes him from the majority of his peers. According to him, magical resources, whether they are relics, books, or energies, are glorious examples of heritage that need to be guarded, kept, and studied, not thrown around recklessly or consumed to facilitate life. This love for purity and enlightened ways often puts him against the more practical Ministry officials who want things to be done in a certain way but above all at a certain speed and with a guaranteed success rate. The idealistic differences between them never become a heated debate or an outburst, as Edwin chooses his words with great care, debating not with his feelings but with his logic, yet it is impossible not to tell that he is strong-willed.
On the rare occasions that Edwin would go out of his way to seek out the company of others, he is never short of trusted friends. He is by no means a loud-voiced, outspoken supporter, but rather the type of person who will always have your back, a source of calm, wisdom, and insight, always thinking several moves ahead. Nevertheless, his love for isolation and emotional remoteness make him baffling for a lot of people—a man who is more in his mind and heart than outside in his surroundings.

BACKGROUND
Reducio
Born in St. Ives, Cornwall, was where the windswept coastal town, Edwin Miller, came into the world. The first years of his life were filled with the smell of the sea, the sight of the moors, and the subtle presence of old magic that seemed to be part of the land. His mother, Margaret Miller, was a non-magical person who taught at the local primary school - a woman full of patience and a passion for the English and history of literature. His father, Thomas Miller, was a wizard who held the position at the Ministry's Department of Magical Transportation and was the head of the maintenance of the international Floo Network connections.
Edwin learned very early that he had to be careful when he was in between the magical and the Muggle worlds as he grew up in a household that was a mixture of the two. It was common for the conversations at the dinner table to flow from school lessons to spell theory, from addition to the safe way to do an apparition. While his mother taught him the loveliness of logic and learning, his father was always there to encourage his inquisitiveness and to make him have a deep respect for magical traditions. Through this special upbringing, Edwin developed a deep connection to equilibrium — between marvel and logic, between the mysterious and the mundane.
As a little boy, he showed signs of his interest in things of the old times — stones that had signs no one could understand, seashells he was sure were “enchanted” and even stories about old wizards that people did not want to be heard when they were telling it in Cornish folklore. When he was seven, he made his first performance of magic by accident: he did the family heirloom restoration, which was a small glass globe that had a bright little flame without the use of a wand or even words, just by wishing it intact. His father, who was so surprised, called it a “memory-linked magic” sign.
Edwin, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was placed in Ravenclaw, which encapsulated his smartness and silent determination. He was very good in ancient runes, charms, and magical theory. For this, he spent the whole night in the library reading very old books that no one else did. Very soon, he was already well known among professors that he is very talented to understand old magical languages, and he plans spells the same way as their spell structures.
Edwin had a great opportunity to work under Professor Emeric Vaughn, who is famous for his debated journeys into lost wizarding territories and for being a magical archaeologist after completing his studies. Through Vaughn’s guidance, he sojourned around Britain and northern Europe, researching pre-modern wandlore, lost enchantments, and the safe keeping of cursed objects.
Edwin, still a young man, is the curator and the magical archivist for the Department of Magical Artifacts at the Ministry of Magic. He is deeply involved in the work of the archives, where he not only manages and protects the items but also, at times, makes them safe from people who are too dangerous.
Even though he has been able to establish a successful career and has earned the admiration of people around him, Edwin is still a bit of an enigma a man who is torn between the two worlds of logic and magic, and is forever bound by his brain, tormented by history and still holding onto the faith that the past is the key to the future of magic.

