Yakim Nëlo | First Year | Gryffindor

Born in Scotland, at Perth but far from the civilization, in a mansion surround by a big forest with a open wide field at the front of the house. Yakim never really have the chance to interact with a lot of people outside off his pure-blood family, even less when his family business make them go out of the country. He doesn't really mind it, it just give him more time to wandering in the wood with a bag and a notebook notating all the magical creature and plant he encounter to categorize them later on. His interest in that field wasn’t coincidental, his whole family history was know for being a Magizoolozgis and a proud one. he can remember all the encounter he had with a magical creature in his five first year in constant traveling with his family. It was so fascinating that he knew he would fallow their footstep . Thanks to his family business, they have foster some magical beast, giving him a chance to analyze them more closely.

Since he was one of the younger of five children he didn’t have the responsibility of one day owning the business or the family name unlike his older brother and his more older sister but he still like to take off their burden with as much help he can give. They all gladly accept each time.

He was homeschool and teach by is family in the domain they all excelled. His father for his vast knowledge on many magical creature and plant, his mother for the Magic history, His older brother on dragonnologist and his other older sister Édeor on some small charm spell theory. it also the fact that he can get in the study room where they have all of their research. But for the rest of it, it was private tutors that the family engage who come to teach it and always praise him for his fast ability to learn. While they try to hide their uncomfortable look they have around him and his family.

He was free like a phoenix, but that freedom was not enough for his restless mind who constantly want to analyze more and know more about the world. His father always like to say it run in the family blood this constant thirst. So he awaiting the days he would go outside, like a beast waiting for the opportunity to attack.

Always in his world, and trying to analyze, Yakim would seem to be a quiet and serious child but it quite the opposed, because the moment you ask him what he think or do he would talk for hours with a dynamic, gentle way. So it not too loud nor too soft for the poor ear this unfortunate person have to go. His focus was pretty high that it was almost impossible to shake him out from that state, which it put him sometime in trouble. In all situation he see the positive ways but without discarding the negative one that he can later on learn to avoid happening. He also really curious since he didn't have a lot of interaction, so he easily hop on conversation he interest if the chance is given. He has a small habit that make him compare the thing he see or learn with magical creature, adding more thing to his endless list of weirdness. He never display his status of pure-blood or all the wealth he have, not that he ashamed, it just a information he find unvaluable compare to their knowledge about magical creature to which he proud of. He is quite protective to any magical beast not to the point of extreme but will try to protect it from any harm and potential threat. He is open mind to make new friends or do new thing, they just have to see beyond his unnerving eyes.

First Instance of Magic

Was at the age of seven at his mansion in Scotland, two year after his five year of constant travel, him and Ophiane, who was ten years old at that time, was outside in front of the house playing with the 2 year old Zidel. It was a rare beautiful summer day and the field in front of the house was a calming sceneries. On the far right, outside of the house, the parent and the two eldest was occupied with a wound creature that arrive early this morning in the big grange. He remember that the beast was in the horse wing family, a Granian in his teen, that unfortunately broke a wing. Because of the loud noise of the creature Zidel began to cry making the beast crying louder and so on. Ophiane was immediately trying to calm him by making hilarious face, he was trying hard not to laugh at her but it was to much and broke in a spite of laughing. That bring himself to laugh so hard that he didn't realize he was making the toys of Zidel floating in the air. Hearing all the commotion outside his other older sister, Édeor age of sixteen, came out of the grange to see what is happening. Upon seeing the toys floating she yell at their parent to come quickly. Ophian until now didn't see the toys floating because she was trying to distract Zidel that slowly began to stop crying and to look at his floating toys. the parent and the older brother, Izax age of twenty, came running out of the grange toward them when they saw why their daughter/sister was yelling about. He began to realize that something is off, and at the same time that realization come all the toys came crashing on him making Ophian yell in surprise and the parent plus Édeor yell in panic. Izax quickly cast a spell to deflect the heaviest toys before it crash on his head, fortunately the rest of the toy was harmless. It what silence for a moment before Zidel began to laugh. At the end of the day they were all glade no one was gravely injures and they all celebrate his magic appearance.

