There is a small farm in the corner of Windsor, Berkshire, that is home to the quiet and unassuming Saskia family. From generation to generation, this land has been passed down between members of the Saskia family, only now ending up in the hands of Henry Saskia. His children have all decided that they didn't want to take care of the precious land- except for one.
Ciel has always been a farmgirl, even when she was just a toddler. Before she was even able to speak properly, she was trying to help take care of the animals, or even help farm. It was like destiny had placed her in the home where it knew she would prosper.
Despite the fact that her brothers all have different plans for the future (that regularly fluctuate), Ciel has always known that she wanted to take care of the farm- and more importantly, her mother and father. Her father, arguably, is her biggest supporter. Every time she fell off of a horse or got bit by an animal, her old man was there, helping her get back up and to not be so scared.
To Ciel, Henry is the best dad out there. He's the definition of a real cowboy (at least to her). He takes great care of his family, everyone in their small portion of town knows just how reliable he is, and he was the one to introduce Ciel to horse-riding. She wants to be just like him in every way!
Though, being raised on a farm means lots of hard-work and physical labor. When there's a problem in the fields, Ciel is alongside her brothers helping out whatever the issue is. Even then, her specialty has always been working with animals. Taking care of the cows who are getting just a little too old or helping train the yearlings so they can be great racers- she always wants to help out with the animals.
While she claims that she loves all the barn animals dearly, there is a certain horse that will always be her number one. And that horse is Pottage, an American Quarter with a kick for life. Pottage is a brown gelding who has always been Ciel's best friend. When her father brought him home the night before Ciel's sixth birthday, he knew that the two of them would be thick as thieves.
If one has a favorite animal, then surely, they'd have a least favorite as well. For Ciel, that animal is a chicken. Or really any bird, but specifically chickens. But she hadn't always had this intense fear. For a long time, she had really loved the flightless birds- but then the incident happened. What should've been a completely normal Sunday morning, became the day that Ciel realized she was a witch.
It all started out when Ciel was waiting for the rest of her family to get ready for church. It was a few weeks after her seventh birthday, and she was spending her time playing with some cute toys, all of which were shaped after chickens. As she was playing with her little friends, she felt an overwhelming urge to sneeze- and suddenly the toy chicken grew three sizes and began chirping around. While there were really no damages, the sight alone terrified the young Ciel and rendered her unable to even think of chickens without huffing up in fear.
To her family, there wasn't too much of a surprise that Ciel was a witch; they honestly just wanted her to get over her fear of chickens!

Ciel doesn't look at all like her brothers, but her resemblance to her parents is uncanny. Her hair is a darker shade of blonde, but it's still way too bright for her to be considered a brunette. She doesn't mind at all though, in fact, she finds her hair color to be rather nice. In the future, Ciel may even consider dyeing it an unnatural color.
She doesn't have really any distinct features about her; she's a little more muscular than her fellow classmates, and maybe a little taller, but Ciel has always looked quite average. It's like she fits in just a little too well. Her skin isn't too light nor too tanned, her eyes are a common shade of honey brown, she's just normal. In all honesty, her only abnormality is how she's just a little bit taller than the rest of the students her age, standing at a solid 4'11, (maybe 5'0 on a good day).
Where Ciel's personality shines, however, is in her style. Her outfits widely vary from typical cowboy outfits- fit with the boots and chaps- to simple everyday outfits. Normally though, she sticks to a mix of westerncore and earthcore.
While she loves to accessorize with jewelry and fancy shoes, Ciel has no piercings at all. She still needs to work up the courage to get her ears pierced- but once that happens, she's probably going to get a plethora of piercings. She just thinks they look so cool!