Jo is a person who instinctively looks back at things not because she misses the "good old days," but because she is truly and deeply curious about the untold stories that the past holds. She has a unique skill of bringing to light the lives and voices that the world has left behind or forgotten: the people who have been pushed aside, the ones who were normal, and those who were the unnoticed extraordinary. For her, this is even more than just a scholarly exercise occupying her time—it gives her real pleasure. She is most successful during the discovery phase, particularly when she is going through old archives and fragile documents, stitching together bits and pieces into a thing of both clarity and value.
One of the peculiar traits of Jo is the fact that she is very careful and she have an almost “detective” instinct that guide her. If you entrust to her a very mysterious footnote, or a very old picture, or even a little-known name, she will search for its roots with an unflagging accuracy. She never does her research superficially. She is methodical, unyielding, and navigated by a very strong moral compass that guides her in the way she interacts with the past and the people in it.
Jo is very smart and fast in her thinking—she is quick to come up with a logic and even quicker to raise a doubt. However, the thing that really makes her standout is when she combines this brash sharpness of mind with a compassionate and down-to-earth philosophy of life. She doesn't really care for theories that cannot be grounded in reality. For Jo, historical research is not about big, triumphant stories or the ideas of the think tank radicals; it’s about real people—actually living people, their first-hand accounts, local people’s movements and the little-known truths that are closest to your heart. And she is convinced that this is how history is at its most vibrant and its most honest.
Her deadpan humor has become a legend among her circle of friends. She is loved for it and for her quick wit as well as her ability to make a complex point in a very short and snappy manner with a nicely-timed, low-key final touch. It is the use of intellect and jokes that makes her not only as good as a tough competitor but also as pleasant as a friend.
Additionally, Jo has an unassuming self-assurance that resurfaces in her opposition to the prevailing historical narratives. She is not someone who does it for the sake of it or to get a pat on the back - she does this because she cares. When truths that are conventionally accepted do not stand up under the light of research, she is the first one to question them, often turning the whole view to another angle unknowingly.
Although she usually works askance, conducting research on her own and so completely engulfed in her process that people say she cannot be found, Jo is quite the opposite when it comes to surprising a room. Her enthusiasm first hand is a great pull irrespective of whether it is in a lecture hall or a small seminar. She manages to attract people through her clearness, her profundity, and the strong sense of mission that Stoic philosophy gives her work.
Finally, Jo’s fundamental belief in history as a force for good, if honestly and rigorously dealt with, supportive of a future better than today’s, is evident. She isn’t a fool, though. She knows that there will always be a certain amount of resistance to any kind of social or intellectual change and that confronting the stories we inherit from the past is a complex matter. Still, she is firm in her view that progress, if not real, is at least a step closer to it when you deal with the past as it was and not as you want it to be.

Background
Reducio
Jo Miller was a native of Brooklyn, New York, a lively area where the aged brownstones stood right next to the lively markets and corner cafés. Since she was a young child, she couldn’t help but be fascinated by the tales the city's buildings held and how the layers of history mingled with daily life. She as well was drawn to the idea of how individual memory and public history merged because of her years of playing in her grandparents' attic and sketching neighborhood landmarks.
She went on to get her Bachelor of Arts in History at Columbia University and made a name for herself with a research paper on immigrant communities and urban development. As so, Jo didn't hesitate to go further and earn her Ph.D. in American Urban History. Her studies were around social movement, immigration, and the transformation of the role of women in urban areas of the 20th century.

Sienna's First Year at Hogwarts

Sienna’s heart was pounding when she got on the Hogwarts Express. Her chest was filled with tightly packed books and the notebooks that were full of her sketches and ideas. Considering her, the sorting hat said in a low voice:
"Ah... intelligent, inquisitive, eager to learn... yes, in Gryffindor you could do well, but your mind... your mind is craving for knowledge, insight, and comprehension... Ravenclaw would fit you the best".
Sienna beamed. "Ravenclaw", she said softly, and the hat's voice in her head was, "Yes... a keen mind, a quick wit... you will fly here".
Ravenclaw Tower with its winding stair and bright, book-lined common room was her new home. In no time, she made friends with other first-years who were as crazy for puzzles, books, and debating difficult questions as she was.
First Year Fun:
Charms class: Sienna was very good in charсms. She tried out new wand movements quietly on her own and from time to time she would come up with slight variations of the already existing spells without anyone realizing it.
Potions: Even though she was cautious, she occasionally went off the beaten path—her mixtures made for both the raising of eyebrows and low tones of admiration.
Flying lessons: It is true that she was not a thrill-seeker but she took pleasure in the accuracy and control aspect of broom riding.
Library time: She was in the Ravenclaw Library for hours and there she dug deep into the knowledge of magical creatures, potions theory, and obscure spells.
Sienna figured out her playful side too: she once magically caused a group of quills to have heated discussions amongst themselves, and a classmate was laughing so hard that he couldn’t stop. By the time the year had come to an end, she had already started a little collection of magical wonders and notebooks, like, true clever, inquisitive, and quietly daring, a Ravenclaw to keep an eye on, was the reputation she had built up.
