Standing at only 4 feet 7, Xin is easy to be overlooked in crowds of people which proved to be a benefit so far. A petite build and adorable features made the girl look far younger than she actually is. With ivory skin, almond-shaped eyes, and dark brown hair which reached below the shoulders, Xin could be easily recognized as a Chinese girl. Freckles faintly dotted her cheeks, but they were only visible in the sunshine. Her shy smile and rosy complexion aren't naturals, but could only be seen by people she trusted and had taken a liking to.

Usually prim and proper, Xin was a girl at heart. She always wore a chic pink dress, and a checkered headband that she had to keep pulling back because it always slipped down to her forehead. The beige sneakers she sported were quite bulky, as was the belt bag she wore off to one side. This neat yet relaxed style was completed by her flow of brownish black hair laying freely on her shoulder.

PERSONALITY

Just like her appearance, Xin isn't the girl who likes to stand in the spotlight. Retreating into the shadows and wretch the controls out of someone else's hands are much more preferable. People always think the girl is a harmless little bunny just by looking at her naive features, but that isn't it. Underneath the sweet and light-hearted shell, was a girl who was competitive, arrogant and cunning. She could lie without even moving a muscle, and had wiggled her way out of trouble because of how grown-ups always scan the surface instead of going deeper inside. And a lifetime of kick-boxing lessons only made the girl stronger and more violent when it comes to her enemies.

However awful the girl actually was, Xin still had some good features, even the bad guys in movies do. Appearing as shy and sweet, which did hold some elements of truth, Xin was especially awkward around boys, the ones one she liked of course. Sensitive, considerate and friendly, she was easily a nice friend to be with. Annnnd could whip up a nice meal people could only dream of in just minutes.

HISTORY

THE PAST

Xin was the second child of two successful muggles, Mr and Mrs Fang. They were originally Chinese, but moved to London shortly before Xin's elder brother, Fang Yun-Chen, was born.

Most people say Xin's like her father. Not only in appearance, but also in their personalities - the outside ones obviously. And they are probably right. Mr Fang was a muscular man who worked for a financial company as a manager. Despite his strong build, he was an exceptionally kind man, who's caring shone through his eyes. At least, that was how Mr Fang was like before she came.

When Mable Carter was hired as Mr Fang's secretary, no one noticed anything wrong. Mable was a beautiful woman, and dependable as well. But they never realized that Mr Fang was second-timing Mable, until the day Xin spied the two kissing in their office.

That changed the girl totally. She became introverted and always had that dark look inside her eyes, constantly reminding her father that she did not forget. It was not until two years later, when the darkness retreated from her face and she became smiling as before. Seeing this, her parents were relieved, and soon life was normal. But no one suspected that Xin never went out from the darkness.

Some people have darkness in their souls.

Xin's first instance of magic came soon after her sixth birthday. Her brother wanted to play a cruel prank in his sister and put a spider into Xin's bed. Xin, who always had a fear for insects screamed when she saw it and suddenly the thing was gone. Followed by Yun-Chen's blood-curdling yell. The creature had somehow appeared on his head and made the boy dance around wildly, trying to shake it off! It was a hilarious scene and still brought a smile to Xin when she remembered that many years later.

Exactly five years later, a letter came in the beak of a barn owl. It was the acceptance letter for Hogwarts, and Xin escaped from the monster, otherwise known as Mabel Carter, at the first possible moment. Finally, this story had a happy ending.
