Lucas comes from two long pureblood lines, with his parents being an arranged marriage that worked out surprisingly well. His mum's family historically have always been a questionable lot, holding many blood supremacist views, and while those views have filtered. down over the generations, his mum was prone to having an occasional outburst or passing a comment about those of 'lesser' blood. That entire side of the family was always placed into Slytherin, and there were a lot of expectations for Lucas to follow suit.

His father on the other side came from a family of more academic types, who were often placed into Ravenclaw, but many had also came from Slytherin. While his mum was unemployed, happy to life off the generations of amassed wealth from either side, his father was set to built upon that and worked for the ministry. He'd held many positions there, but for most of the latter part of Lucas' child hood, he worked as an Oblivator. He had the talents to go higher, but he found the work to be interesting, having deeply researched both Occulemency and Leglimency throughout his life.

Lucas was raised in a seemingly perfect house, anything and everything he had ever wanted, he'd get. Spoilt would be an understatement, especially when he was very young and failed to have any concept of money. As he got older, he personally honed it in, but continued to live a very wealthy life. They lived primarily in a large house within London, making work easy access for Lucas' father, but they also owned properties away from London in the countryside, and would often spend weeks there at a time.

He lived the life of any heir to two long, well respected pure blooded lines, and there was many attempts to tutor him for a young age. While he was home schooled, it was unconventionally done, with two tutors having to move in with them full time to try tutor him around the clock, but for much shorter sittings.

Most social interactions came from meetings with other pureblooded families, where he would have to, reluctantly, mingle and interact with the other children around his own age.

Lucas is hard to get a read on, even people who have known him for a long time might be confused by his personality, as a lot of his traits are weirdly opposing to one another. On the surface you have a distracted, sarcastic and very easy going guy, who simply appears not to care, He'll poke fun, and mock people, and can be very stubborn and unbending on his views, even if he is proven to be wrong. He seems not to fit into his own house on many levels, something that Lucas actually agrees with, as he can be, well, a prick. He's seemingly arrogant, and can be straight up mean past the point of simple teasing on occasion.

However, on the flip side, Lucas is fiercely loyal to those he actually cares about, and would do just about anything for those he considered to be friends. Surprisingly, he is capable of focusing, and in fact, hyper focuses on the few things he had genuine interest. Very few situations will cause him to act irrationally, and he's capable of being very analytical and logical under a great amount of pressure, but, as many people do, he's naturally got a breaking point, and if pushed to that point, he goes absolutely ballistic, unreasonably so.

His first instance of magic came when he was seven, and was throwing a ball around with his dad in the house, and he accidentally throwing it with a little too much force towards a rather expensive painting. Naturally, this caused Lucas to be quite panicked, as expected to get the scolding of a century. However, quite conveniently the ball seemed to hang in the air and loose all it's momentum before it could hit the painting, and instead harmlessly dropped down onto the ground.

After the fact, any fear about the scolding was instantly gone, and instead he was excited about being able to use magic, and the prospect of attending Hogwarts in a few years.
