Physical Description: In a state of constant dishevelment, Abaeze won't be caught outside in anything other than hoodies and baggy t-shirts. Usually, he picks up the cleanest thing off his floor and puts it on. He's a tall kid, even for his age, and tends to outgrow most of his clothes a few weeks after buying them. His jeans are always just a tad bit too high above his ankle, his coats just a little short around the sleeves. So the obvious solution was to just steal hid dad's clothes and make do.

Mental Description: Always tired, always looking for a way out of work, Abaeze tends to sit out anything he can get away with sitting out. He's not the most social of people, nor does he go to a ton of effort when it comes to school work. If he could spend the rest of his days by a window watching the clouds roll by, he would. His mind just doesn't spin as fast as everyone else's. His attention wanders, and he often finds himself spacing out in the middle of conversations. He's spent a majority of his life feeling just a tiny bit stupider than everyone else.

Biography: Abaeze and his father weren't exactly welcome amongst his mothers' relatives. A muggleborn, poor, and lacking a highschool diploma, Abaeze's father was a well kept secret. After a hush-hush birth and an even hushier-hush small one bedroom apartment purchased in the heart of London, Abaeze and his father disappeared off the radar. Abaeze never met his mother's family.

Their life was relatively peaceful. His father worked long hours, picking up whatever odd jobs would hire him. But when he came home, he always had the look of someone setting down a giant burden. He doted on Abaeze, taught him what it means to be a man. He was attentive and kind, pushing Abaeze to be better, and to resolve conflict with his best foot forward. They didn't go hungry, but the water bill coming around was always cause for concern.

They spent a lot of time together, Abaeze's father and him. Cooking and taking pictures and playing a weird mixture of football and catch in one of the abandoned scrapyards. Whatever time Abaeze's dad could steal from his job, he'd spend with his son. Life was hard, but they were happy.

Parents Clarifications: His mother's side of the family was wealthy and well mannered. Relatively new to the aristocratic scene, they'd spent a couple generations establishing themselves amongst the other ancient pureblood families, after a blinding success in the spirits industry. Building off of drinks showcasing traditional Nigerian recipes, his mother's family wanted to be surrounded by the right kind of people. Abaeze's good hearted but penniless father, wasn't one of those people.

After failing out of school, Abaeze's dad had a hard time sitting down to try and finish his education. It was more useful to be picking up shifts with construction crews and warehouse workers. He was a big man, great with his hands and harboring an easy smile.

Abaeze's parents met by pure chance. A rebellious young girl walking through muggle London, and a boy ducking out of a bread store with fresh loaves still steaming in his paper bag. She asked him how she got the bread, since they'd refused to sell her any after she tried to pay with wizarding money. They ended up sitting on the steps of the store, sharing bread and talking. Laughter flowed easily between them.

It helped, that they lived close by. They'd spend as much time as they could together. Eventually, Abaeze's dad found out his then-girlfriend was a witch. Eventually, they both decided they didn't care.

But the world is scary without your family, and Abaeze's mom had never been particularly good at anything. Just below average in school, just below average in sports. A little bit worse at everything than everyone around her. And as sweet as the boy with the bread was, her family by her side and a steady allowance was sweeter.

It was one of those pregnancies that simply didn't show, that threatened to ruin her steady life. With about half a day to decide what to do, and blood to clean off her bathtub, she did the only reasonable thing. Gave her boyfriend the child, bought him a place to stay, and asked him to disappear.

Abaeze spent a majority of his time in a muggle daycare. Think Pursuit of Happiness style daycare - dirt cheap, didn't teach many useful skills. When he was old enough to go to muggle school, he attended that instead, going in early for their breakfast club and staying late in their afterschool program.

First Instance of Magic: Abaeze didn't show any magical aptitude for a long time. Raised away from the magical world, he didn't miss what was never his in the first place. It was only in a moment of panic, that Abaeze snapped. A candle had fallen off his nightstand, after their power had been cut yet again. He'd shifted the rackety crate while he was re-taping an old quidditch poster to the wall, sending the nub of wax crashing to the floor. Wouldn't have been a problem, really. If they had been using something other than newspapers for a carpet.

Abaeze screamed. His dad, who'd been sitting nearby with a cup of coffee and a book in hand scrambled for something, anything to put out the fire. But the flames fizzled out a few seconds after they'd reached Abaeze, smoke rising from the singed newspaper and filling the room with an acrid smell. His dad cursed, making Abaeze's eyes go round. It was while he was cleaning the ashy bits of paper that Abaeze realized his dad hadn't actually done anything helpful.
