The Allum family was a mixture of luck and power. Luck came into play as many individuals born within the line just had an unnatural talent in almost any field. Some became amazing potioneers, healers, dragon tamers, professors, duelist, scribes, and much more. While no one family member had a talent in all fields, they at least had enough talent to make a name for themselves. Lucian, on the other hand, was a different case. While his siblings showed great prowess and promise, he on the other hand showed par capabilities. His life before Hogwarts was already displaying little promise on whether he'd be capable of making a name for himself and hold true to the Allum name. While he wasn't neglected, he could always felt the judgmental eyes and thoughts of his peers and family during annual competitions. He was at times put in situations or forced to take part in activities he didn't enjoy at all as he knew it would only strengthen the confidence of others and diminish his own. It overall added fire to the flame, the irate fury he would slowly develop towards his family and siblings. As such, Lucian's born talent was simply effort. He'd spend hours in his families garden studying any topic he could. Taking the time to write detailed notes, and when no one was looking to venture deep into a forest located behind a hedge fence.
Within the forest he'd focus on his physical strength over his mental. Taking time to have the speed of an elk, the balance of a monkey, and the strength of a bear. Nature had beauty, and animals seemed much friendlier than people. An introvert in nature, an underdog who represented the full statement: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." He needed versatility, he needed to do what was right and do so without risk or cost to others. To prove his worth.

Lucian is rather a serious individual for his age, sometimes incapable of taking a joke from others. A rule follower who can get on others nerves, but is willing to let things slide if the means justify the end. He’s typically hard to read some days, and believes loyalty and trust are extremely important to uphold. If he were to lose trust in someone, then they’d have an easier chance transfiguring a fish into a tortoise the size of a whale than regaining it from him. He can be reasoned with, but his serious nature and attitude sometimes intimidates other students from even speaking with him. More of an introvert, sticking to himself studying and being one with nature. He rarely ask for help and prefers to involve people to a minimum if it can be done. Despite all of it though, being called a friend by him means you can rely and expect the best help anyone is willing to offer. If you’ve earned his friendship, he’ll be there even in the worst of times or moments of breaking rules. Typically to scold you once the drama has died down and mumble a couple words as he treads away. He enjoys and loves to interact with animals too, sometime more than people.
