History

I was born as the youngest girl in a wizarding family to Jake Cole, and English wizard and Maria Cole, a Filipina-American muggle on the cold winters of the 30th of December, 2011 in England. My father, Jake Cole, works in the Ministry of Magic in the Department of Magical Games and Sports. He says he always had an interest in magical games like Quidditch and Gobstones.

My mother, Maria, is a rather talented singer, but she was never famous. She used to perform in bars and small parties to support her family as a young woman. Life was hard for her until she met my dad. Father was once a rich and fine young man from a wealthy pureblood family, until he married my mother, that is. He never had a job before because my grandparents are crazy rich- he brought his wizard friends to different parties and lived the luxuries of a rich man. He's from a family of philanthropists that supported the ministry. Jake was a very adventurous man and loved to try out new things whether muggle or magical. My parents met in a party where my mother performed at. He grew closer to my mother, loved her, and even supported her with food and a cottage to stay in, but never really gave her money because his family was only rich in galleons- not euros. My grandparents did not like the sound of it, but they still approved. He was already a disgrace to his family, being sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin. When they found out that Maria would be our mother, that was the last straw. They went ballistic because they wanted to keep their blood 'pure'. They chose status over true love and disowned him, leaving him to suffer financially as well. Our family never saw them again. Father then told mother about his magical abilities- he didn't expect it to go well, but she didn't overreact. All his wizard friends left him mainly because he didn't have any money left; but my mom didn't. Mother believed and supported him, even to the point where her parents died of illness. Father eventually secured a job in the Ministry. My parents kept pushing until they were financially stable. They've went through a lot, but they're mentally and emotionally strong. I've never seen them break down. I was raised in a humble household in England, where we lived in the vintage, old cottage in the countryside my dad gave my mother years ago. Not grand, but I call it home.

My twin sister, Judy Cole is a squib. She's just a minute older than me, but she takes that one minute very seriously- or took, rather. She used to protect me, to have fun with me. We used to get lost in the woods in the evening while my mother was busy doing stuff in the house, then they would look for us, worried.
"Come one Jacqueline! Let's play!" four-year-old Judy yelled, grinning, running around the trees near their cottage.

"I'm coming! Wait! You're too fast! I can't keep up!" the exhausted four-year-old Jacqueline panted, laughing.
That day, it took my parents more than half an hour to find us just to realize we were already at home, ready for supper. We were inseparable through the years, but as time moved on, our friendship faltered a bit. It's very sad, honestly. When I received my Hogwarts letter, it was the worst it could possibly get. You see, I wanted to be a normal person. A muggle singer and a musician, just like mother. Mother said that I showed talent at singing even before I first encountered magic, so she continued to teach me how to sing and even play other musical instruments. Judy always wanted to be a witch like our father, but she got her hopes too high- it all happened the other way around. I could always sing, even if I'm a witch, but I feel horrible for Judy. Ever since I first encountered magic, the young squib patiently waited and waited for hers, and I did too, but that day just never came. She grew horribly jealous that she never had magic inside of her, that she rarely talked to me ever since I received the letter, breaking my heart. I still loved my sister, and tried my best to comfort her; but Judy still treated me poorly.
"Judy! It's alright! You can still be a singer, like mom! Do it for me, and I will be a witch for you! Please! Let's be friends again!" Jacqueline yelled in front of the doorway of Judy's room, trying to make amends her jealous sister before leaving to King's Cross.

"I don't want to be a singer! You know what, I give up! You go to that Hogwarts, you abnormal freak! AND GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Judy shrieked in tears and slammed the door, knowing that deep down, she desperately wanted to go. Jacqueline leaned on the door, crossed her arms and felt a tear slide down her cheek. What happened to the old Judy? Jacqueline thought in tears. This broke both the siblings' hearts and their friendship.
Father told us about our magical heritage at an early age. I can't even remember how old I was then. Maybe back when I was three years old. Judy and I spent our childhood homeschooling, I learned about the magical world from father ever since I first experienced magic, and the both of us learned about the muggle world from mother. Yeah, my parents were already financially stable, but they still don't think they have enough money to pay for a muggle education for Judy, and besides, we live far away from the city. Instead, the homeschooled us informing us about all the things we need to know for our age, and then I realized that they're not just parents, but like teachers and best friends to us. They understood how we felt, and why we felt that way. Though I was heartbroken that Judy now hated me, I was very excited when my Hogwarts letter was received, not just because of learning about magic, but a new chapter about to begin.
First Instance of Accidental Magic

Jacqueline eventually first encountered magic on the evening of her fourth birthday. She and Judy lived alone with their parents and never had any friends, so she never had any birthday party or gathering, but they still had their family; and that was enough for her. Their mother, Maria, made them a hard-earned birthday cake decorated with colorful icing, which were supposed to look like flowers, while their father was at work. Maria told them to wait until their father got home to start eating it. Judy wanted to go with their mother to help with some chores, leaving Jacqueline in the kitchen with the cake on the table. She was extremely bored and was tempted to eat the cake. Although the icing flowers wasn't well made, Jacqueline was quite fascinated by them, especially the rainbow one at the center, until they rose out of the cake and bloomed like real flowers, which was the last thing she expected. Her eyes grew wide open. There was then green smoke coming out of the fireplace which disappeared and revealed her father, Jake. Floo Powder, Jacqueline immediately recognized. "Father's home!", Jacqueline squealed and grinned, pointing at the cake full of realistic-looking flowers that sprouted out of it as Jake pulled the young witch in a hug. He never knew that this day would come quick for Jacqueline- and he was never prouder.
Physical Description: Jacqueline Cole has wavy blonde hair, which dangled around an inch or two below her shoulders. Her dark- greyish eyes were from her mother. She was tall for her age, standing at four feet eleven inches (4'11) which was pretty tall for her age, in her opinion. She would get comments from Judy saying her cheeks were quite chubby. Her natural lip color, baby pink, was just the same ever since she was a baby, which was her biggest insecurity. She hated the color, but never really did anything to fix it. She prefers wearing loose and sleeved clothes like hoodies. Twins from many stories look the same, but Judy and Jacqueline are different. Judy had auburn hair, chocolate brown eyes and freckles; unlike her blonde hair and grey eyes.

Mental Description: Jacqueline is warm hearted, straight forward, and has some light humor, and can be sarcastic sometimes. She often brags that she's a genius, thinking she isn't. She doesn't like a lot of friends, and would rather have one friend whom she trusted than have hundreds that would be asking for her attention all the time. Although she is a witch, it doesn't mean she doesn't know anything about the muggle world. Her mother taught her how to play musical instruments and some math concepts, and gave her access to other muggle objects like toy rubber ducks and stuffed toys. The young witch enjoys music. She is excellent at singing, just like her mother. Jacqueline is also a prodigy at piano playing, and played the guitar quite decently. As a young musician, she believes that playing instruments was a form of relaxation for anyone, big or small, old or young, free or bound. Jacqueline is also talented at mathematics. She could deal with huge numbers in her head. As a first year student in Hogwarts, she is looking forward to make her Hogwarts years memorable.
