Reducio history. What happens when two young people fall stupidly in love? Well just as you would think, they face the world in this lens of a romantic haze and make stupid decisions. It truly was the perfect love story. Hotae Nam was on a study abroad program, transferring from Sejong University to the University of St Andrews. The South Korean university student found himself falling in love with Scotland and its quiet local beauty, but thatβs not all he fell in love withβ A scottish girl with a head full of mousy brown locks, eyes that pooled like hazy wildflower honey, and a face filled with caramel freckles; But many knew her as the artistic prodigy, Joyce Stewart, his assigned partner and classmate. He had fallen first, and it wasnβt long before the crush, turned into a like, then turned into love. Before Hotae knew it he had chosen to stay in Scotland pursuing love as he officially transferred to be with her. It wasnβt long after their graduation before the couple got hitched, many describing them as the most in love people they had ever seen. Quickly being known by most for their good sense of humor, kindness, strong morals, and sweet family dog Cinnamon, a St. Bernard. But through this ignorant bliss comes a product of this enchantment of cupid, how ironic then was it when the byproduct of their love was born on Valentineβs Day? They had named him Cirrus, a formation of clouds known for its feathery, wispy, and delicate appearance also often depicted as the chariots of gods and goddesses. And with so much love overflowing with such a family it wasn't a suprise when they welcomed a new baby girl, Chamomile, to the family. They so fondly raised the two in a small townhouse on Argyle Street in St. Andrews, Scotland, and spent many holidays with his paternal grandparents who live in Namhae, South Korea. Due to this, despite his magical abilities and overall Scottish upbringing, Cirrus also learned Korean customs and language, as Namhae had become a second home. Furthermore the Nams derrive from a South Korean-muggle ancestry even though rather small the family is still quite lively. This family includes his Grandparents, Jungwoo and Duri, and their two sons, Hotae and Jaehyun. Jaehyun had married a pureblood witch, Darling [English-Korean mix], and settled down in Corwen, Wales. There they gave birth to their only son, Yohan Heavenly Nam [Cirrus's cousin]. The family meets up all together if they can at least once a year for either holidays or for just a family reunion, but due to both family's busy nature it can be a rather difficult task. fiom. Cirrus's upbringing had been overall pretty normal, except he didn't quite fit the mold of any of the other muggle children; but of course this wasn't due to the fact that he was considered a gifted child amongst his peers at a young age, but rather because everywhere he went strange occurrences seemed to follow causing the superstitious townsmen to whisper about bad luck. But Cirrusβs parents seemed unconvinced, there was no way that their angel of a child was such. Consequently, this 'bad luck' began to happen even more frequently around Joyce's and Hotae's 3-year-old son. But again, the instances could be put off as being just one's mind playing tricks on them or silly coincidences, the couple choosing to ignore the flags. As a result, all the truth bubbled up and came to surface on one fateful chilly autumn evening... Hotae and Joyce were very busy with the chores that Autumn brings, or to put it more simply cleaning up the leaves. They had just finished raking up all the leaves into a large pile, the yard was spotless, of course, save the large pile of leaves. They celebrated a little before realizing... Where was Cirrus? They called out and looked around for him but heard nothing, panic quickly setting in. But suddenly they heard a small boy's voice from up above, and to the parent's terror their 3-year-old son was on top of their roof. Before they could tell him to stay put or to get down, he jumpedβ Falling into a large pile of leaves. They were mortified as they tried to dig him up from the leaves and were shocked to find Cirrus giggling and laughing. But the most flabbergasting thing was that the little boy was completely unscathed. They could deny no longer that their boy was not very ordinary. It wasn't until this first instance of magic with the arrival of a wizard to explain that it could be no longer refuted, Cirrus was indeed behind these 'coincidences', he was undoubtedly that of magical genetics despite being born to muggle parents. |
