Atlantis and I were born on 23 May 2012. Atlantis, my twin, is 4 minutes older than me. She was born smiling, dazzling and full of life; I followed her red, screaming and abnormal. But I didn't know yet that I was an anomaly. Those were the days.

Months went by, and I did everything with my twin sister. We learned to walk and talk together, but it was always her who got there first. Even at less than 2 years old, I was able to tell that I was living in her shadow, so to speak.

And then, at the age of 5, I finally discovered the love of my life: dance. I can still remember every Tuesday evening when my mother would take me on foot to my dance class in the neighbouring town. At the time, I knew nothing about the wizarding world and I was happy to be able to look normal among the other little Muggle girls.

As the years went by, some of them gave up, but I remained firmly attached to my dream of one day becoming a prima ballerina. When I was 8, I had my first taste of magic. I was playing hide-and-seek with Atlantis, and I climbed a tree to hide. Unintentionally, I was knocked off balance and fell to the ground. Strangely, the ground had become bouncy. It's thanks to magic that an accident didn't shatter my dreams.

But from that day on, I was ashamed of my magic. I was afraid that my dance friends would find out that I was even more abnormal. So I would give myself up and hardly speak to anyone, for fear of being rejected. As the years went by, the courses and levels became more and more regular, and there were only two of us left since the very first level. Her name was Romy. She was really very good, but our teacher, Miss Harvey, apparently thought I was smoother, more elegant and therefore better than her. I was so afraid that one dance class my magic would manifest itself again and I'd be expelled from dance school because of this other abnormality.

It was on 21 June 2023 that I received my letter to Hogwarts. Atlantis had also received one. She was happy, I was sad. She was normal, she wouldn't have to face the looks of others, unlike me... What's more, I was going to have to give up dancing, and my dreams. So I had to tell Miss Harvey that I had been accepted at a boarding school a long way away, in Scotland. I also promised to take lessons during the holidays and to practise every day.

So every day I go to my usual place to practise my steps and gestures. Most of the time I train outside Ravenclaw Tower, so that Atlantis, who is based in Slytherin, can come and watch me. But I'm afraid she's so uninterested in me that she'd rather go with her friends than me. They think I'm weird too, and I'm afraid Atlantis is starting to think the same as they do.
