Farron was born in Sydney, Australia to a pureblood mother and a wizard born father. At 16 her mother died in a tragic broom accident, and she eventually moved to London with her father when she was 18 and had finished school. Since then she's been making her way up the astronomy career ladder and at 28 got a job offer to come to Hogwarts. After just over a year she had to leave due to extenuating circumstances.

Farron's quokka form would weigh around 4.0kg, around 46cm tall, and have a 26cm long tail. She would be a dark brown color as pictured except for her distinctive marking. Otherwise, a pretty standard looking quokka.
4. Distinctive Marking: Quokka's have pretty short brown hair, but for Farron's it would have a patch of hair between the ears that is red, longer than the rest, and curly. There is nothing more distinctive about Farron than all the hair she has when its down.

Mental Description: She is a fun loving, filled with life and joy kind of person. She had a fairly easy childhood, loved by her parents and did fairly well in school. While she experienced the loss of her mother in a broom accident as a teen, she was quick to recover to support the rest of her family. She's a determined woman who has a strong work ethic and knows what she wants and the values she holds.

Background: Farron spent most of her life growing up in Sydney, Australia. Her mother (Violet Matthews) was from the area and her father (Oliver Horne) moved there from England after working there for what was supposed to be a short term contract before falling in love and sticking around. While her mother was a pure-blood, her father was muggle-born, giving Farron a unique view of both the muggle and wizard world. As a teen, Violet died in a tragic broom accident on her way to work. It was a hard decision, but Oliver and Farron decided to move to London after Farron graduated from school to be around his family for support. Farron has lived in London since the age of 18, and while she sometimes misses home she's grateful for the opportunities that England has provided her in pursuing her love for astronomy.

Once moving to London Farron worked on becoming a certified, professional, astronomer. As a child her and her family always looked out at the stars at night, laying on a picnic blanket. It was a fond memory for her, and she wanted to further her studies about it as an adult. After a few years she was able to work as a very low ranked astronomer, more of a glorified assistant taking notes and running errands. But at the ripe age of 28 she was a full fledged astronomer after 10 years of work. When the opportunity came to spread her passion to children of looking into the stars and seeing the wonders beyond, she jumped at the opportunity. Now she finds herself within the infamous halls of Hogwarts, excited as ever for this new journey.

First Instance of Magic: Farron's first instance of magic was an adorable (slightly stressful) feat that was celebrated by both parents with a sigh of relief that she did have magic in her being that she was a bit late on showing it, not getting her first instance until she was 8. Her and her father were playing on a swing set and he was pushing her (as fathers do), as far up as she could go. At the peak of her height, Farron impulsively threw herself off the swing to see if she could land as she had seen some of the bigger kids do on the playground. She landed quite harshly on her knees and hands, but when her parents rushed to her aid to check for wounds she was unharmed. No scratches or scrapes despite there being a decent amount of gravel littered from nearby, she didn't even feel the jolt of pain that she probably was supposed to have from such a hard landing.

Physical Description: Farron has long wavy or curly red hair (depending on how well she's taken care of it recently) and green eyes. She's around 170cm (5'6") and has a heavier build. Her family has the genes for tanning easily, but because her work happens mostly at night she is paler than she was as a child.
