Physical Traits

Elisa is a tiny little thing with skinny limbs and thick black hair with bangs that reaches down to her lower back. Standing at only 4 feet 7 1/2 inches and 70 lbs at 11 years-old, she tends to be the shortest among her classmates. Her large, dark brown eyes are wide-set and fringed with long lashes. She has a short, soft button nose, and rose-coloured lips, often turned upward in a timid, but kind smile. Her voice is soft, gentle, and chipmunk-like in pitch.

Her Style

Her parents adore dressing up Elisa like a little princess, with ribbons in her hair, and elaborate dresses of pearls and lace more appropriate on porcelain dolls. But when given the choice, Elisa's style is very modest and simple. She rarely wears any jewelry with the exception of a turquoise ring from her grandmother that she never removes. She doesn't even wear any hair accessories beyond plain elastic bands. Her black hair, which she never cuts short, is either loose down her back, tied in a ponytail, or pulled back in a simple braid that hangs over her left shoulder. Her favorite clothes consist of plain, long-sleeve shirts with rounded necklines, cotton cardigans, and flower-patterned skirts and dresses that fall past her knees. She loves wearing blue, green, or turquoise, her favorite colors.

Personality:

Elisa is very polite, always kind, and smiles and giggles easily. She can be very friendly, bubbly, and warm, but sometimes her shyness takes over and she becomes more withdrawn and quiet. When happy, Elisa seems to shine like the sun, her cheerful disposition radiating a contagious joy and love for life that spreads to all around her.

Elisa didn't have many friends growing up and her heart yearns for deep, meaningful connections. However, painfully sensitive and insecure, she fears rejection and only opens up very slowly, and only to the gentlest of hearts, once she feels absolutely safe to be herself.

Elisa adores nature. She feels most at peace deep in forests, under the green canopy of tall, majestic trees. Feeling she could easily spend entire days among trees, the young girl easily tunes in to their calming, soothing aura. They seem to nourish and heal her. The Hufflepuff also loves all animals, magical and non-magical alike, and feels an especially strong, heart connection with cats.

Biography:

Before Hogwarts

Elisa Flores grew up in a quaint port town, the daughter of Muggle parents who prized above all image and success. Rosa and Fernando Flores brought up their child to be their doll, their perfect little daughter: pretty, obedient, bright, disciplined, and high-achieving. The fruits of countless hours of study and practice, Elisa grew up always top of her class and the first place winner of numerous piano competitions.

Elisa was her parents' trophy child. They had all details of her life carefully controlled and planned, from the cute ribbons in her braided hair and the clothes she wore to her friends, extracurricular activities, and her future schools and career. Elisa grew up like a trapped bird, her individuality and her own personal dreams and desires stifled and sacrificed to uphold her parents’ image of perfection.

It was a catastrophic shock when her parents discovered that she was, in fact, a witch. Rosa and Fernando were inconsolable. They were losing the image of their precious, perfect daughter and all their careful plans for Elisa’s future were flying out the window. Tears, screams, and denial ensued, but her parents’ reaction did nothing to diminish Elisa's own elation. The young witch was overjoyed to be leaving for Hogwarts. The fact that magic existed was an incredible dream come true. Deep down, she felt she always must have known. But magic aside, her acceptance to Hogwarts meant that for the first time, Elisa would know freedom. Freedom to be herself, to discover life on her own terms, and to even pursue her own hopes and dreams.

Serene will be our days, and bright and happy will our nature be, when love is an unerring light, and joy its own security.
