Unicorn Tail Hair is consistent, extremely loyal, moralistic, opposed to the Dark Arts and rarely fluctuates. While steady and reliable, it's not the most powerful unless paired with a strong wood. Prone to being melancholic if mishandled, the wands with Unicorn Hair can stop working entirely if their owner dies.

Rowan is a prized wand wood, has a reputation for protection and produces good defensive charms. While it is known by some for being by favoured by Dark Wizards, this is not true and Rowan has become associated with the opposite. It is said the owners of Rowan wands are gossips, a rumour which holds some truth at least.

A performer by nature, she has been acting ever since she was young in a local muggle acting group called the GlassFlower. Her hobbies also include reading, playing wizard chess, and a muggle sport called kickboxing. She really likes magically moving jigsaw puzzles and has a huge collection of them on her wall at home. She's very creative and resourceful, but also sometimes a bit crafty. Sneaking out after curfew is a common thing for her, even if it is only to visit the owls or talk to a portrait. And even though she loves learning, she's a huge procrastinator, and often stays up all night to complete things that were assigned weeks ago.

THE DE CARIE FAMILY
The De Carie family may be muggles, but they’re not devoid of magic. Nora's mother has but one sister, Kath De Carie, who married Nolan Milan Ovic. Kath has two daughters, one of which is adopted. The non-adopted one, Evelyn Ovic, is non-magical and is majoring in art at a Canadian school. The adopted one, however, is named Meila Ovic and came from China. On her tenth birthday, she discovered she was a half-blood witch (from an old Chinese pureblooded family who disapproved of her parentage) and got her Hogwarts letter the following year.
THE DOGGER FAMILY
Nora’s father is part of a french pureblood family and has six siblings named Keira, Coley, Bryce, Mark, Alastair, and another whom her father refuses to talk about. While Alastair, Bryce, Nora's dad and her mysterious aunt/uncle chose to leave the family town, the others stayed. Mark married Tilly Smith (a Veela), and had one child, Shannon Smith, a part Veela. Keira takes care of her father (Nora's only living grandparent), Brad Dogger. Luckily, marrying a muggle didn't make Nora's father an outcast, for the Doggers are rather poor and muggle-accepting.
NORA’S LIFE
Nora grew up with her mom, Tina Loon De Carie and her dad, Daryl Hotch Dogger, in Queenstown, England, but has no siblings, even though she’d always wanted one. She attended muggle school (at her parents' insistence) and often participated in muggle camps and acting groups. She has a late birthday, so she has to wait an extra year in order to be able to go to Hogwarts.
FIRST ACT OF MAGIC
October 4th, 2019
It was a cold, still morning when Nora first discovered her abilities, but her emotions were raging like a fire. She and her father were in another argument-- and when she turned to rush down the stairs, she didn't watch where she was going, and her foot caught the rug. As Nora fell, she suddenly stopped right before her head hit the step. She hung there for a second before falling with a thump unto the carpeted stairs. Her dad rushed to see if she was alright, and Nora realised what had happened. Her first act of Magic!