Reducio Magnus Alistair Nëlo Head of the family and a loving father. His father die early at a travel outside the country 3 days after the birth of Inax. His mother is still alive but live in a small mansion in France they often visit. He have a sister who come to visit time to time before traveling for her research. He was the oldest. He is a magizoologist, he also have a high knowledge on plant and potion. He was a Hufflepuff.	Reducio Eliomara Silia Nëlo Matriarch of the family and the strict parent. Coming from a traditional pure-blood and Auror family, she was the shame of it for just her decision of career. No wanting them to affect her children she cut tie with them except for her siblings she write to but never visit. she was the 2e child of 3 Her family was good with spell and wandless magic making her also good but not at the level of her family. She also a magizoologist. She was a Revenclaw	Reducio Inax Delias Nëlo 25 year old, the oldest and the heir of the family. Have his middle name as a commemoration of his grandfather. Magizoologist but more incline toward dragon and flying creature because of his love of them. He is expect to be one days the owner of the business. Reducio Édeor Nëlo 20 year old, the second and the sweet sibling. she is a Magizoologist but chose to be close to the family compare to her older brother who always make trip for his research. Have a high interest in charm spell. She also have some expectation from the parent as the second owner of the business. She love writing and read book making her the calmer child. She was a Revenclaw	Reducio Ophiane Nëlo 14 year old, the third and the loud sibling. Want to be also a magizoologist but for sea creature. Go to Hogwarts and is a 3 years. Never really have the chance to interact with her younger brother Yakim at school but when needing she one howl of him. Have a interest in counter-spell. Overly affection and social. She is a Hufflepuff.	Reducio Zidel Nëlo 6 year old, the youngest and last child. Love feeding the animal or creature of the wood. Still don’t have his first instance of magic. He love his family and was love by all of them. Even thought he have a surprising soft and quiet voice he as real tenacity.

Reducio Arold Delias Nëlo the father of Magnus and grand-father of Yakim. He was not originate of the Nëlo family, he became one after marrying his wife. His real name was Arold Delias Calakos originate of Greece he abandoned his last name for the Nëlo. He as die during a trip outside of the country, his search was about hybrid beast and during that trip he has meet a Chimaera. He was a kind and gentlemen that Magnus and his sister look up to. He was a magizoologist incline on hybrid beast. Have a interest in language. He didn't go to Hogwarts but his wife would refer him as a Gryffindor. Younger Self

Reducio Ygraine Solena Nëlo mother of Magnus and grand-mother of Yakim. She was the heiress of the family because she was a only child. Still alive but move out of the principal house after the dead of her husband, as she couldn't bare to be in the house with all his memories. She live in a small vacation mansion in France that her son and family visit time to time or her daughter in rarely case. Magizoologist and a good potion concoction. She is a mischievous person but with the sweetish heart. She was a Hufflepuff Younger Self

Reducio Mastria Ivyona Nëlo the Younger sister of Magnus and aunty of Yakim. Work and help with the family business by collecting ingredient that can't grow at the house. She always in the move, stopping at the mansion two or three time for 3 days by years and go afterward. She also a Magizoologist but almost change career after the dead of her father. She have a interest in transfiguration spell. She a little sharp on the edge but like to crack joke and make fun of her older brother in front of her nieces and nephews. She was a Ravenclaw.

