Callum Alistar is an 13-year-old boy with a slender build and outgoing demeanor. He stands at about 5 feet 4 inches, with redish-brownish hair and blue eyes. His hair is cut short, often in curls. And has freckles all over the place. He was born in Cardiff, Wales to his parents Jack and Elaina Alistar on May 8th, 2013. His parents work for the Ministry of Magic, his father works in the Portkey office, and his mother in the Office for House-Elf Relocation. He also has a little brother named Emrys. Ever since Callum was little, he showed keen interest in the game of quidditch. This interest was also influenced by his father who played on Hufflepuff’s quidditch team as a chaser when he was in school. For his 5th birthday, his parents bought him a Welsh National Quidditch Team jersey. Whenever his parents were off of work, they would always go on family trips. They would go to the beach, shopping, hiking, and bike riding. Callum loved to spend time with his family. But the thing Callum loved doing the most was stargazing. His parents installed a skylight above his bed so he could see the stars from the comfort of his home. Callum considers himself as charming, adventurous, hardworking, approachable, and funny. His adventurous, approachable, and hardworking side comes from his mother who was a prefect for Hufflepuff, while his father was a bit of a jokester, he is also very charming, and was a very hardworking student. Callum embraces both sides of his personality, making his connection to his parents even more close.

Callum's first instance of magic happened when he was 9. Callum had been asking his parents for a new bike for Christmas since his old one needed some parts to get it fixed again. When he came down from upstairs, his eyes widened at what was waiting for him under the tree. Callum started jumping up and down with joy as he got what he wanted for Christmas, on one particular jump his feet didn't touch the ground again. Callum opened his eyes and found himself levitating off of the ground.

Callum was excited about his first day at Hogwarts. He sat in the Great Hall along with the other students waiting to be sorted into their houses. Everyone got called up alphabetically so Callum was one of the first many to be seated under the Sorting Hat. The Sorting Hat mumbled to itself, noting some of the characteristics Callum possessed. “Hufflepuff!” the Sorting Hat announced and the Great Hall erupted into applause. Callum was now sorted into Hufflepuff House, where its students are known for their hard work and loyalty.

Callum was glad the sorting ceremony was now over, all he wanted to do now was lay in a nice cozy bed. After the students were led to find their common rooms, Callum started to look around. He noticed how cozy and bright it was in the Hufflepuff Common room, something he enjoyed very much about his room at home. Walking around, Callum noticed a sign above one of the male dorms. It read “Diggory Diggs”, a name that was very familiar to Callum. He remembered his father talking about legendary player Cedric Diggory after he showed interest in playing Quidditch one day. Next to the sign was Cedric’s broomstick along with the golden snitch he caught.

Callum entered the dorm, some of the students were already settled in. Luckily, Callum found an empty bed for him to sleep in. He unpacked some of his things and layed in the cozy bed. He stared up at the ceiling for a while before dozing off for a nap. Callum would call this day a success, he is excited to start his school year at Hogwarts and make many friends along the way. Hopefully, he will be able to play on the Hufflepuff Quidditch team one day.
