When Olive was born, her mother died. A life for a life. Her mother had left her father a note explaining how she was a witch and their daughter had a chance at being a witch too. Oliver's father was discusted. Magic? Pft! He looked at the baby girl in his arms like one might a pile of trash. He was debating leaving the child on an orphange door step, or better yet, leaving her at the hospital for them to deal with the new born baby girl. But whatever the case, he choose to keep baby Olive . This man was going to try and make sure Olivernever knew about the wizarding world and with this, the man believed that no magic would spark from this young girl. Not. A. Drop.

A couple years later, when Olive was 3, she got a step-mother. And she loved her very much. She had no kids of her own so she was happy to care for Olive. But she soon got in a divorce with Olive's father and left. She had kindly offered to take Olive with her but her father shook his head. What would she do if she found out about magic? Olive had watched this, silently, and quietly. Like the mother she had never known, she to, was gone. Oliver stayed in the small room she had for days, heart broken.

The father and Olive never talked and Olive got quite good at keeping to herself around her father. She was sent to a boarding school because her father believed, this would keep the magic from poisoning her. There she learned how to make friends and talk to others. For once in her life, she felt happy and appreciated.

But, all that changed in 2027, on Olives 7th birthday. After her FIOM she ran away from home to get away from her dad, who's yard did she land on? The Randensmith's. Olive, crying explained everything to them about her dad, about magic because she didnn't know the rule of not telling anyone and they took her in like a daughter. Olive was lucky she had landed on a family on wizards and witch's yard. Both Tianna and Ellie were 14 at this time and they cared for Olive very much, being very protective of her. Finally, Olive had peace and a loving family in her life.

Olive had just turned seven and, was celebrating alone like every year. Her father had forgotten like he always does and was on a date with some woman. He came home though early at around seven pm. Olive walked down the stairs to him and spoke the most words she had spoken to him in awhile. "It's my birthday." She said, staring into his eyes. "Can we have cake?"

He looked shocked, "Cake, it's not your birthday!"

"Yes it is," She tried again. "July 16th, It's July sixteenth today Daddy, I'm seven."

"I know when your birthday is child and it's not today!" He was fuming mad. But Olive was fustrated too. It was her birthday. Every record said it was. She stared at the table in front of her, tears in her eyes that her own father couldn't remember her birthday, when suddenly, a cake appeared on the table. It was frosted midnight blue, her favorite color and said Happy Birthday Olive! in icing on it She stared at it. Her father stared at it, his face beet red. "To your room, now" He said.

Young Olive didn't understand, a cake had appeared out of nowhere! Was it a gift from God? A gift for her since her own father couldn't think twice about his daughter? She didn't know, until the letter. Her father let her have the letter, explaining her mother was a witch, then basically stopped caring for her. No food, nothing, so, Olive decides to run away.