History

The Nëlo, is a old pure-blood family who established themself at Scotland and was able to keep their lineage. For several decade they were know for studying magical creature for their attribute in concoction of potion to later on completely studying them on a level of pure admiration. In the processed they create their own business who they call The Apothecary Beast. This business first objective was to provide a aide for the beast by crafting potion or mix that could help. They after begin to sell ingredient and potion for the other wizard when they noticing what they can do. They work of course with the Minister of Magic since you can not legally have certain magical being at your propriety. So the member was to be categorize as Magizoologist if they want certain privilege toward the magical creature, bringing them to have a long generation around it. They are wealthy, but never displaying it, they in fact display their knowledge on their research of the magical being without being arrogant. They also have a uncanny characteristic, making them to stand out more. their pale blue almost gray eye who has a piercing gaze that people associate it with the feeling of binging dissecting, they were some time call basilic eye for how often people tend to be freezing. They have not real explanations for that other then it just genetic but they like to think it came for their thirst of searching

Birthdays Reducio Funny enough his birthdays drop as the same date that Halloween, his only two friend think is kind of spooky and that he may be unlucky later. For him, he thinks is nice since it at fall season, his favorite. He one time ask his parent if they plan to give birth at this days, and they answer no, that they thought he would be born at November. Him and his family celebrate it one time at the main mansion and the next years at France at grand-mother Ygraine. One time at his nine birthdays, they were at grandma house, Ophiane and him have thought of the greatest idea. And ho Merlin they were wrong. The thing is at grandma mansion, the house is ways closer to the city and they hear about a tour of free candy that was going to happen there. So they think why not participated, so after they barely manage to go out of the house they go to the main street and they saw many children with different outfit that some were a little bit confusing for them but also cool. For the past fifteen minute him and his sister stroll the main street, and just admiring the display forgetting why they were there at the first place. He was, of course, so focus that he didn't saw the police man he bump into, the police man look at him and his sister and ask where was our parent. Ophiane face began to show a little bit of panic while he was trying to find a escape, but while thinking the police reach for his arm so he can fallow him at the station. Since he barely have his first instance magic, he couldn't control the studently outburst of magic he did by the surprise grab, making some of the light of the street go off. The police officer drop his arm by confusion. He take the opportunity to grab his siter arm and run back to the mansion. When they arrive their parent was bloody angry. Even their sweet and calm father was having the same expression as a wild Graphorn. It was the only time they ever get to see a muggle Halloween. But it was worth it, if for the knowledge of it.

Education Reducio He love learning new thing so when he official begin his homeschool class by his family at five he was exited. for the couple of first months it was fantastique but then his mother tell him that other people would come to the house and teach him other subject. At first he was thrilled to see new people but when he meet them they were wearing a uncomfortable face the moment they saw him and immediately hide it with a fake smile when they introduce themself to him. It really surprise him, so he begin to carefully watch and analyze their face movement in class to figure it out why. He realize quickly they were even more uncomfortable then before like they knew he was watching them. He swear he was being discreet. So he stop but only in class, outside he watch them talk to his parent, more to his mother then his father but later he knew why. They compliment him to his parent for his good attitude plus his fast learning and that he could go real far. They really look sincere while saying all that, so the more he listen the more he perplex, if they praise him so much why do they seem to want to go out of the same room as him. It was the first time he was having difficulty to result something and he begin to absolutely dislike it. So he enter in his focus each time they were talking or interact with a member of the family and the realization hit him, it was not only him they were avoid it but all member excluding his mother. Was it because she wasn't a descended of the directly of the Nëlo? The question was burning his tongue. One days after his class time, he go toward his parent to finally ask his question as to why his tutors was avoid them or have a uncomfortable look each time they interact with a member of the family except his mother. His father forthright answer was « Our eyes. » Nothing else, only watching and waiting for him to discerning it. In all the interaction they were in fact avoiding any eyes contact but why ? Instantly he remember there was a characteristic his family was something be name. People with Basilic eyes. His father seeing his face knew he figure it out and finally add « Our eyes have a uncanny feature that bring people that are under our gaze have a unnerving felling. » After that discussion he start to try not to directly see in the eyes of new people as much possible. But not once was he insecure of them he just think is unnecessary trouble, except if he want someone to leave.

