Physical Description:

Magnolia is a slim eleven-year-old, standing at 4'6". She has blue-gray eyes, and naturally blonde hair. She has light skin that burns easily in the sun. And if she's out in the sun too long, she gets freckles all over her face. She has a small, light scar on her left jawline about the size of a dime. She got that scar from a biking accident, but she'll probably tell tales of something cooler. She isn't a fan of make-up(at least, not yet). She has a silver locket around her neck, and a silver ring from her grandmother on her left middle finger.

Mental Description:

Magnolia never seems to be without her trademark bright smile. She's a bit shy when you first meet her, but with kindness, she blossoms. She's quite sensitive but hides that, and she doesn't always think things through properly. Maggie's not very book-smart, but that doesn't mean she won't try! She's a baker at heart and hopes to be a nurse one day, magical or not.

Biography:

Magnolia, although she is a Half-Blood, actually has two non-magical parents: her moms. Her birth mother, who was a Muggle, had a short romantic encounter with a wizard, who didn't entertain their relationship for more than a week. When she discovered she was pregnant, she was not up to the task of taking care of a child, and surrendered Magnolia to foster care. And Magnolia's birth father... well... he was wholly uninteresting in being a dad in any capacity, and essentially never bothered to look for Maggie so that he could continue enjoying his own bachelor life.

She was soon fostered and adopted by a non-magical couple in Wales, Ellis and Holland Laurellion. Ellis works as a non-magical detective, while Holland currently works as a nurse. They had always wanted a child of their own, and when they began fostering Magnolia, it was almost like destiny. Magnolia's joy and whimsy was exactly what brought light to their small home. Growing up, Magnolia was the kind of kid who only had a handful of friends here and there. She was shy, and never seemed to be able to hold onto long-lasting friendships. She was often watched after school by her grandmother on Holland’s side, Catrina, who ran a tiny but quaint bakery. It was she who made Maggie fall in love with baking. So although she was an only child, she was never lonely and was always surrounded by love. Of course, no one knew what was about to come…

First Instance of Magic:

Magnolia had been a seemingly normal, non-magical child. Nothing out of the ordinary ever occurred, and it looked like her underlying powers might never manifest. But on the day before her tenth birthday, Ellis and Holland were absolutely flabbergasted when they found Maggie trying to peek at her wrapped presents, which appeared to float at times. A visit from a Hogwarts staff member soon came, and the whole world burst right open for their small family.
