ᛉ APPEARANCE ᛉ

Standing at a stout 5'11", Lia certainly stands out amongst the sea of children. She carries herself with a quiet confidence in most situations, social situations with her peers aside. Chin length, naturally brunette hair is partially dyed blonde. Pale skin frames dark brown eyes, and though she may come off as mildly intimidating upon first glance, there's always a bright smile on hand for any willing to approach.

Her style of clothing can vary greatly from day to day. Some days, she can be found in flowing skirts and meticulously pressed blouses. Others she may opt for a nicely pressed suit or fitted slacks and a blazer. It really is a whim of the day situation. While in the thick of her work, and occasionally during lessons, a small pair of wire-framed glasses may be spotted.

ᛞ PERSONALITY ᛞ
Academics are something that Lia has always held in high regard, so anything to do with such is given her full enthusiasm. If given the opportunity, she will absolutely go on long tangents about any number of subjects covering ancient history to any brave enough to engage. There's a certain level of detail and perfection that she always attempts to add to anything she puts her mind to. During lectures and classes she has been known to exude a rather overly enthusiastic demeanor, though only so long as lessons stay on track. Any interruptions tend to result in an unnatural (for her) sternness. This is solely a result of her own focus on the material, and drive to impart and share that knowledge to the younger generations.

Outside of lessons however, smiles and kind words abound. She's always eager to help out any who approach. That is not to say she is at all competent with social skills. Discussions with students tend to be easy enough to navigate, and she's always happy to lend an ear to any who find themselves in need. Conversing with her peers is an entirely different matter. Unless to topics relate to academics, Lia has been known to flounder a little in casual conversations.

ᛜ HISTORY ᛜ
The only child of Alrik Rolfö and his now estranged wife Vera Rolfö, formally Hurtig. Amalia's family owns a small estate on the outskirts of Karlstad in Sweden, the home she was born and raised in.

At age 7, Lia had been left to her own devices while her parents conducted business. Slipping into the kitchen afforded her the sight of a coveted box of her favorite cookies. Sitting just out of reach. The effort was made, at least, as she stood on her tip-toes to try and reach them atop the tall counter. But unfortunately to no avail. Turning to sulk back out of the room, thoroughly upset by the failed attempt, she didn't register the sound of the box in motion until it hit the floor behind her. Her parents got the delighted story of what had happened through a mouth full of cookie.

Outside of official events she attended with her parents, Lia didn't have much chance to socialize as a child with peers her own age until she was of age to attend Durmstrang. As such, the majority of her time was spent with her personal tutor, Ville. His own fascination with history was passed along to her from a young age. Stories of the days past kept her mind occupied for many a nights. Upon taking up studies at Durmstrang, the young girl threw herself into her studies with a vigor. Through both her own desire to excel and the pressures laid out by her parents, Lia made it through her schooling with fantastic grades, but little else to show for it.

Upon graduating, Amalia took up a long time desire to travel and visit the various lands that she'd grown up reading about to conduct research of her own. During her travels, Lia took notes and various accounts from both local wizarding communities and their muggle counterparts about their own stories of days past. She copied down anything and everything that was willingly shared. Though pronunciations were slightly butchered at her own hand initially, she also was able to pick up some verbal translations of various languages. Many nights were spent working to perfect them.

Over the years, she was able to compile these various stories and notes into a book of her own. The contents ranged from the ancient Nordic cultures to the the various bygone nations of the South Americas and focused on the various written accounts that still survived to this day. Her travels continued for years even beyond this. Wanderlust sated on a large scale, Lia decided to look for a more somewhat more permanent setting with which to continue her own research, while simultaneously imparting the knowledge she'd attained over the years to the newest generations. Much like Ville had done for her. Hogwarts was able to provide that opportunity.