Hobby Reducio He always try to learn more about magical creature and plant by that he mean go wandering in the wood at the back of the house at 6 am, then come back at noon. So yes maybe is ways to early and too long but Merlin that it beautiful a that period of time in the days. The house elf of the kitchen also make a little picnic bag that he can eat it out later as breakfast. He thanks them each time. Unfortunately the weather is all the time changing, so he need to find something else to occupied his time. The library held decade of history of their family and their research so it obvious he would come there to read them. It also very cozy in there with their couch or the little corner with many pillows and fluffy drape. So he go get lost in his world by reading the archive in the library in the afternoon until one of the member of the family come and drag him out of it. All of that are hobby he knew he would like, but there is one that he surprisingly never think of it before he try the first time. The violon. He would go to the greenhouse to play it and it bring to him a new sensation of calm, it different of the sound of the nature and the quiet of the library. In the beginning it was hard because he was determent to learn it alone but now he can play fluidly. If he feel it he sometime would go to the forest near the lake and play.

Friends Reducio In his whole childhood he only have two friend, which for him is a miracle. The first one he meet was at a gathering of pure-blood, that his future friend family organize. Since his family is pretty much not the type to show off or have a need to socialize they rarely go to any type of gathering but they still need to go so they can keep up with the wizard social news. That bring them to have a quotas of present in that kind of event by years. That days was the first one they decide do go, that was host by the family L ., a typical traditional one if you see how arrogant they are when talking. Knowing that, he guess it would be a long and slow day for him and his family who also doesn't seem really trilled about it. He remember of never going at their house before but he did recall only seeing and hearing the head of the family with his wife at other gathering. So by Merlin was he surprise to see a child of the same age as him beside them, when they arrive at the host house. The other kid introduce himself, with the biggest face of resigned, as Maxime L.. He only have the chance to really talk to him later in the day, at first he wasn't looking forward when he seeing him approaching it but when he realize they both have common subject and moral they quickly began friend and secretly making a little bit of fun of other people. It was the most fun he ever have in this kind of event, so he truly cherish that day. They unfortunately have to part aways but they did stay in contact by writing and sometime have each other coming at the house. The second friend was a pure accident. It was while him and Maxime decide to go to the Diagon Alley with his older brother as a guardian. They kind of lost him when they were amaze by the Magical Menagerie shop, that bring them to stumble into a boy. The boy in question ask if they were okay by the look of their eyes but after they explain the problem the boy propose to help them. When they were walking the boy present himself as Ali W., they all soon get along, talking and relating about everything, slowly forgetting their task. Until, he hear his brother yelling their name and running to them with a relief face fallow by a panic looking women who he guess was Ali mom by how much they resemble. He was correct, and after a scolding rant on all the boys by both guardians they all go to their own house but not without exchanging information. He really cherish them since they are not only wonderful people but they were not bother by his eyes making them a real exception. Also a strange trio compose of two pure-blood and a half-blood.

The Family pets Reducio Amona and Ajax was the family guardian, Amona was a female Curp while Ajax was a male Kneazle with a black fur adding with white spotted and Golding eyes. Amona was a bubble of energy and affection she was also really protective of the house and family to why when they have client coming she was grumpy. She listen only to the member of the Nëlo, and if someone outside try to order her she would simply ignore them as if she was deaf. They have her since two year before the birth of Zidel. Amona and sometime Ajax would be sent to come get Yakim from the forest when he would be lost in his focus. Ajax as for him was a complete opposite of Amona, he was more calmer but not less protective as her. He wasn't really demonstrative of his displeasure of a stranger but he would fallow and keep a eyes on them util they were gone of the propriety. He also listen to all member of the family but have a preference for Yakim and his older sister Édeor. They have him since one years before the birth of him making him more older than Amona. At first they were always fighting, but at some point they bound together for their protective side when one time they have chase aways a gnome who attack him when by accidently he surprise the little beast in their garden. Since then they have stop fighting.
