Backstory (Pre-Hogwarts):
Azzure grew up as an only child in a wealthy pure-blood family. From a young age, she became accustomed to being alone in the mansion with her servants since her parents were often busy with work and only came home in late hours of the night. Growing up, she didnโt have a lot of people she could talk to. This was further exacerbated by the fact that because she was homeschooled; often being taught by teachers that were paid to come to the her house, though Azzure never truly listened to them. Even as a child, she got the sense that her childhood was different. She knew no world outside of the manor she felt trapped in. At night sheโd stare out into the window and dream about how the sky would look like during the day, would the blue skies be as vibrant as they were in the text books. Would they be filled with clouds or as clear as summer days, will flocks of birds fly freely in the open sky, or will storm clouds come and thunder fill the world with rain. However no matter how much she dreamed, she knew that because her eyes are naturally more sensitive to light, she can never look up into the sky.
It was during this time in her life that she began to take an interest in painting. For hours on end sheโd sit in a room, canvas in hand and paint until the sun turned the room into a golden hue. Sheโd obsess over every minuet detail, bringing to life something sheโd only ever seen in her mind. On the white canvas she painted blue skies and pretend that she was flying amidst the clouds in the air. There were no such thing as boundaries set up by her condition when she painting her imagination.
But as she was getting used to the feeling of living her life in this content bubble she born in, her parents came home one night earlier than usual. When Azzure went to go greet them, they had only sat her down and told her that it was time she interacted with people her age. In all honesty, Azzure didn't remember all that was said in that conversation, all she knew was one day she was sitting in her room painting the sky as it painted the sky gold and then when she opened her eyes she was in a car of a woman she had never met, going to a house she would be living in for the 2 years. Azzure would later find out that this woman's name is Mei, and was her mothers best friend that she had met during her Hogwarts days.
Azuure first months in her new living situation can be most accurately described as a a fledgeling learning how to stand. It was new not being the only one in the house. For one, Mei had a daughter; Yume, was her name. Though she was younger than Azzure but that didn't make her any less of an annoying presence especially when she just wanted to pain in peace. Secondly, she had to adjust to the culture shock that out of her mansion, no one will be outside the door just incase she'll need something. She's never known anything other than the suffocating walls of the house she was born in so to suddenly be catapulted in such a free and less stuffy world, though it wasn't bad, it was also hard to get used to.
However life wasn't always that bad, it was nice to have somebody to talk to. Though she could be a pain at times, Yume had a special talent of making boring days less uneventful and making Azzure laugh. It was nice to be able to learn how to be independent away from the spotlight and eyes that seemed to surround her 24/7 when Azzure had lived in the mansion. Mei's husband, who happend to be a muggle-born showed Azzure muggle media and shows. And though the excessive violence at times caused her to wrinkle her nose, it was fun. It was also because of them that Azzure was able to go watch her first broom racing match.
On the eve of her 10th birthday and a week before she would be sent back to her old life in the mansion, Mei and her family took Azzure to her first broom racing match. Though at first she was a bit uncomfortable with the amount of noise and people. The worry faded away the night went on. Before long, she felt herself become encapsulated in the match, her eyes trailing the broom racers, studying their movements as they served through the air.
They're flying..."
She could feel the way the wind gushed whenever they flew past. It was like she was watching a sacred dance. Her soul leaped with joy as the wining team won, but more than that she was filled with the deep drive of want. She wanted to be there, to fly in the sky like them and be so utterly free. This was a day she would never forget, not even after months had gone by since then and she was back in the lonely walls of her birthplace. At night when she closed her eyes, Azzure could still remember how it felt to be among the cheering crowd, eyes wide as she watched how effortlessly these people flew.
