BLOOD STATUS | PUREBLOODReducioAugust was born in Norway, but moved down to Scotland when he was eight years old. At the age of six, his mother died from a magical illness, leaving him with a father hardened by grief. His father was very strict with the young boy. It is more simple to note that he did not have the most pleasant of childhoods growing up without his mother.
Both his parents had very strict pureblood ideals. He was brought up to believe that muggles and muggle-borns were a disgrace to the wizarding community. Because he was so young when he was taught these ideals, they are simply a regular part of his life and he does not see it as wrong in any way or form. August comes from a long wizarding line of Slytherin and Ravenclaw students, and his wish was always to be sorted into one of the two aforementioned houses, but his preference was Slytherin.
He took all the time he could to read the books in his father's extensive library. Many late nights and frosty mornings reading the books gave him immense knowledge on spells and potions, creatures and beasts, histories of magical and muggle worlds both. August had no shortage of knowledge and prided himself on the many things he understood of the world.
He had very few friends growing up, and while others may find this lonely, August found it anything but. He enjoyed being alone and had always been an independent soul. Those that he did consider as friends, he would do anything for. Because he has trouble caring for people, those he considered friends were few and far between.
During a cold autumn night when August was eight, he found himself in his father's library with heaps of books surrounding him. He and his father had just moved to Scotland. As he read, he became increasingly engaged in the books. Unfortunately, the candle he read by burned out a few hours later, causing the boy to be plunged into a pitch black room with no light to read by. In his frustration at not being able to see the words on the page, he caused little baubles of light to appear out of seemingly thin air. The light hovered around August, allowing him to finish the books.

ReducioDark hair and dark eyes give August a sense of mystery to his overall looks. His hair falls in untamed curls around his head.