Reducio personality. If there was an epitome of calming presence as a person it would be no other than Cirrus Hotae Nam, the very Hufflepuff boy who's soft gentle Scottish voice alone can calm even the most anxious of people. It's hard to explain it, but others find themselves suddenly untensed and a feeling of comfortability wash over them when in the boy's presence. The soft-spoken big-hearted boy who in everyone's eyes could never do any wrong, even if so he is quickly forgiven because... It's Cirrus, he couldn't have done it on purpose, and no one's perfect, right? It's hard to pinpoint what exactly makes Cirrus's aura so soothing to those around him, albeit friends, family, or even the common day stranger he interacts with at a grocery store. Many like to say he has this little bubble of positivity, peace, and awkwardness that's enough to put even the most weary minds at ease. Whether this can be contributed to the boy's hushed soft mellowed visuals, of gentle bright eyes of warm pooling honey, and mousy tousled dark hazelnut hair, optimistic disposition, or carefree attitude that seems down for anything as long as it will make the other smile, the light around him is uncanny. Furthermore, he is loyal, charismatic, kind, funny, and easy-going, which makes him come across as dependable and trustworthy to those around him. But due to his rather slow and dense nature, he is often referred to as a himbo, because he is only book-smart, even so he is often willing to help others study even if he isn't acquainted with them. His honesty and great listening skills make him a valuable companion, however, he suffers from a lack of decisiveness, which can make him hesitant and unsure in certain situations causing him to act recklessly but can be seen as fun to others. Additionally, Cirrus struggles with his awkwardness, clumsiness, and nerves, and he is genuinely an overall a pretty quiet kid as well. Cirrus typically comes across as friendly, down-to-earth, and approachable, and his awkwardness makes those who are shy feel better as he isn't a cool boy that tris to push them or pressure them, creating a sense of relatability. He is often described as wholesome, innocent, energetic, and has a carefree demeanor, a warm welcoming smile, and the personality of a toddler despite also being seen as responsible. Cirrus doesn't wear anything flashy or attention-seeking and often looks pretty well-put-together and easily blurs into the crowd. Even though he doesn't catch people's eyes immediately he has a quiet loyal strength and a relatively subtle boyish charm, perfectly excluding boy next-door vibes which can be seen as friendly and calming to most. Around Hogwarts he is often seen by Gekko Phillips's side, which often showcases his unwavering loyalty. Cirrus being a muggle enjoys many regular things his kid's age including video games, but he also loves rolling around outside. Sometimes shedding his usual elegant timid and mature demeanor to do childish out-of-pocket things, further executing boy next-door vibes. This can lead to starting a snowball fight against a girl he doesn't know, sneaking out to Hogsmeade with Gekko, or climbing something against his better judgement only to get stuck or hurt. Cirrus is a boy of no to few enemies, and frankly no one can bring themselves to hate the golden boy, who works he hardest to make everyone as comfortable as possible, often becoming friends within the first instance of meeting them. Whenever he isn't sleeping he is diligently studying, trailing along with some random group of friends he made or following his best friend, Gekko Phillips, like a lovesick puppy to the ends of the earth. |
Reducio appearances. Summer child who bathes in the sun's light and watches the comets shoot byβ Why do you cry? A boy named after a distant reverie, both diaphonous and winsome, Cirrus stands taller than he should for his age. His hair falls in long wispy waves of mousy brown hair, perfectly framing his honeyed skin kissed by the rays of the stars. Hinting at his mixed heritage, his large almond eyes open in curiosity as the light hits just right, exposing the warm pools of hazy sparkling amber that appear more of a milk chocolate when taken under a shady tree. Smiles crawl without permission often for Cirrus, revealing his long dimples and his overbite that causes his teeth to slightly protrude out of his mouth, accentuated by a snaggle tooth and small chip in his tooth. But his higher cheekbones, prominent jaw, and faint scar on the top left of his lip add a sharp quality to his face; whilst his pouty lips and high-bridge nose offer a subtle piece of sweetness and softness that give him his carefree and friendly look. Overall the boy is someone who effortlessly blends in well with the crowd, but stands out like a sore thumb to those who know him best. He is usually very well put-together and dresses quite well. The hufflepuff's physique is thin with light toning yet his limbs are awkward and gangly, something not uncommon for his age. What would you smell if you were in love with Cirrus? Well the answer is simple you would smell fresh-cut summer strawberries, sweet peppermint, a hint of citrus, and unscented lotion, almost close to the scent of fruity tea. Strangely Cirrus is often perceived as a sleepy person, as he often lazes around the castle on any warm spot he can find, like a cat loafing in the sun. |
